Within one month of debuting in World Championship Wrestling, Lance Storm set records and made history. Lance was the first wrestler in WCW to hold three singles championships at the same time when he won the US title, the Hardcore title and the Cruiserweight title. Showing how much he loved his home country, Lance changed the name of the US title to the Canadian Heavyweight Championship, and not long after collecting the 3 belts, Lance formed "Team Canada".
Lance debuted in WCW during a time when the company was going downhill. The debut happened long after the nWo had dominated the company, and the debut also happened when the WWE were destroying Nitro in the television ratings. Still, Lance Storm became one of the better things to happen to WCW during the final months of the company's existence. This video looks at Lance Storm, his time as a WCW belt collector, and the Team Canada faction in WCW.
    00:00 - Lance's WCW debut
03:29 - Lance starts collecting belts
08:57 - Storm vs Awesome "Canadian Rules" Match
11:35 - The Debut of Team Canada

I know that people say Lance Storm lacked charisma but that was kind of the point he was supposed to suck the fun out of the place. So he did a really great job at what he was aiming for.

Smoothest technical in ring worker. You would never see natural drop kicks which are text book beautiful and smooth as his. As for charisma, that was the point of him making people believe he lacked some. His blanketed stare into orbit (camera) while raising his index and ring finger pointing straight to the camera and utter the phrase, "if I can be serious for a moment" really gets the crowd to boo him totally. All this worked and people still believe he lacked charisma, lol. Underrated wrestler of the decade.

I know a lot will say Lance Storm was another wrestler who lacked charisma, but I disagree with that. He was a natural heel and was so good at getting the crowd riled up. It's just a shame he was another wrestler that was turned into a joke with the boring angle in WWE and it's probably best to pretend his dancing character never happened. Certainly one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time.

Guys like Lance never got a fair break. The incredible athletes and pure wrestlers like Lance, Shelton Benjamin, and Charlie Haas always get relegated to tag teams and midcard titles and rarely get a chance to ride at the top. Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles are two of those rare exceptions.

His WWE run might not have been what it could have been but lets not pretend he was jobbing out to everyone. He got mic time or backstage skits on a regular basis and was really improved from his wcw days.
He got an IC title run and what 4 or 5 tag team championships.
The WWE didn't just give anyone a mic back then. They certainly weren't giving the kind of TV time he waa getting to guys they didn't believe in. Yeah he should have been booked a little stronger and he probably would have been a Main Eventer but the company was loaded at the time. Cant really fault them.

People have always been wronged about Lance. That dude was incredible as hell! And he definitely deserves a spot in any HOF. He would've made a great heel champion.

The way Lance Storm was pushed in WCW during his first 6 months there alone made me feel personally that he was destined to be in the world title scene. If that company had some legs to stand on and some more financial backing in 2001 Lance Storm would have been a major player in world championship wrestling.

Lance Vs Kurt should of been a program in the Invasion. They would of put on some clinics.. I think Storm needs to be up there with Angle, Bret and Benoit

Storm was so underrated and I prefer Storm over Jericho and still believe to this day that he should have been world champion over Jericho. He was one of the best technical wrestlers in the industry.

I was shocked as a kid that a ECW tag team guy got such a big push in WCW.
Then I was shocked again that a guy who hold 3 WCW belts at the same time got buried in WWF ...

Of all the places I've seen him work WCW seemed to be the right fit. He didn't fit the hardcore style of ECW and WWE just made a fool of him, whereas WCW showed appreciation for his talent and allowed him to show the audience what he was capable of. One of the most underrated wrestlers of all time for sure.

First time I saw Storm was in ECW, and I was an instant fan. My college buddies and I would always look for Impact Player matches. Storm has a great physique that was realistic and felt achievable. I'm glad he got the limelight in WCW. I always thought his tag line should have been from one of his interviews. "I don't sing. I don't dance. I'm here to wrestle."

Storm is so good. I was fully on board with him in ecw and wcw. Watching this video made me remember how good he was in the chaotic end times of wcw. I truly think that WCW would have had him drop all the belts, and push for the world title, if they had stayed afloat. I would have loved that.

Storm was brilliant in ECW, he just wrestled and didn't really do much of the hard-core stuff and was a nice change of pace in ECW as half of the Impact Players. 100% one of the finest pure wrestlers to ever get in the ring. And im calling it, had the best dropkick ever.
