The people who think his buddy in the trench didn't help him are ignorant. That man fed ammo and grenades exactly like this man needed. He is the only reason this dude was able to lay down so much punishment on those Russians. And he kept his shit together. He may not have pulled the trigger. But he damn sure provided the bullets. Honestly solid trench work team work from both of them. Hollywood movies very rarely get combat right enough.

Also, what was he going to shoot with? "Predator" took his rifle after his broke. Could've thrown some grenades maybe, but since they ran out of those too quite quickly...
And at first he just gave what he was asked to, but then he got into action and pulled everything there ready.

Without hesitation… “Everyone knew what they were doing”. He had fire support from mortars. Constant communication from eyes in the sky. A range of weapons being steadily supplied by his buddy who may have been new but trusted him completely and did his part without question or delay. And a commander who made it clear that he and his partner mattered more than the position. It looks like. He was alone but he knew others had his back. That is a motivated, cohesive tight band of fighters.
He also had balls of steel and a ruthless analytical instinct under duress. That is one awesome soldier!
He even ends the battle with a pithy quip. What the go pro doesn’t show is him adjusting his cuff links and dinner jacket after the battle.

Also, one called me a Russian and said I was a Russian mafioso. Two other people called me a Russian. They said Ukraine was in Russia and they started frowning at me and saying bad things about Russia.
And one said, " Ukraine, too, is part of the United States".
This problem is gone now. Next time I go to the Philippines I don't have to be ashamed to say that I am from Ukraine.

Wow. I saw this in passing on Telegram but as I don’t speak the languages I didn’t pay much attention. There’s been a raft of combat footage and although, as an ex-soldier, I find it all interesting most of the videos reflect the fog of war and you can’t really work out what is happening beyond someone shooting. But seeing it again, both with the translations and the commentary with pauses to examine the details… well, this is a striking bit of video. And as someone said below, this bloke has balls of Ukrainium. How he manages to maintain SA, weapon selection, how he sees what the enemy is doing. almost before they do it. And the teamwork under fire. I always hoped and relied on my squad mates being this good but seeing it in a real, deadly situation makes me realise how difficult teamwork under fire is. I’m lucky I never had to fire my rifle in anger - so I have mad respect for anyone who can hold it together like this under fire like this. And under fire from a 30mm cannon five metres away! Sure, Russian vehicles are notorious for poor gun depression but it’s not something you want to rely on with shells over an inch wide flying a foot or two over your head.
This is bravery of the sort my compatriots in previous wars would get the George Cross for. Maybe even the VC. And it seems to be a fairly regular thing with these Ukrainians. Damn, I’m glad they are on our side and want to have societies like ours. If this is what they’re like, I can see how the USSR defeated the Nazis on the Eastern front. Thing is, the Ruzzians have convinced themselves it was all them. They would have lost without the valour of oppressed people like the Ukrainians on their side.

Very eye opening. I think a lot of men have thought about what being at war would entail. Giving a tangible dimension to that generates a whole new level of thought and perspective. That said, the bravery of his actions are apparent. What impresses me most is that he was calm enough to not try and force the situation; he played his cards as tactically and well as he absolutely could--whether that be the disparity in numbers, or the status of his fellow soldier. Nor did he try to put his comrade down or speak ill of him to elevate his own actions. That's a leader.

European farmers under a cold shower - helping business? Escalation with China on the verge of bankruptcy of the largest bank due to nuclear blackmail and the seizure of money helped the business? 4 starving people in Africa help businesses? It would help business in the short term if we were simply taken in 3 days ... And we would have been taken in 3 days if we did not know who the Russians are today, and what they have done in submissive Kazakhstan and Belarus ...
My wife and I sent a lot of money to the money account in the early days, simply because we had doubts that our bank and our accounts would still exist in the coming days, and not because we wanted to cash in on something or show altruism ... They think how they can surrender us, and many leaders offered to surrender several territories ... To delay the escalation ... This was absolutely incredible piece of footage from the war in Ukraine. "Predator" and his buddy deserve all the praise they are getting for being able to function and fight off such a vicious attack.
I've seen some pretty brutal videos of this war from the drone perspective, probably the most horrifying one i've seen was of a Ukrainian soldier trying to fight off a Russian BMP with a pistol, that image will never be forgotten by me, the courage, or maybe desperation that must have gone through that soldier's head to do that, to keep fighting while being severely outgunned, it's unbelievable to me. However nothing will ever beat a footage that is this close and personal, footage like this shows just how vicious close combat quarters actually is.
Very insightful commentary on your part as well, thanks for doing it.
Not long after this video was published we saw another similarly vicious footage from trench warfare from a Ukrainian soldier perspective, it's equally close range, vicious combat where Ukrainians are defending the last road to Bakhmut. the title of the video is "Бій роти Гонор за останню дорогу в Бахмут/DEFENDING "ROAD OF LIFE" BAKHMUT" should be the first result on youtube if you search for it. Would be interesting to see you reaction to it.

I am writing this so that people understand how much the Russian language and those who communicate in Russian are "infringed" in Ukraine, because this is what Russians like to talk about. The Ukrainian military defend their land by communicating in any language.

    • @PavloPravdiukov
      @PavloPravdiukov ปีที่แล้ว +93

I was born in Enerhodar, the town with a large Nuclear Plant that is now under occupation. There were 7 schools, out of which 6 schools had russian as a main teaching language and only 1 school taught people in Ukrainian. So when russia started to talk about "infringed russian-speakers", I thought it was a joke.
It was really hard to find people in my town to have a conversation in Ukrainian, the language I found to be more expressive and interesting. And when I finished school and moved to Kyiv, the number of russian-speakers around me was still significant, and as an (ex-)russian-speaker myself I can certainly say, they were not infringed in the slightest. I had the opposite feeling actually. the Party of Regions were doing everything to suppress the development of the Ukrainian language. They also were sabotaging the program for returning Tatars in Crimea, but that's a story for another time.
When the war started (in 2014) and they used "infringed russian-speakers" as their casus belli, some people started to switch to Ukrainian, so those bastards would have less "casus" to cause "belli". And in 2022 a whole lot more people trying to switch to Ukrainian. Still, there are a lot of people who are shy or lazy enough to not do that, and there are soldiers who don't really have time to learn Ukrainian.
With all that I wrote you might say, "since most of you were using russian, why do you even need Ukrainian?". If you go to any village, you will hear people speaking Ukrainian immediately. People in towns and cities talk russian because of centuries of genocide that russia did to us. Hunger, deportations, mass murders, being "meat" in WW2, hunger again, mass murders again, all while "freed territories" being filled with russians from poor regions, like they now do in Crimea... Just accepting russian language as a state language would feel like a defeat in our fight for the survival of the nation. Unfortunately, Ukrainians in the Kuban region have already suffered this defeat and now consider themselves russians, even though they continue using Ukrainian words.

    - Greetings from Ukraine! 💙💛
    - Thank you for a good video on such an important topic for the English-speaking audience!
    P.S.:
    - Ukraine is now defending not only itself, but also the entire democratic world. Because, as you remember, Putin said that NATO should roll back, as he wants, to the borders of 1997. Because he, Putin, wants to occupy and enslave all the countries of the former Soviet Union and the Warsaw bloc (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, etc............). So please, push US government to supply Ukraine with F-16.
    - The only way to stop the war started by the Russians is to sufficiently arm the Ukrainian army, to throw out the Russian occupiers of 1991 borders, and to give Ukraine the opportunity to join NATO and the EU. Only this will stop the Russian killers now in future times! Please, F-16.
    - So, in order to speed up peace time and the victory of Ukraine, and the entire Democratic World in general, over the Russian fascist occupiers and the expulsion of the Russian occupiers from Ukraine, so that they, the Russians, no longer have the opportunity to kill us, Ukrainians, we ask you, if possible, your channel, to make a mention in your next videos the need to supply Ukraine with F-16. Giving Ukraine F-16 will accelerate the expulsion of the bloody Russian invaders from Ukraine, and will save the lives of many Ukrainian civilians.
    N.B.:
    - From Ukraine with love, hope for a quick victory and faith in freedom, Your subscribers! 💙💛
    - Ukraine will join NATO, Ukraine will join the EU! Ukraine and the entire Democratic World will win!

    • @Happiones

I'd wouldn't mind betting the F16s are, like the Abrams tanks are coming, but even more so than the Abrams, the F16 weapon's system is a bit too complex to get trained up on in a couple of months. Ukrainian pilots are even now doing simulator training on them so who knows what the situation really is regarding the F16s. P.S. Best way to let the Russians know they're coming is when they get there and their pilots find they are needing to try to avoid air to air rockets fired from aircraft beyond their radar's maximum range.

    • @chuhaistyr3807
      @chuhaistyr3807 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Happiones - Already now, there are people who know how to pilot the F-16, and who are ready to help Ukraine defend itself from the Russian invaders.
      - Type in the TH-cam search "Retired F-16 ace 'Two Dogs' Hampton willing to fly combat missions for Ukraine" (Forces News) - and he is not the only one like that
      - Yes, it will be a limited contingent of pilots, but these dozen veteran pilots who know how to fly the F-16, and who (most importantly, show a desire to help protect the people of Ukraine from the bloody Russian invaders) they could help to better close the Ukrainian sky from Russian winged killer missiles.
      - This would already be a significant reinforcement.
      - And during this time, in a few months, it would be possible to train Ukrainian pilots who already have flight experience and who do not need to train from zero level.
      - So providing F-16 is a political decision. And if there is political will, US government can provide F-16 right now, because veteran pilots who know how to fly F-16 and are ready to help us defend ourselves against Russian killers and occupiers - such veteran pilots exist
      - So please push your US government to give us F-16 now, not later. Because what is measured in a month for US is measured in Ukraine in lives of defenders of Ukraine and Ukrainian civilians who died in the struggle.
      - Because the sooner we throw out the Russian occupiers from Ukraine, the fewer defenders of Ukraine and peaceful Ukrainian citizens will die.
      - So please give us F-16 so that we can defend ourselves!

One of the bigest problem of Russian's "mobilization" is a lack of instructors. We also have thousands of new soldiers now. So even if Western soldiers don't have such type of experience - they can teach newbies a lot of the tghings. As far as I know, people who went to the treaining in the western countries are mostly new soldiers without military experience. So it has some reason and in any case we don't need to pull out more experienced soldiers (like this guy) from the frontline, create new training camps and concentrate too many people there (that also can be a target for the rockets, it happened in the past).

Anytime US soldiers got heavy resistance they just pulled back and leveled the earth. This is not to say US troops never experienced heavy combat but it was definitely a different kind of war.
