While there is no doubt that Russia invaded Ukraine, the ultimate cause of the war was the decision of the West - and here we are talking mainly about the United States - to turn Ukraine into a western stronghold on the border with Russia. A key element of this strategy was Ukraine's entry into NATO, a move that not only Putin, but the entire Russian foreign policy establishment saw as an existential threat that needed to be addressed. Too bad there are lots of ignorant Americans complaining about the amount of aid we're sending ukraine, in my opinion I think we should double the amount the us is giving.
@@shadowrealm6013 I agree. I see a lot of conservative/neo-conservative people complaining about US aid to Ukraine and it doesn't make sense to me. I can understand not wanting to get involved in more foreign conflicts after Iraq and Afghanistan, however, the Ukrainians actually want our help and support to defend their own fledgling democracy, unlike the Afghans and Iraqis. In addition, US soldiers aren't even on the ground in Ukraine (other than to keep track of delivered aid). These same complaining voices say they're worried about corruption. But for 20 years they had no issue sinking billions upon billions of dollars into 2 of the most corrupt governments in the world: Iraq and Afghanistan. They say "Well, we should focus on our problems at home". Without getting into the detailed domestic policies (or lack thereof), of certain political parties and politicians, I have no idea how an old M113 APC or M2 Bradley or thousands of rounds of ammo are going to provide more funding for schools, for example. A lot of this equipment is old. Or the ammo is old and if not used by a certain date, will expire. It all sits in warehouses, costing money to maintain. Sending it to the Ukrainians, who have proven and shown many times that they can and will use it for the intended purpose, is far more cost effective for American taxpayers. (In contrast, the Afghans just handed American aid to the Taliban). They say, "Well, we need to make more jobs and build American industries." Yeah, donating ammo and equipment and aid to Ukraine will leave vacancies that the US military will want filled. And they already have started buying more from US defense companies, and building more factories. This helps the US economy. And finally they say, "Why should we care about Ukraine?" Why shouldn't the USA, who never lets the world forget how much they love freedom, and democracy, support a fledging democracy like Ukraine while it fights for it's freedom from Russian dominance??? For me, this is no different than the US liberating Europe from N*zi occupation and the Pacific from Imperial Japan! I think it's more patriotic and more American to support Ukraine than not too! The only conclusion I can reach is that people who are against supporting Ukraine either, are doing it out of political loyalty or because they've swallowed Russian and Authoritarian propaganda hook, line and sinker! sinker.

As an infantry man myself, there is no training that can prepare you for such situations. The bit that amazes me is that they just had two of their brothers seriously wounded and had to send them back to get medical care and right after that, they're back in the thick of it again like nothing happened. Not enough time to process what's going on, you don't get to say goodbyes or grieve. You lose a brother and a brother replaces him and these guys don't have a word to say about it. I noticed they were talking a lot about nothing. Making jokes that weren't funny and laughing at everything. It was almost as if they thought that being quiet would be the end of them. Mocking the enemy, glorifying their demise despite giving them a chance to surrender and you could hear the sincere hope that they do surrender in his voice. Everything they do seems to be a coping mechanism to get through this conflict as sane as they can. This video was cool. We got to see a lot of kit and a lot of fighting. It was very entertaining. But also extremely educational. It's a shame people have to suffer like this for us to learn. Even more of a shame that many people don't learn.

@Trippin Billies I had an uncle who fought in WWII. He's wake up at night screaming according to my aunt. He was such a nice guy too- too bad he had to be a warrior but he did his duty.
I hope our old F/A-18s do get approved to be sent from Australia. Insane footage, they're doing awesome. Boil it down to a basic draftee/conscript vs a volunteer fighting for his own land the dynamic shift is pretty large.
Unbelievable coolness, bravery and even humour in the middle of all that? There are no words to describe such heroism....and as for whoever had the camera.....!! Humbling. May it all end soon.
KMB is passing tests in a training center. Not everyone can pass it to get into the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. This is a course on endurance, pain, fear, the psyche of a fighter. You definitely have those in the US to get into the special forces.

This chevron represents the rune "Tiwaz." The rune "Tiwaz" is a rune in the Germanic runic alphabet and is associated with the god of war, Tyr. It symbolizes strength, courage, valor, and righteousness. The Tiwaz rune is also associated with leadership, honor, discipline, and victory. This rune expresses willpower and the ability to overcome obstacles.
The Germanic god of war was known as Tiw and the English day of the week is derived from this Germanic god's name instead, first known as Tiwsday and eventually Tuesday. So the names of our days have Tyr, Oden, Thor, Freya. I have great respect for Azov, they uphold epic heroism. I think that is what people respect and admire about the great warriors of Ukraine.
Some brief takeaways from this video: 1. These newly formed Assault Brigades seem to be absolutely positively for real. Volunteers only and everyone knew up front that they would be given the toughest assignments. 2. Even just one barricaded enemy in a dugout can delay the taking of a trench position for hours on end. The VDV may have been eviscarated in this conflict, mostly by being thrown into very ill-conceived operations at the start of the war but the actual Russian paratroopers on the frontlines are living up to their reputation as fierce fighters that will die rather than surrender. 3. The amount of small arms ammunition and handhelds that need to be expended to take even relatively tiny enemy strongpoints is just bonkers. I´m starting to see why so many nations were tempted to develop things like chemical weapons and flamethrowers during WWI. Even today with fully automatic weapons, body armor, lightweight grenade launchers and armored vehicle support with mobile heavy machine guns it's an absolute slog dislodging a determined enemy like this, imagine doing it with barely anything other than bolt-action rifles and bayonets. 4. The Ukrainians seem to have very smooth communications up and down their chain, and be able to integrate the drones and the tanks into their operations quite effectively. Then again we don't know how much of this is due to selective editing. 5. The amount of focus it must take to keep packing mags with a wounded buddy next to you that might or might not be bleeding out...jeeesus.

They do not plan to construct death camps, nor do they want to kill Jews , nor do they plan to invade other countries, nor they think of the world in terms of their alleged racial supremacy, nor do they follow orders from their fuerher, and so on and so on. The same refers to the rad-black flag. 5) In contrast, Russians fight to destroy Ukraine as a state, Ukrainians as a nation, and to restore the Soviet Union, which was at least as murderous as the Nazi regime and was responsible for starting the WWII.
It is often forgotten that many American and European politicians and strategists opposed NATO expansion from the very beginning because they understood that the Russians would perceive it as a threat and that such a policy would eventually lead to disaster. The list of adversaries includes George Kennan, Clinton's Secretary of Defense William Perry and his Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General John Shalikashvili, Paul Nitze, Robert Gates, Robert McNamara, Richard Pipes and Jack Matlock, to name a few. At the NATO summit in Bucharest in April 2008, both French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke out against President George W. Bush's plan for Ukraine's entry into the North Atlantic Alliance. Merkel later said her opposition was based on her belief that Putin would interpret this as a "declaration of war."
Of course, the opponents of NATO expansion were right, but they lost the battle and NATO moved east, which eventually provoked the Russians to start a preventive war. If the United States and its allies had not taken steps to bring Ukraine into NATO in April 2008, or if they had been prepared to accommodate Moscow's security interests after the Ukraine crisis erupted in February 2014, Ukraine probably would not be there would be war, and her borders would look like they did when she gained her independence in 1991.
The only conclusion I can reach is that people who are against supporting Ukraine either, are doing it out of political loyalty or because they've swallowed Russian and Authoritarian propaganda hook, line and sinker! sinker.

Awesome footage of close combat! Hope the wounded soldier is okay and recovering. Lots of lessons learned in these videos. During training, my radio operator and I put camo on our hands and faces (summertime) and did a patrol to check the perimeter. We backed up under a tree with low hanging branches to listen for sounds of anyone coming and drink some water. An entire platoon of the OPFOR (opposing forces) walked by us less than ten yards away and never saw us. Camo does work!

@@dgsams IMHO usa and britain must be completely destroyed for the military crimes they committed in the course of the history, Clinton, Bush, blaire, Biden, Powell, rice, must be put to prison first.
The West has made a colossal mistake, for which it and many others have not yet finished paying.

This chevron represents the rune "Tiwaz."
The rune "Tiwaz" is a rune in the Germanic runic alphabet and is associated with the god of war, Tyr.
Some brief takeaways from this video:
It’s not a conflict. It’s a full scale war.
selective editing not good enough. 25:51 Wolfsangel.

They do not plan to construct death camps, nor do they want to kill Jews , nor do they plan to invade other countries, nor they think of the world in terms of their alleged racial supremacy, nor do they follow orders from their fuerher, and so on and so on. They're not Nazi for sure. I believe for them this symbol means they're ready to die for their motherland. The same refers to the rad-black flag. 5) In contrast, Russians fight to destroy Ukraine as a state, Ukrainians as a nation, and to restore the Soviet Union, which was at least as murderous as the Nazi regime and was responsible for starting the WWII. This alone is a clear evidence for Russians in this conflict being at least fascist-like, if not Nazi-like movement. Not symbols count, but actions.
