Sounds like my story. Ill summarize: met in training for a job, i criticized her ability to do the job (was trying to get the job, competitively), she hated me alot, her family told her to avoid me, its 4 years later now and we are married and her family loves me. Plot twist strikes again!
My mom has a similar story with my dad. Dad really liked her and they both worked at the same Big 5. Mom tells me she found him annoying and full of himself and kept telling him no. He left all kinds of things for her and after one shift she found balloons or flowers (I can’t remember which) and a card on her car and she finally caved to one date. They got engaged a month later and married 6 months after that. They then had me 9 months after they married. 😬
She actually replied to some comments. The waitress wasnt being totally sincere as she stated because she was laughing and smiling. She wasnt mad at her for telling her.
No offense to her, but the dismissive attitude to the waitress is exactly why people don't feel comfortable calling out cheaters. Like, don't be mad at the messenger for bringing to your knowledge that your partner is literal trash. If that were me, I'd give her the biggest tip for saving me time and energy. EDIT: Zarinah responded and turns out the waitress was a snake and seemed to come off very manipulative which is why she said what she said. It was not because she was dismissive of the messenger telling her bf cheated on her.
She wasn’t dismissive. The waitress was being petty. People should mind their business. She should have pulled her to the side if she was sincere. You’d be embarrassed

I doubt the partner was going to say anything so that was karma biting him in the butt for thinking he could take both girls to the same place and not get caught. Plus even if the gf doesn’t find out, not like the waitress could’ve known who was the main gf, at least one person in the wrong did which is better than them both if not more getting played. If more people had this mentality to call out cheaters, then no doubt dude’s gf would’ve been told by someone else or even the waitress if she ever came back to the bar by herself.

I've got one: Our previous/first Valentine's day ended with my boyfriend faceplanting in the rain and dropping the arts/crafts gift I made him into puddles and he got his car towed. So he was DETERMINED to make this one better. Intensely planning a romantic weekend getaway and hid details from me to surprise me, that sort of stuff. Fast forward to Vday, all the hotels were fully booked, so we couldn't exactly have a 3-day weekend getaway in the city. It's fine 🤷♀️ just change plans a little. We're in SoCal so he plans a romantic walk through the canals at Venice. (If anyone is in SoCal, you know EXACTLY why you avoid Venice) --cue the unbearable heat in the city, us being harassed by panhandlers, him almost getting run over, getting mooned by a homeless person, and me stepping in a warm gooey pile of feces. I couldn't enjoy the day at all because of the stress, and he felt awful for not actually researching how Venice is. Buuuut there is one nice thing about Venice: it's right next to its prettier sister Santa Monica. We spend the rest of the day looking around the Getty Villa 😁 (it's so beautiful and was SO EMPTY!) and looking at the beautiful scenery of the beach and forests of Topanga We spend the next day re-doing Valentine's day by exploring some local shops at Topanga, then spending the rest of the day at Dave &Buster's and getting Korean bbq 😊 Even though a lot of it sucked, I still adored his determination to make it a special day.
My husband one year went to the flower shop to get me flowers and saw a heart shaped flower and thought it was a great Valentine's Day surprise. It was one of the big heart shapes funeral wreath! Real story.
Not my horror story, but a friend's: They got a rose bouquet and chocolates from their at-the-time boyfriend, the first time they'd gotten a nice Valentine's gift. They noticed after a while that the bouquet had 11 roses, not 12. SURPRISE, they figured out that boyfriend gave the single rose to someone else on the side. Safe to say, they are no longer dating.
In eastern slavic countries (at least some of them) it's rude to give someone an even number of flowers. It used to be considered bad luck, because you always bring an even number of flowers to dead people's graves, and an uneven number - to the living. Some people still think it's bad luck... So giving someone 12 roses is like wishing them death. Just so you know, if you ever date a slavic bf, they might not be cheating, just want you to live longer 😅

Hiya! Little bit of a PSA here! Just because someone grew up near the ocean, doesn't mean they know how to swim or enjoy swimming. One time when I was 16, I was working at my first job at a pizza place. I finished my shift and it was about 11:00pm and very dark out. It was also Valentines Day and I walked to my car in the back of the buildings parking lot and opened my car door to get inside. I jumped back in shock when I saw a GIANT teddy bear sitting in my passenger seat and a bunch of flowers with chocolates.. I immediately flipped out because someone who like me clearly BROKE INTO MY CAR while I was working and left this for me but didn't have a clue as to who it would be. Very creepy.

My husband one year went to the flower shop to get me flowers and saw a heart shaped flower and thought it was a great Valentine's Day surprise. It was one of the big heart shapes funeral wreath! Real story.
Not my horror story, but a friend's:
They got a rose bouquet and chocolates from their at-the-time boyfriend, the first time they'd gotten a nice Valentine's gift.
They noticed after a while that the bouquet had 11 roses, not 12.
SURPRISE, they figured out that boyfriend gave the single rose to someone else on the side.
Safe to say, they are no longer dating.

In eastern slavic countries (at least some of them) it's rude to give someone an even number of flowers. It used to be considered bad luck, because you always bring an even number of flowers to dead people's graves, and an uneven number - to the living. Some people still think it's bad luck... So giving someone 12 roses is like wishing them death. Just so you know, if you ever date a slavic bf, they might not be cheating, just want you to live longer 😅

One time when I was 16, I was working at my first job at a pizza place. I finished my shift and it was about 11:00pm and very dark out. It was also Valentines Day and I walked to my car in the back of the buildings parking lot and opened my car door to get inside. I jumped back in shock when I saw a GIANT teddy bear sitting in my passenger seat and a bunch of flowers with chocolates.. I immediately flipped out because someone who like me clearly BROKE INTO MY CAR while I was working and left this for me but didn't have a clue as to who it would be. Very creepy.
