    In preparation of getting the fork seals changed on the project bike I remove the front forks. Very easy to do and this video should help you remove them.
    You could also change the front pads and anything to do with the front tire (rotors, bearings etc).
    Next video we will be making the spring compressor and jam nut plate tools so stay tuned!

    Perfect timing for me to find this video. I'm swapping '05 600 forks to my '02 750. I had a pretty good idea of how to do it but it always helps to actually see it done

    Hi Gilbert! Thank you again for good video support! I've assembled everything except the left and right brake saddle. Question: Did I loose a bushing for the right side (in driving direction) between wheel and fork or is ther none?? The wheel can move on the axle without with brake saddles to the right?? Left side is limited by the screw bushing where the axle gets screwed in. This looks creepy because it seems the centering is only the job of the Brake pads. Again, did I miss or loose something?
    Thank you and greetings from Germany!
    Tobi

      @@GilbertGardens At 7:22 you see a gap between Fork and wheel. I fear that I have lost a part. At 7:30 you pull axle to the left. Is there a part helping to center the wheel?

      @@vespa-garage9215 I don't believe so . Once I loosen the fork bolts that tighten the Forks to the axle it just slides out. If your unsure though go to a parts site with the diagrams. You should be able to see all the parts exploded. I'll look when I get on the laptop.

      @@GilbertGardens okay and one more thing I have the same bike as you and I have just the left fork leaking how can I just add a little oil for that side hoist it up and take the caps off and just add some oil lol?

      @GilbertGardens  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brucehamman4201 if the seals are gone you need to replace. When fork oil leaks out it eats paint and destroys brake pads. If you has soaked into the pads they need to be changed.
