Happy Tuesday everyone! We just want to apologize again for the state of Sofyan’s voice. He actually started to lose it the morning we shot this video and that is why in some of the clips, you’ll hear his voice sound okay, but it got progressively worse as the day went on. We also had originally planned to film the Ecoboost Mustang as a stand alone video, but his voice was completely shot by the time we finished filming the GT, we had to combine the two. We apologize for that but we appreciate your understanding! Thankfully, his voice is back to normal and all is well! 😊
I appreciate the Mustang V8 for what it is. But I also appreciate a Model 3 Performance that does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds silently and can carry passengers in comfort when not drag racing.
Tommy is right, I don't feel compelled to upgrade from S550 as it has most of the features of the S650, especially because I don't like the new tablet style dash.
Well stay with that then. Eventually, your gonna have to change your mind. Everything is going electric and that is the last muscle car ever. So either stay behind or get with the program. I don’t like it when everything is going electric, but we have to face reality and realize that we’re getting close to that time.

I remember the clutch on my 96 Cobra. Every time I drove it, I felt like I had a workout.... and it caught very high, no point in that loooooong range of the pedal. That thing was animal though, cant wait to drive one of these one day!

My 2024 is my fourth mustang in 6 years. I previously had a 2022 gt pp1 and I absolutely loved that car. But this 24 gt premium is just amazing. I always say "I won't get another one" but ford always comes up with something better.

Good review and good that you don't beat around the bush on the fact that this is basically a glorified S550 with a facelift. Personally I think the new dashboard is a massive let down because the double brow is what makes a Mustang a Mustang and it is what you see all the time when you drive it. This new dash thing just looks like any other BMW/Kia/Hyundai. I bought a 2023 specifically because of this.
If you opt for an Elantra N you get similar 0-60 times, better handling, better MPG rating, better electronics, a larger trunk and a fully usable rear seat. You also save about $18,000 when comparing the sticker prices of the two vehicles. Ford enthusiasts should try out an Elantra N before they buy... they may walk away amazed.
Great review and your voice was fine 👍 I really want Ford to keep their V8's. In both this Mustang and the F150 RaptorR. Let people choose if they want electric/hybrid or V8 power. Don't force us out!
Embargo lifted as my YT feed is absolutely loaded with Mustang GT reviews. As an owner of '19 Bullitt, I gotta say, this gen has yet to grow on me. I hate the trend of adding screens in lieu of buttons. But gotta give them props for keeping the 5.0 and Mustang itself alive (we don't speak about the Mach-E).
Not another shameless plug-in for Michelin 4s. It's like the default internet tires. The standard internet ( sheep kit) for a new car 1) paint correction 2) PPF the hell out of everything 3) Michelin P4s 4) E85 tune. Did I miss anything?
Three things nobody mentioned they didn’t fix or change the convertible top mechanism so there’s not those spaces in the back the side panels of the door which is a traditional Mustang feature is nonexistent in this car which I don’t like and they switched the steering wheel controls, sure used to be the volume and forward or reverse was on your left hand so you could shift with your right hand no, they switched

Nice review, as always. Personally I love the car and can't wait to buy one. The last of its kind. Big V8 pony car, rag top, and best of all manual transmission. Ford could have just bagged it like Chevy and Dodge - I'm proud of them for putting this car out. Looking forward to annoying all the EV drivers with the exhaust set in track mode for years to come!
I get 28-29mpg highway in my Bullitt (basically same engine as this) and 22 long term combined. These engines can be fairly fuel efficient if you want them to (for a 5.0 that is).

Same price as loaded M240 and very close to the new M2 so I’d order that for about same price as this. New M2 is about $70 this is $60. Big difference is the V8 sound.
Love the look of the body style and the steering wheel is beautiful. I don’t know how I feel about the instrument cluster being a full screen. I prefer physical gauges with maybe a small screen like the current gen. Don’t really want to stare at a “tablet” all the time. Just my personal preference but overall this new gen is gorgeous.
Sorry but... the dashboard with that giant screen look REALLY bad. What focus group are these companies hiring??? It will age like a 2008 iPhone looks today.
There is not replacement for a good ol'fashioned V8. Dont know if the base V8 comes as an OHV or not but... obviously the top V8 is DOHC. Basically, the four cylinder that comes in the new Mustang is the Focus RS engine? Lets get it !!!
How about changing the name to the Mustero. The new dash is just a video game for those raised with their cellphones glued to their ears. I love Mustangs. This not one of them.

Active cooling in the stang. Most cars are just ventilated. Makes a huge difference.

The S550 gen indeed did come with a hood prop. I say that as an owner that put in struts aftermarket.

I think the next generation ME should follow up with this style. However, keep some of the very important physical buttons: HAVC and volume.

You can’t order the convertible with a spoiler. I’m guessing because it would catch on the antenna when opening the trunk.

Right, if this was a Hybrid with a 75 to 100HP electric motor, the 0-60 would be at least 3.8. The electric motor really rockets it off the line.

The horsepower has increased but not 0-60 time. It's been the same since 2015.
That gas mileage is just not gonna work for me. I didn’t want to really spend any more than $20 to fill it up for a track day! 😂
