I'll just go ahead and officially address this here since the comments are already rolling in about car TH-camrs who buy supercars. No, I'm not a supercar only channel now. My next few videos are on my Grand National, DSM builds, my $4,000, 200,000 mile Chevy Van, etc. I like a little bit of everything and fixing a broken supercar has always been on my list. So the channel is still the same, I won't be doing supercar rally videos or videos where I visit my friends house who just bought a new supercar so we can rev it and talk the entire time. I will always buy broken cool cars and have a blast bringing them back to life. Hope you guys enjoy the McLaren series and can't wait to show you the next video!
I really hope so Alex. Because all the TH-camrs „buying“ broken Supercars are a shame to watch. No one with taste gives a shit about a Lamborghini, McLaren etc. I think we all love your channel because of the older cars, the special ones who have a history to tell and character. It would be my personal opinion that anyone who is concerned about Alex being a supercar channel after this video obviously has not seen any of his previous video's and his love for the GN, turbo T/A, etc, etc. Personally I am excited to see what Alex does with a Supercar as it just adds to the channel.

Since then it's been my only dream car, and I've become such a nerd about it I've memorized the reasoning for naming scheme. M = Mclaren, P4 = Project 4, 12 = Mclaren international performance index, C = carbon. Best of luck on the project!

Absolutely love the content! Love the car. One thing McLaren's are notorious for is breaking alot but I think you guys can handle fixing it. This could be the most interesting series yet!
I have heard that as well. However, I've had 2 friends who have owned them, and they have not had problems. We drove one a 120 miles away to a track day, beat the piss out of it, and drove it home. No problems. Something tells me they are having some consistency issues more than anything. Congrats Alex on your new purchase. Buying from JR you know you’re not getting ripped off. Love his channel too. I would love to see you make it your daily driver. Cars like that are meant to be driven hard. Not sit in a F-ING garage only to come out on a perfect weather condition day once or twice a year. Can’t stand that. I know it’s not going to be your channel priority because that’s not you and you and Peter have a lot going on but I can’t wait to see you get it dialed back in again and tear it down the track I hope 🤞. My two favorite TH-cam automotive creators! Alex, I’m surprised you haven’t seen McLarens around Chicago. I lived not far from Chicago for 15 years and saw a handful of them through the years. Congratulations on being a McLaren owner!
Well, if you decide that 615hp isn't enough, the Evo Motorsports MP4-12C turbo upgrade is an awesome route to have a good jump in power while spooling a little better than those stock turbos. It'll be interesting to see the fix and modding progression on this car alongside the DSMs.
Excited to see the next video , and see what you guys figure out ! Even though there was no codes or sign of performance loss, I'm suspecting a soon to be clogged fuel filter is causing all of the codes, and not just poor fuel Quality.
🏁🏁Woah Alex variety is the spice of life …a Grand National …Mclaren …PPV …E55… DSM on the same channel…excellent content brother keep the videos coming 😎🤙🏾
I enjoyed seeing just how nervous you were when you first started driving lol, not a knock on you at all but simply that you could have kept that out. I started watching you for your honest love of cats and the way you interact with your viewers, and Peter, I enjoy your back and forth.
Hell yeah Alex!! If you were to buy any exotic...sure glad you picked a McLaren!! My favorite for sure! Can't wait to see all the fix/upgrade video's that you will put out!! Sweeeeet!!
Excellent stuff, I'm looking forward to a DIY maintenance approach to McLaren ownership. They're infamously not DIY-friendly, and you and Peter are the perfect team to figure these things out!
Love this car, I agree they are at a sweet spot now, would love to pick one up but there is not a person I've found within a few hours of me that will service it, so a non-starter for me. Wish I had your skills Alex. Love living vicariously through you right now. Thanks for the great content.
That's a badass ride! Love the different cars you buy and fix up! Keep the best car videos on TH-cam coming man, your content is always top notch and you give us some real deal information. 💪🏽💪🏽
Hey Alex, I have an idea for you in regards to the crankshaft damper that you were showing with the springs in it. This may seem stupid, but take some urethane and fill in the area where the springs are at and let it sit overnight so that I can cure properly and then after you’ve done that get clear the codes and take her for a drive and see if it comes back I don’t think it will.
What... wow, you stepped up to McClaren.. Well if anyone is gonna get down to the mystery of McClaren is you Alex. I'm gonna love watching you go through this one. There's only like you and a couple other TH-camrs that wrench on their own cars start to finish. Look forward to this!
Wow, what a car! You stole that thing! Congrats on the buy, nothing like the excitement of a new ride, especially one that cool! Not a big fan of the wrap though, any thoughts of removing it for the original color?
You should take a fuel octane test kit with you on your next trip to make sure you get the right stuff! Congrats on the McLaren purchase 🎉 Loved the video like usual.
Congrats Alex! This should be a neat project for the channel, don't worry about the people being pissy about an exotic we all know you will continue on the more regular LSC too.
Man what better way to show the car to Peter, the excitement out of him is always fun! Oh btw you might wanna blur out the MPH next time 😂 great vid! The car and price still is very budget friendly! Can’t wait for the fix her up vid!!
Noooooooooo ! Alex . You know better buddy. Headache on wheels 😮 Constantly waiting for the next moneylight to come on . As a big fan on LSC . I enjoy the more attainable vehicles so we can all learn stuff .
It wont be much worse than the CL65 to fix, I dont think... Its all relative. Then again, it will probably break faster than the CL65 when fixed but.... Eh, its gonna be a cool journey.
I don’t mind the different type of vehicles you are bringing on the channel. However I would like to see you finish some projects. Been waiting to see the cobra engine swap! Either way, keep doing what you do best Alex.

It'll be interesting to see the fix and modding progression on this car alongside the DSMs.
Well, after watching this video I can say I have no desire to own one. Best of luck to you with it, I am sure you will come out on top!!
Brilliant to see you doing well, Alex. Your sub numbers are great, but that car will take you to the next level Really well done!
Excited to see the next video , and see what you guys figure out !
Even though there was no codes or sign of performance loss, I'm suspecting a soon to be clogged fuel filter is causing all of the codes, and not just poor fuel Quality.
I was wondering what John did with the McCracken. This collab is always fun.
Congratulations Alex!!! You deserve it my friend 🫠
🏁🏁Woah Alex variety is the spice of life …a Grand National …Mclaren …PPV …E55… DSM on the same channel…excellent content brother keep the videos coming 😎🤙🏾
I love seeing my two favorite TH-cam channels in the same video. You guys rock!
Would be very cool to see to see LSC completely sort and mint this car back out; if it's even possible with all the codes haha. Awesome!
Sweeeeet!!
Congratulations on your purchase hope you get many pulls of enjoyment out of it! Love ALL your content!
Hell yeah Alex! This is super cool. You deserve this for sure. Really love the channel and appreciate the content.
You never fail to make people dream Alex. Thank you for always providing such top notch entertainment.
Dudes got a great Chicago vibe
This is why I love this channel. Never know what to expect. What other channel has a mclaren, grand national, lightning, etc. Keep it up!
Peter is a great dude. Just a happy camper that fella
Congratulations on the first super car! I’m excited to see where this goes.
Congratulations on your purchase of the McLaren.Must be an amazing feeling to own it.Very excited for you. Will look forward to your future videos.
I fucking love this channel its content everything. Alex, Peter and Max i just look forward to every video
Excellent stuff, I'm looking forward to a DIY maintenance approach to McLaren ownership. They're infamously not DIY-friendly, and you and Peter are the perfect team to figure these things out!
i would love one day to be able to buy a nice car and drive it home like 600+ miles with a buddy/friend. Looks like you guys had a good time!!
Love the variety of the vehicles on your channel. Keep it up!
As long as the LSC concept stays the same it doesn’t matter what you get. But nice pickup definitely looking forward to more videos.
I was sorry to see JR get rid of this car, hopefully you can get all the issues fixed. I have confidence in Alex and Peter.
Wow. Great job guys. You should do a legit cars spinoff- roadside assistance with John. Excellent pacing, informative....and the car's cool too👈
Hey Alex, I have an idea for you in regards to the crankshaft damper that you were showing with the springs in it. This may seem stupid, but take some urethane and fill in the area where the springs are at and let it sit overnight so that I can cure properly and then after you’ve done that get clear the codes and take her for a drive and see if it comes back I don’t think it will.
Great purchase! Looking forward to see you guys get this to immaculate shape :D
audi as a similar audio/media problem on the early 2008-2011 were only androids can play audio and iphone's you stuck to use a fm transmitter or etc
Finally a truly "LSC"!! Wow!! Well deserved man. Your skills will be needed with this one buddy!
Awesome that you start the video right at KCI, about 7 min from my house!
BP seems to be the only gas station in the KC area with 92/93 octane.
What... wow, you stepped up to McClaren.. Well if anyone is gonna get down to the mystery of McClaren is you Alex. I'm gonna love watching you go through this one. There's only like you and a couple other TH-camrs that wrench on their own cars start to finish. Look forward to this!
Please never ever change the essence of the channel. You are the best!
I love that you checked for cupholders first 😂
Wow, what a car! You stole that thing! Congrats on the buy, nothing like the excitement of a new ride, especially one that cool! Not a big fan of the wrap though, any thoughts of removing it for the original color?
You should take a fuel octane test kit with you on your next trip to make sure you get the right stuff!
Congrats on the McLaren purchase 🎉
Loved the video like usual.
Alex and Peter are great. Love seeing TH-cam car guys collaborate
Headache on wheels 😮
Constantly waiting for the next moneylight to come on . As a big fan on
LSC . I enjoy the more attainable vehicles so we can all learn stuff .
It wont be much worse than the CL65 to fix, I dont think... Its all relative. Then again, it will probably break faster than the CL65 when fixed but.... Eh, its gonna be a cool journey.
@@GoldenCroc , lol so true. Sadly. Don’t get me wrong excited for them .
But the fun really wares off after they crap out .
Nice car and love the color you definitely worked hard for it enjoy yourself looking forward to more videos and hopefully it treats you well
I don’t mind the different type of vehicles you are bringing on the channel. However I would like to see you finish some projects. Been waiting to see the cobra engine swap! Either way, keep doing what you do best Alex.
I agree, hard to keep up with all he is working on as the videos are so sporadic with what is being worked on, there is no consistency or continuity.
Don’t let any of the comments discourage you from doing what you want on your channel. I watch for you and all your content. Love that you picked this up and looking forward to seeing it in the series.
Always produces excellent videos everytime. Great work, guys
Look at BIG TIME LSC! Getting into the Supercars...
Congrats Alex! I don't care what you buy, as long as it's broken :)
Meanwhile, someone was yanking hard on that steering wheel for it to look like that! 64,000 track miles? :P
