    Do I need a transmission cooler? Those who tow, carry any sort of load or go offroad should definitely run a dedicated transmission cooler. As the largest 4WD auto transmission specialist in the southern hemisphere we know experientially that heat causes wear, reduces performance and causes costly breakdowns.
    At Wholesale Automatics we have model specific DIY transmission oil cooler kits to suit your needs.

    I just installed mine yesterday 20 2019 ranger with65K on clock, what a massive difference, i have already fitted the bypass valve few years back, and my trans ran from 94-97 degrees, yesterday the ambient temp was 19 degrees, and now the trans oil only got to 55 degrees after driving for 30 minutes, i suspect in summer it would probable go 20-25 degrees hotter which would put it at 75-80 degrees is my guess, never the less very happy with the result, :)

    Love the product but does it effect the radiator efficiency since you are blocking most of the radiator?

      No not at all and thoroughly tested multiple times, towing, not towing, mountain ranges add different ambient temps. In some case the engine temp dropped as it was no longer dealing with the trans heat exchange any more.

    Question I have a 2014, 3.2 Ranger PX1 is the thermal inside the transmission or is accessible externally. Thanks loved your install video.

      The Thermal valve is in the transmission above the valve body. You need to remove the valve body to get to it.

    Can you fill up the coolers before conectig them to the gearbox?

    • @WholesaleAutomatics
      @WholesaleAutomatics  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No you don't need to as it's a pressurised system that will self fill and push all the air out of the system.

    That's a great explanation video for swapping out the hot water heat exchanger, ( bad design personally) for an air cooled radiator oil flow system. But what pumps the ATF around and through the rad/ pipe circuit? Is there a pump fitted inside the Trans box? I'd😅 love to purchase this upgrade, plus the
    aluminium pan with drain plug. Unfortunately I'm stuck out in Cambodia, I've inquired but there's no stock here. Mmm

      No not at all, cooler is installed from underneath and is positioned behind the intercooler.

    bit of a long shot asking on here but have you seen any bt50s or ford rangers with the 3.2L autos revs bouncing on the tacometer, im unsure if its a transmission issue or engine issue, the
    oil is black so im about to install one of your service kits

      Take it in to a local transmission shop and they will soon point you in the right direction.
