I love your video! I just got a great deal on a Tory Burch bag with exposed piping. I'm gonna try all the products and it looks just like your bag so I can't wait to try this!
Thanks for sharing this video. I use to buy Louis Vuitton bags in my 20s and 30s. I have a 20 year old Speedy 40 that the piping is coming out and the zipper pull is broken. Because my bag has patina the cost that Louis Vuitton gave me to fix the piping and replace the vachetta for everything to match was more than l paid for the bag 🤣😂. I will try this at least to repair the piping. I can paint the leather if l need to give it a custom look.
@mcf9476 that’s a good question! If you see the samples on Angelus or fiebings for paint colors/dyes you can usually find a close match. Sometimes you have to mix a little. There’s also this chart on Amazon that will tell you what colors mixed together make what colors. It’s called “Magic Palette Color Mixing Guide” and that’s super helpful.
Thank you for the comment! The bag has held up perfectly! No, the paint does not wear off or chip. It’s sealed pretty well with the edge kote which helps!! Acrylic paint doesn’t typically chip off because it bends and moves with whatever surface is on it. That’s why it’s so awesome!
Hi! Is the bag shredded? If you want to send me a photo i can look but if it’s shredded you might want to use the Fiebing leathercraft glue to glue the parts together then once dry go over with the edge coat.
If you look in my description I put all the items I used. Just search into Google and they’ll come up! I either had them or purchased them on Amazon or Michaels. Let me know if you can’t find an item and I can help you 🙂
@croswellianprincess3590 sorry! It’s hard because the piping is quite small. If you’d like more info or a different view kindly let me know and I’ll try my best ❤️

Yes! Definitely give it a try!
Great video! Where could I buy those pointy wooden sticks?
Thank you!! Ok, so they are just skewer dowels you can get at most grocery stores!
I have a brown purse I want to do this for. Any recommendations on how to find the right color match without buying a ton of different acrylic paints?

Hi, just wondering how the bag has held up? does the piping paint wear off?

Hi. How would you finish it on a shred bag? Thank you!

Do you have any recommendations on paint for Louis Vuitton leather?
Yes! Angelus has great ones specifically for the “vachetta” and it is called vachetta. Is this the leather you are referring to?

Where do I buy the supplies?

Hands are in the way.
