I actually love how it turned out. But them I love the weathered look. I have loved all your bring back videos. You do an amazing job. Can’t wait to see your next bring back. Have a great week💐
I recently found your channel. I love your videos. You have inspired me to want to have a new hobby. I am binge watching your videos and have a new found love for pre loved bags. I haven’t pulled the gun yet and purchased my first bag or supplies yet. Thanks for sharing and I think this bag is a testament to your excellent craftsmanship 💜.
I just found this channel too. Over the past two years I have purchased nothing but preloved handbags and restored them. What a feeling to be able to afford luxury bags at a fraction of the cost and restore them. I love 💕 it!
I want to do the same now as I work for a charity and have some vintage leather bags and purses in a sorry state I think I can improve and being inspired by this channel. Thank you Lyssa x
I love this bag, especially all the inside pockets. What did you have to do to remove the sticky feeling? I thought it turned out lovely. Had no idea that bags could be immersed in water like that, especially with a cloth lining. Thanks for showing how to rehab a bag - truth be told, I also liked it before the restoration...it's all those pockets!
I think it looks pretty good the little faded weird patch on the back I don't like, otherwise the weathered look works.... a bit of a shame ....but it's certainly interesting watching your channel. I restore Bags as well, and I probably would've done a very light coating of leather dye on that and then used the restorative cream but I'm definitely going to look up that product you used and watch the rest of your wonderful Vids for more hints thank you :)
I love watching your videos. I have bought many second hand leather bags from charity shops that need alot of TLC. Thank you for sharing. You really made this bag so much nicer again. 💕👏
This is so mind blowing to me 😆🤯 I’m just getting into purse rehabbing, and I was SURE this beat up bag was ready for the trash 😝😝 You’re like a PURSE BAG FAIRY 🧚🏼♀️
Is it possible to apply a leather conditioner (neutral color) first, after the bath, and then the pigmented cream? Maybe then the leather is more receptive to the pigment?
I would suggest before starting on the bag, going over it really well with alcohol to remove any sealant or treatment left on the bag, it may take it better but I think you did a great job and it looked beautiful!
I love watching the process of you bringing them back to life, it’s amazing! If it didn’t turn out how you were hoping, it’s probably the type or quality of leather that didn’t lend itself to absorbing the conditioner like a thicker grain probably would have. It looks great compared to how it started!
Hola, quedó hermosa! el color yo le llamaría marrón, el estilo de la bolsa es de mis favoritos. Me encanta ver como las transformas, como nuevas. Soy fan de las bolsas.
Thank you so much for video 😊 i really like all of them. You are wonderful because you give the second life these beautiful bags) Now i want to go to second hand and find something, then try to do as you) you are inspired me for this ❤🥰
Great job! Do you think if using a color less conditioner (like Honey Leather) would help? How about color transfer using Saphir? Is it an issue? I’ve used that on a bag and had the same issue of non-absorption.
That’s a great idea! The absorption issue with this particular bag is because of the grade of leather- this one is genuine leather. I’ve not had color transfer on grain leather.
I would suggest you use Anglus Leather Preparer and Deglazer before dying it and use Anglus leather dye to recolor... that will make the color really come out.
I wonder if you can work on my leather backpack...i love it but getting too old and lost too much moisture....if possible, i want it to be refreshed. Its over 30 yrs old.
Beautiful job on this. But I'm really confused by your "genuine leather sucks" comment- are you saying you prefer synthetics? They cannot be restored, once they've been used a lot, the finish begins to peel and the fabric underneath is exposed, they're garbage. You've proved that genuine leather- like precious metals as opposed to costume jewelry- can almost always be made beautiful again, so your statement has me scratching my head.
So I recently saw another video where the person explains the grades of leather. Apparently when the term “genuine leather” is used, it is the lowest grade leather(cheapest and least quality).

Glad you like them! Definitely more to come.

Thank you so much! :)
@@LyssaMakesNewThe color you have applied on the bag is permanent color, will it not come off?
Omgosh you have the best videos ever!
I reckon it looks amazing, well done once again! I’ve said it before…love these videos, TFS x

@@LyssaMakesNew I never knew genuine leather was the lowest quality leather until this comment made me research it! Agh!
@@__________vee__________ Same! You learn something new every day.
@@LyssaMakesNew I wonder if it would work similar to hair and skin where heated humidity would open the pores and allow easy absorption?
@@__________vee__________ Same here. I thought genuine leather was good since it's, well, "genuine." I guess not.
Looks amazing, clean and beautiful
Could you please do a video how to tell if it’s real or fake leather

Fabulous result
Do you wind up selling these after the repairs/restoration?
My kind of bag, love it.
what a nice bag!
Very nice restore
Looks great!
This is a great job! 👍
Why did you not put the saphir Cordova on it?
I wonder if you took a close-up of the emblem sewn on the front of the bag, if Google Lens would recognize it.
Great idea! I’ll try that out
Good work 👏
Love the caramel color of the bag- looks great! what kind of conditioner do you use?
I use leather creams by Saphir. You can find them on Amazon if you search "Saphir Medaille d’Or Pommadier". They have 17 colors to choose from!
That's a beautiful bag
Hermoso bolso bien recuperado. Argentina
Que pintura es esa, y como se llama...
I wonder if you can work on my leather backpack...i love it but getting too old and lost too much moisture....if possible, i want it to be refreshed. Its over 30 yrs old.
Very nice job.
Awesome!!!
For the conditioner, it’s definitely depositing color… is this color permanent? Or have you noticed it fades as the leather dries out again?
Yes, It’s supposed to deposit color. It is permanent…it’s like a dye.
I liked how it came out. Perhaps a darker brown would have covered better.
A clue to the quality of the bag is the number of pieces of leather. The less the better
Definitely needed paint 😮
Top grain is the best leather. The layer below is still leather but not the best.

Right now I'm wearing soaking wet leather boots that I'm trying to form to my feet! 😂
