NYC seems so cool for rollerblading. The state of the roads seems rather good, much better than in Paris. NYC really makes me want. Thanks a lot for sharing 🤩😍😃👍
@@thestutteringskater hey, the least I can do! Do you have any recommendations what to look out for regarding starter shoes? I really want to get into it. I'm a mediocore good ice skater and longboarder if that's of any help haha :D If it does, I might not necessarily need to start with full noob ones if that makes any sense.. cheers!
@@mroqido9987 I would aim for something rigid, a hard boot. Something with 4 wheels. Decathlon's MF500 is what I started with. Some more examples: Flying Eagle F1S, FR FRX, Powerslide Zoom 80, Rollerblade RB Cruiser. Watch out for the frame mounting compatibility. 165mm mounting is most common and I would recommend it, but Powerslide has it's own system which is a little bit more rigid but only compatible with specific frames. Don't go for the soft shell cheap amazon skates, they are garbage and will ruin the experience. If you can try the skates on before buying them that's ideal, because most important is not how expensive the boot is or what hardness the wheels etc, but how well it fits your feet. Most experienced skaters would rather ride a cheap skate that fits well than a more expensive one that fits too loose or too tight or has painfull pressure points.
shit is so cinematic. just picked up a used pair to dip my toes back in after over two decades lol seems like such a better way to stay in shape than just boring running. gonna learn the fundamentals that i lacked back then, first. should be having lots of fun by this time next year
Thank You, For this rolling past my old college N.Y.U. and we would eat lunch at the park. Washington Square Park!! Ahh, so many good and funny times at this park.
I want to hear a review from you for the best entry level blades for someone who has NEVER bladed. Something thats good enough that I won’t be held back from enjoying it, but affordable enough that If I don’t like it, I could resell them.
What skates do you use? I used to blade a bunch when i was a kid and then got into skateboarding now wanna get some blades again at 28. I'm also an insta360 ambassador btw.
Heyy! Thanks for the support, these skates are the powerslide NEXT with the endless 90 LR frame. Id suggest getting a stock urban setup first and then investing further after you are fully comfortable with that boot.
@@thestutteringskater got any specific recommendations? i'm not a beginner or anything so i'm fine with a decent sized wheel or at least frames that i can upgrade to larger wheels later on.
@@DingDongDrift For a narrow to normal width foot, the Powerslide NEXT will be solid. I'd suggest starting with a stock 80 or 90 mm setup. For a Normal to wide foot, FR2 or the RB Pro X will be your best bet. FR2 will be a bit more premium.
@@meself349 in some places sure, but parking most places in the city is expensive and leaving your car on the street overnight can be a very bad idea. For a parking spot in a covered lot you're looking at more than $500 a month. Add to that all the parking fees you pay when you actually take the car somewhere and it gets quite costly.
I don’t roller blade but I feel a “kick out” where the front foot is balancing on the rear wheel while the back foot is balancing on the toe wheel would look steezy
Thank you so much for the kind words. I ride a Powerlside Next with a Intuition V2 liner and the Endless 90 LR frame. May switch it up soon though, stay tuned!
So, with wizard frame are we allowed to do slalom, jumps and everything and also use the 4 wheels for speed?? The front and back wheel wont be floating like the slalom frames, loosing speed since i have contact with only 2 wheels???
Hi. Unbelivable. I'm starting in the roller skates. My wife catch me watching this video, and she said, when you skate like these guys, i cut my neck off. Well, i' m training for that. So one advice from you. How many years did you skate to achive that perfomance?
10:43 full force onto the hip, no helmet, no wristguards. this is not about being a "warrior", its about being responsible with one's life. this could have ended badly and probably is even worse than it looks in terms of aftermath and longterm hip damage
I could watch you skate all day. Please post more when you have time! 🥰
Thank you! Thats the plan, just trying to figure out this whole editing thing
skating through NYC is what keeps me alive, from brooklyn to harlem to the WTC then back to brooklyn, I will keep doing it until I die.

*chefs kiss* excellent route you chose, that zone looks beautiful. See ya around, I’ll be rolling green Flying Eagle F6S
Thank you! Deff one of my fav routes in the city
my palms were slightly sweaty watching that. Great skills!
Thank you Edward!
It's pure pleasure to watch you skating through the streets of NYC although I'm a bit scared when I see you going through red lights 💀💀💀
this makes me want to buy a big wheel set up and go to NYC. I've only used max 4x80, but this looks sick.
No feeling quite like skating through heavy traffic in an inner city. So surreal and freeing
Ive only just come across this channel . Skating threw nyc 🔥🔥
It's amazing how well yall can skate. while im over here in a cast from skating
I’d like to see how the heck you get up that one crazy hill in CP on the west side. I personally always end up walking my bike on it 😂

Mf 500 are good, affordable and from the reviews I've seen of them, sturdy and reliable
Powerslide zoom micro mt
Fast pace! Need more please. Didn’t know you could do that on inline skates.
There's plenty of inliners doing 50mph out there

Nyc streets look so smooth compared to streets in Toronto ! Our streets are in horrible condition
Skating and biking in nyc seems to be significantly more efficient than driving
A lot more cost efficient too. A parking space in NYC can run you as much as rent costs in other places lol.

Wow great skill!
How fast are you going. What's your skate setup?
I'll have to check strava for the answer. My skate setup is the Powerslide next with the endless 90 LR frame, crazy about that frame!

Also looks like he landed on his right elbow. One such crash with a bike forced me to write with my left hand for half a year...
What speed you guys go at it looks like you go 40kmph minimum
I think our top speed here was about 50 kph or so, we coast at a nice pace. It's a blast
Do speed skaters "rocker" their wheels to increase maneuverability?
You should list the soundtracks you used in the description.
Are those 90mm or 100mm wheels ?
These are 90's, i feel that I'm quicker on 90's than on 100's
Bro which brand of skate do you recommend?
Hi, I've already post a comment and just want to known what is the place at the beginning (at about 50 sec) ?
Thanks in advance.
Great video! could you go like this with that flow and control with 3 wheels?
Do any of the speed skaters have their own channels?
amazing place!!!
What's your average speed 18mph???
Which is more scary to skate around the vehicles or the other pedestrians?
Both, as with both you have to be completely alert
You gotta stop pushing your buddies, dude 😂😂😂
wow! awesome!
More 🤪
More is coming, I promise! Stick around ;)
Small wheels not build for speeding
But yet, we are making it work. 90 mm is my fav size wheel setup
Waht Rollerbleding 90 mm ??? Fast
Is that even legal ?
Do you have MOT (car) and medical insurance ??
this guy has some strides
🔥
Anybody know the name of the song at 5:50 ? Thanks.
✌
Why do they do the hands behind the back thing ALL the time? It's not that serious, bros.
Can I come next time?
It would be great to know your speed through your videos... Don't you have anything to measure it? I think people would like to know it
10:49 Safety rating for a helmet when falling on skates 0/10 but at least you wouldn't have worn a hat
