one of your best! love it!
And here I was, thinking cutting through traffic on a bike looked sketchy...
you guys have a deathwish... Also, hi from the tom scott newsletter :)
Terry always busts out jazz for the wildest lines
It reninds me of Cowboy Bebop, with the fight, chase and battle scenes being set to Jazz. *It just works.*
Highlighting the similarities in art form between NYC Freeform Jazz and High Quality Traffic Play… Living in the MOMENT BABY!
overtaking trucks and going over 30mph on skates is absolutely nutty
He had to have gone 40 at some point
He had to at least be at 40 on the big speed up he did.😮
Can't let tucks dictate the pace. It isn't their road.
Maybe out of control but it looks like incredible fun.
I love how it starts out with the stuttering skater and then there is a surprise twist 🙃 pretty cool transition 😎
And that first one was already a great rider, mind you!
we need another camera man following terry!!
Jazz is the perfect soundtrack. Weaving around traffic you don't know where you're going but you know you'll always end up in the right spot.
You've outdone yourself yet again Mr. B. Idk how this man manages to move like this with nuts of osmium, the speed of a motorscooter and the grace of a ballerina, but my eyes are *GLUED.*
Everytime it cuts, its like he's respawned after a crash
😁
Solid pairing the live jazz sesh with this. Absolute icing on this cake.
Your videos have inspired me over the years to get on a bike and get miles in; I love that you sometimes highlight other stuff too and I hope that gets others out-and-about. Great video, T-Bone!
your videos have inspired me to stay in my lane. the filming is not half the skill as following someone is twice as hard as oportunity for gaps often narrows. maybe your videos are educational and have taught me to guess how traffic flows and prevented me from crashing into cars ineficiently with my frail bike
people watching this guy bomb past and wondering when e-blades came out
My favourite TH-cam comment of the week 😂
25 mph never looked so fast
Used to the thread the needle like that at the ice rink, skating like that on open roads is batshit, respect.
Love the tele on the screen. I'd be dead after a single block. Because I got hit by a truck while collapsed and wheezing in the street.
The thought of driving down the road only to be casually passed by a guy on skates with no elbow or knee pads is wild.
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more rollerblading on this channel.
As an inline speed skater, I do approve this video.
I put a garbage disposal in my shower
Better than waffle stomping!
*EFFICIENCY.*
You need to see those street borders on the long boards traveling at 70+ mph. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The camera guy following this speed skater has to be as good as he is.
@@Lawliet734 The cameraman is in bike, so he can "easily" follow the skater.
@@arcaelum2022 Nah Terry B is the goat here, props to the skater for his incredible speed but managing to follow him on those tight ahh spaces with the riser bar and all that is sick
Who the hell is that guy? I wonder....
Hah, and here I was thinking it was a drone!
@@arcaelum2022 if so, some of those weaves the camera person makes are insane on bicycle.
as a former speed skater, i admire this double push technique with high efficiency.
I thank you for this marvellous cut without any need for emrgency breaking apart from few cosmetic T touches sharpening wheels and 5:45
This is how i remember what Skitchin' looked like on Sega many years ago.
I was thinking about that yesterday, somehow California Games was about 12px X 12px on a CRT screen but clearer than 4k in my mind.
Wtf. How is he holding 190BPM for that long. Please don’t get this guy into bike racing
Holy crap Joey takes it to another level 😳
Rollerskate, now available for PS3 and PC .
Wow thats what is all about 2 skilled lads working thier magic . Love the Jazz also Terry
Now that's what I'm talking about! Skating the streets to some swingin' jazz. If I ever get my hands on a good cam that's all I would do.
Didn’t anticipate this collab but it makes so much sense
So many green lights
God damn that's was intense - I think I broke my own record holding my breath for this time across NYC.
Bruh!! This is so many different levels of insane 😂
190bpm? What is he, a hummingbird?
IKR? How he can sustain that is nuts.
I think he's an Olympic speed skater?
I cant even get to 160 when im going full out and he is at 190 for a long time
In 66 years I've never 'made' every light.
I'm trying to imagine the kind of watts you need to skate 27mph.
It would depend a lot on the slope
Pure FlowState. NY to the bone Terry. Almost felt like watching GTA! First time I have seen the speedometer, I really like that…
Can’t believe I didn’t hear that Dudes Brass Balls clinking together at any point!
Well done Gents.
Heartattacks from other road users: Approx. 13
I didn't know there were Asian-style rickshaws in NYC, that's so cool
This dude on some rocket power type stuff
hotline on roller skates?! ok, i like it
Is this Joey Mantia on rollerskates ? He was in NYC not long ago... I sent him a message about your YT channel, Terry B.
Confirmed in the video description.
@@d3vastat0r89 Ah true, thx ! (I should've checked) Well Joey posted a video in which he skates in Montréal streets, overtaking speedbikers at more than 43 kmph just effortless (I am very happy when I reach 38 kmph at the cost of superhuman effort)
love the mph. in many videos was wondering how fast they were going.
3:39 Nice hop.
Thanks Tom Scott
This was absolutely fucking mental
So great, love the “wtf” from the street skater then he’s gone!
Absolutely nuts
How crazy would it be if Monstr Track was won by someone on skates
Always a blast to watch these guys skate, insane speed by Mantia.
no idea you could go that fast on skates. amazing you could make those tight turns on bike.
Didn't know 54km/h on roller blades was possible until today.
6 million longhorn thumbs 👍 Terry B
Beautiful. Like watching dancer. Thank you for top notch art.
So good babeee baaaby 🤙 MORE !
A very fine video. Well done. Thank you.
This is amazing and also terrifying. I'd at least want to be wearing a neon vest, I think?
Terry B finally has a challenge 😁
We love Ari!
Tom Scott says your gear is cheap lol
The phrase was "relatively cheap" - i.e. can be afforded by mere mortals; not just film studios!
@@EthicsGradient I know, I was just amused. It's not just something you can jump into without skill
That’s the point. Maximizing the output of prosumer gear. Now go make some videos.
nothing like a bored world champion/olympian trying to integrate into normal life :D:PPPPP😂😂😂😂😂😂
2:38 was spicy
watch out for bears in there
mad respect
that fella seems good, he could have a great career as a speed skater
Madness. Pure madness.I love it !
Now come back for livestreams, Terry, will ya? :)
Wwillllllddddd!!! Holy sh*t that is rad.
Oh wow... those overlays ...so good... the sheer power and speed of those athletes .. thxs @TerryB
Literally THE best
@TerryB what is the current video setup? The footage is hypnotizing, it makes my muscles tense, itching for a city ride 😅
Totally irresponsible. It just takes one car to pull out or pedestrian/to walk into the street.
Great video Terry, I used to roller skate on mid 90's and was pretty decent.
I love this guy, mad skills
so insane it actually looks cgi.
55 / 5 000
I envy you such fast and easy roads to skate/ride on.
Greetings from a freeskater from Poland. My dream is to come to NY for a month of vacation like that.
When even rollerblades are faster than cars...........
How in the F did that cop not bust you for running that red light at 0:35?
Welcome to New York
Ari got smoked & he is good BUT the camera guy takes the win
Is rollerblading the new hotness??
It's like a video game, well done
It's impressive what humans can do when they put their mind to something.
This probably isn't the coolest thing about this guy I love it
Tremendous skill and balance. How he goes from 30mph to 10mph when he needs on skates I don't know.
Siiick that looks exhausting
Amazing. Great to see you continue to enjoy skating after retirement. Would love to join you on something crazy like that
Love the speed with this guy, but Ari has way more style.
Yooo that man is moving on them skates
Handle skitching at 2:47. Some tight squeezes in here.
Who was that Flash of a man, Barry Allen?
Damn 30 mph on roller skates?!
Crazy. He almost lost you hes so quick. I saw the heart rate was up there 190 for a while
Holy shit Terry that must have been a hard line to follow. Good thing he was going easy on you
I would like to watch more of this
keep the jazz🔥
That fast in skates is crazy
if woody allen made his movies on skates (at least the soundtrack)
This is insane!
yeah man! take the a train at 190 bpm herat rate. so cool...!
This is positively sicko behavior!! what a blast! Some of the lines look so hard to follow on the cam bike
This guy makes brakeless riding look like child splay
