This is an excellent machine. I owned it before I downsized. never had a problem with it works beautifully.

Then why are there so many complaints about it?

    • @petermaz701

@@erossinema8797 because when they first came out in 2018, the wash times were much shorter and because this is a different wash action some of the clothes did not come out clean after that initial introduction of this machine they reprogrammed it with longer wash times thus providing better wash performance.

@@petermaz701I purchased mine yesterday 07/29/23 so that means that there are chances that it was reprogrammed to longer cycles?

Where did you get the colored coded manual? I have this washer at home and I really like this washer. It is durable and, luckily, no problems in the 4 years I've had it.

I just bought the tr7 today
When it finishes the wash the lid unlocks
Then if you don’t open it quickly it locks again and you can’t open it unless you start another load
    This must be defective right?

I got the TR3 about 2 years ago. It has never got out of balance like the damn Whirlpool I had did. Should I not be using Eco on it too? I don't care for all the electronics on this machine

You are not getting a full deep rinse when you use the normal eco-cycle I would use the heavy duty instead same wash action, except it fills up for the rinse.

Why is there a bleach compartment ….the installer recommended not to use it as in may cause rust and void the warranty.
Don’t put one there if you don’t recommend it.
    Doesn’t make sense.

So what happens when you use the bleach compartment ….. why wouldn’t you, I wonder🤔

I don't think it would void your warranty if you use it as intended 😅

Hi Chip, I have a question. The wife was sold on the TR7/DR7 combo. One question though. She loads the dryer properly, picks the cycle for the cloths, but the dryer won't run long enough to completely dry the cloths. The dryer is heating properly, and she (or me) can't figure out what we're doing wrong. Any tips? Thank you for your help.

Can you change the cycle after it starts ?

I have the same exact model and I think it's a much decent washer.

Issue with the same model washer where it will not spin or drain. I can follow the exact steps as in your video up until 6:32 time mark when you put on spin cycle my unit does not spin. What would be wrong with it.

HELLO, I AM IN THE PROCESS TO BUY TR7 Huebsch washer but I am a little scared for one thing, here in Quebec we often have electricity failure for very long period of time and I am worried that if my washer is on (as we never know when the electricity can go away and for how long) does the lid open easily when there is no electricity and the machine is doing a cycle and stopped because of no electricity or the lid remains locked and there is no way to open it up...this scares me a little because I do not want to lose my clothes. Can you please answer me as I have to finalize the sale by Wednesday or Thursday this week....thank you very much for your help God bless you! Lucy

Speed Queen would be able to answer your questions regarding the engineering of the machine

Best tip would be to tell her to sell it back and grab a tC5. Quite does not mean efficient. It uses the same amount of water and more electricity (nearly double wash cycle times.) It is simply quiet because it lacks a transmission (bad.) It is quite because it DOES NOT CLEAN well. This is not my opinion. Everyone knows this. It's the only machine consumer report failed- for poor washing performance. The panel, being fully electronic is not as reliable as the TC5 either. On the tC5, you can open the lid anytime without any tap dancing. It never locks. It is the far better machine. I will give the tR7 a win in the quiet department- but that is where it ends.

I agree with you on all the electronics. I don't need that crap. Just give me simple knobs. One thing I didn't like was when you open the lid the water stops flowing and I use the water to rinse out my cups. I put a clothespin on the switch on the back and the water will keep flowing on mine with the lid open. The lid will still have to be closed before the cycle will start. I can deal with the lid lock as long as it don't get out of balance. But I pour my soap and softener in and I need the water flowing to rinse my cups out. My Whirlpool would get out of balance and it was so damn annoying to pause it to rebalance the load and the cycle would have to start all over again. That is never a problem with my TR3. I went back to the appliance store a couple of months ago and got the matching dryer. I really like the way Speed Queen is made.

@@WhittyPics You have a metal outer tub which is high quality and an excellent suspension system which differentiates you from a junkie Maytag with Spring suspension and plastic lightweight tub that goes out of balance all the time. I just let water flow in for about 10 seconds add my soap to that water let it run another 10 seconds then add the clothes works every time very simple haven't used the closed pin trick yet but I Might

@@WhittyPics as for the electronics they are really the same. Yours just has knobs instead of buttons. It may have less wash modes, but it’s all controlled by electronic boards.

    • @petermaz701
      @petermaz701 ปีที่แล้ว +5

As far as electronics they are exactly the same electronics the TC 5 is not a mechanical machine except that it has a transmission (mechanical) everything else is electronic.

The new TR 7 has longer wash times and stronger wash action. I own both machines and I find the TR 7 better in most areas. It’s more versatile more modern and has many more control options.
