Recently, the 'Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023' was passed by the Parliament. The Bill aims to provide protection to personal data and privacy of the individual. The Bill will apply to digital personal data processing within India. Where the data will be collected online or offline. Recently the 'Registration of Press and Journals Bill, 2023' was passed by Rajya Sabha. The Bill repeals the 'Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867'. Along with that, Recently, the government has directed all the pharmaceutical companies in the country to implement the revised 'Good Manufacturing Practices' i.e., 'GMP'. The purpose of issuing it is to bring the companies at par with the global standards.
‘In Other’ section, recently a report has been published by Lancet. The report suggests that improved nutrition and early weight gain can reduce TB incidence and mortality. These claims are based on a study conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research in collaboration with the National TB Elimination Program and the National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, Chennai. According to media reports, India's greenhouse emission rate has registered a decline of 33%. According to this, the average rate of reduction in India's emissions has been recorded at 3% annually in the period from 2016 to 2019.
