Thanks Chris! I love your methodology.
    ## Use when people change their body language.
    1. It looks like something just crossed your mind.
    2. It seems like you're uncomfortable with me.
    3. It seems like you're hesitant.
    4. It seems like you have a reason for saying that.
It seems like you have a reason for saying that?
    5. It seems like you have a reason for...ACTION
It seems like you have a reason for...doing that?
It seems like you have a reason for not finishing the work.
    > Mislabels are fine. The other party will feel compelled to correct you.
    ## Final - Last ditch effort.
    6. It sounds like there's nothing I can say to get you to change your mind.
It sounds like there's nothing I can say to get you to change your mind?
    ## When people call you or approach you to ask with "how are you today." Use this to cut to the chase.
    7. It sounds like you have a place you want to start.
    ## When the other party objects that the price is too high.
    8. It seems like the value's just not there for you.
It seems like the value's just not there for you?
    ## Proof of life issue label. It's okay if this is a mislabel. Mislabels are great tools to uncover the truth.
    9. It doesn't seem like you're ready to make a commitment.
It doesn't seem that you're ready to make a commitment to us.
    > More than 20% of what you feel are opportunities are fake opportunities. Use proof of life labels in the first 30 minutes of the conversation if you're getting a sense that the deal won't push through.
    10. It seems like you're still shopping around.
It seems like you're still shopping around?

Here's a label that definitely doesn't work... The backstory is I had an employer that was psychotic, yelling at me, and accusing me of lying when I was simply relating accurate but contradictory facts about what someone else had said. After 5 mintues of trying to get them to understand I was honestly recounting the contradictory statements and the conversation was going nowhere because in their mind if the statements were contradictory then I was lying, I realized I had to change strategies. As the awesome Black Swan that I am, I remembered the appropriate order of negotiation was Label, Mirror, Question. So I prepared my first label, with all the tactical empathy I could muster: "It seems like something is wrong with your brain." BOOM. Fastest negotiation I was ever apart of. Was walking out the door 10 seconds later with no job. But really I wasn't disappointed. I hated that job, my hateful bosses, and coworkers, and I was smiling on the way out. So I guess it did work afterall XD

I love that but, if you didn't want to terminate that relationship, you could have tried "It seems like this is about more than (whatever he was ranting about)." I've found that when people fly off the hook like that it's not just about one thing. It may not even be about the thing in question, at all. I'm not claiming that I'm any better at dealing with hotheaded jerks but, from the calm of my living room, I can see that another tactic was available to you.

tried a couple of tips from the audio book in an email "it seems like you had some important issue that you wanted to address, i feel you had important suggestion that would add vaule" the zoom meeting was cut short, " how would you like to address these issues ?" blown away it actauly worked -conflict resolved ---- it also helped me by not rushing in and using emotions in replying to emails and start to think and understand the clients view so that i can use these techniques. I found something on you tube that actualy works, i now keep trying to find situations where i can use some of these tips. Im now telling everyone about this stuff.. im just blown away. thinking of signing upto a course which is rare for me im such a tight arse.

Is there a difference between "it doesn't seem like you are ready to make a deal with us" and "it seems like you are not ready to make a deal with us"? does the change from "doesn't seem" to "seems like…not" have a different effect?

Finish the work? This is supposedly the most anchored part of the deal. We can summarize this frame as fair to deal with. The way to do this is by finding a way to get this transaction go through. The deal is to be reinforced with resonance. This can be diffused if a negative comes up. Today would be good and now would be better. That's the way to regard this with the best tactics. It's gonna be a way to get this done so that the label is with having the correct conditions for. That's how this is done. It's gonna take some time to know what amount you think about. That's how to see this difference. We can continue to negotiate this, Chris.
