The worst place to work is where Board of Directors are corrupt,Senior Finance Officer is corrupt and Junior Accountants are not corrupt...They will just give you orders and you will have to implement them even if they are against accounting or school policies.....worst,during auditing, they will not be there to answer questions.....Sad indeed....

Actually, I was wondering how a big thing like MARA HEIST could just disappear in the the thin air. Three months later and investigations are still on. I liken the investigation process in Kenya to a kitchen where an already cooked food takes so much time to prepare and serve while hungry people sit and wait.

Its stinking to the high heaven, i wish i was never born in this country, and the persons to be blamed is nobody else but us, the citizen, if only during election time we vote for true wazalendo, and put in place policies, name and shame each and every individual and put their huge pictures everywhere and also pronounce loudly there names, and also give those who steal puplic money the most severe sentences, and the beginning should be massive civic education from primary school all the way, until then we will be having hyenas and wild dogs as peoples in kenya. Am just saying it

The way this country is structured is just sickening. Being honest in this country in itself is viewed as a crime. Corruption is so deeply rooted in the system that you will lose your job for doing the right thing. It's like there is no place for a honest man in the Kenyan society. We raise our kids teaching them to work hard and trust the system and the system ends up showing the middle finger to their face.

Politics of tribalism and mtu-wetu mentality have enabled a lack of accountability in this country. So, its just not the government that is the problem, the people have also encouraged it. Thats why Nyanza, my community, need to start championing for autonomous governance to protect our values of honesty and integrity that we have maintained for centuries. Its clear people from tribes that are influential in this country's politics and governance have entrenched their values in government, hence lack of accountability.
