Great video! I remember trying a tucked planche for the first time. I thought I was going to die. (6.4", 210lbs) Lately I'm getting better at it. I can hold a proper one for 10 sec now. It's a great exercise to show people. Especially if they aren't familiar with it, people tend to not be very impressed by it. Then you ask them to give it a try themselves. 9 out of 10 times you will see a person humbled.
your first tuck planche in june 2017 looks impressive already as your hips are almost at a level with your shoulders sir. i still use a resistance band to get it up that high😣still working on my shoulder strength doing pseudo planche push ups
the hard part is to get the tuck planche.... im almost there but i decided to go back to shoulder/core training. Also an other advice is to be patient ...
6'2" and 200 pounds and tuck plance feels like a fucking nightmare. I definitely got the basics down cause i have a 10 year weightlifting history but the shoulder load on the planche is just decimating. After 3 months of additional planche leans and pseudoplanche push-ups in my workout i can barely lift my feet off the ground (hands on the floor - no parallettes). Its a fucking huge grind and my elbows are hating me.
I am 192 cm (6foot3) and 90kg (like 200lbs). I have been in the gym for some time and I can bench press my body weight easily, also I don't do bad in military press but I when I try the tucked planche It looks like a dip with the knees bended. I cant lean forward enough (I fall to my face) or get my butt and lower back up. Hope this progressions help me. I dont know if I dont have enough strength (I thought that as I could bench press 90kg that this would be easy, It isnt lol) or if my body is just too big for this exercise to be possible for me. Btw great video man, one of the most well explained and structurated I have seen, I think the progressions are perfect to develop the skill, lets try them
Yeah unfortunately bench pressing doesn't really translate all that well to this lol. There was a guy at my old gym who could bench pretty heavy and was also humbled by the tuck planche the first time he tried it. If it's a new exercise, be patient. It's going to take some time. But grind the exercises in this video and you'll get there! Also, I really appreciate the kind words about my video! I'm doing the best I can to provide valuable information!
thanks my pushing streanght is very good but i have the issue of the planche lean still being hard thank you for making me use my brain and hopefully with planche lean training ill get it very good video btw
I am super confused about my lack of strength in this skill and was wondering if you have any advice. I can do a Planche lean for almost 10 seconds with my hands at waist-gut depth. I can do 40 push-ups in a set with good form, at least 15 dips, and 10 pull-ups strict form. I have years of experience in breakdance and did handstands and elbow levers all the time. Despite these feats, whenever I try a tuck planche, I can’t even get my knees close to lined up with my elbows, and even with my knees so far infront of my elbows I can barely hold it for more than 3 seconds. I am protracting my scapula as much as possible, and it seems no one else has this problem. I also trained both calisthenics and weighs before, I’m just stumped at what the issue is
Honestly, it's going to be hard to say for sure without a video. Honestly though, it sounds like like of strength and straight arm strength is probably the issue assuming a 10s planche lean hold and 15 dips is your max. The tuck planche is a very deceptive exercise. You're welcome to join my free WhatsApp group and send me a video for feedback. i weight around 86kg and can dip around twice my bw (160kg in total) and can overhead press almost 75kg and also i train straight arm raises and i can do full abb wheel role out but seems I'm no where near the tuck planche what is wrong? (btw my arms are not that long and i have really big legs)
@@CinnabarCalisthenics but alot of people achieved planche and front lever only by doing basic exercises so isn't brute strength alone can alow you do these skills?
How did you know i have a phone? Are you spying on me?

I am 173 cm, 85 kg BW, 85 military press and can barely hold tuck planche haha. Its way harder than it seems like.
You may need to add some mobility and stretching exercises to your routine. Some yoga poses/ moves are really good for that.

Sir I'm trying for two months for tuck planche but i can't do why
And my abs are too strong and shoulder too
Try the frog pose with some variations and see if you can hold it for a long time
Have you tried easier progressions? Crow?
Simple as that.
Nice video.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it 👍

How long and how often have you been training the tuck planche?
@@CinnabarCalisthenics i rarely train it im more into weighted calisthenics
There’s your answer. You have to train the skill to do the skill.
@@CinnabarCalisthenics but alot of people achieved planche and front lever only by doing basic exercises so isn't brute strength alone can alow you do these skills?
keep trying and find out for yourself I guess
I can even do what you do as a total beginner
After 1 month of training iam now able to lift my body 😎
Awesome!
@@CinnabarCalisthenics my hips are almost at shoulder height now
@@VitorCaldeira1980How plz tell me 😢
Can u give me a couple more ways to work out if u cant do the crow pose?
do planche leans and pushups with scapula protacting and retracting
There is easy variation of crow pose - you put your elbows inside of your bent legs and spread a bit your squatted legs
My big stomach doesn't allow me to raise my knees
Start dieting. I have two videos on my channel.
What unlocked my planche was to extend my push-up beyond the top by protracting my back.
That's a good one to focus on!

Hi you weightlifting too?
Yep
Thats actually a crane pose not crow pose straight not bent arm & much harder 💪
My tuck planche looks just like the one on the left of the thumbnail. So disappointing😣😣😣
Stay consistent with your practice!
@@CinnabarCalisthenics thank you for replying so soon sir😊i hope i can planche strongly as you can someday
It's much easy by trying to kiss the floor while in the position in a hand press.
Yo I love your hair. No homo.
Haha, thanks!
