GM deserves some credit for keeping a low priced 4 cylinder with a manual transmission as an option. Not everybody needs 7,000 lbs towing capacity in a small truck. Time will tell if the reliability is anywhere near that of the Tacoma.
Got 1 already for about 2 months here in Edmonton. I like all about this freshly design Colorado. I do some research comparing Tacoma, Frontier, Ridgeline and Canyon. Tacoma has reliability but it's questionable. Colorado got my money after doing some research.
Great review. You pack a lot of info in a short video. It's great to have a Canadian review as the American and European models / options can be quite different on some vehicles. Two thumbs up. Thanks.
Yea that step is kind of overkill, except its kind of nice to have that bar there to bang your boots on before you get in to keep mud or snow out of your truck
Not digging the front fascia on this model. Is the diesel going to be turbo-charged? Also, when Zack stepped on the corner bumper step, it sure flexed a lot, not sure how much he weighs, lol!
Thanks Zack. What is Ford doing? Seems like it is time for the Ranger to return! I wouldn't buy one but many of us Canadians would. Keep up the good work/reviews!
Mine are just the right height. As the driver, I don’t use the step. But I have has passengers who need it and they use it in conjunction with a grip on the passenger side.

I have the manual transmission, but it is no longer available. A shame.
Zack: good review. One thing to be said for the 'step-up' or in my day 'running boards', they stop door dings!!!
The Duramax Diesel will be great. What a good looking truck!

The backseat headrest is supposed to be fold down to fit flat.

Uh, Zack, it's a 2.8L Duramax diesel, not Duratec. Ford used the Duratec name in the past.
Jonathan Truong Oh, didn't realize I said that. Good catch.

I heard Ford might be resurrecting the Ranger in North America.
They did
@@NorthCountryOutlaw how? I saw the 2022 at my local dealership just asking
@@Its.giving.millie I'm assuming they just built a small frame truck and put a 3.5 Ecoboost in it see them on the road all over
Would be 10x better with a column shifter
I hate column shifters.

So it is very much like its bigger brother. But, does ride as nicely?
question, is it best to have a extend cab ( bed ) of course more room for item's
Great review Zack. This truck looks great, but I can't wait for the new Tacoma coming out in the fall.
I'm hopeful that Honda answers back with an actual "small" truck.
4 years later, Ranger is back
#motormouth Canada what do you prefer silverado or colorado?
If the side step is optional, I don’t see that as a problem, lol.
Side steps are an option. I have them, but not the ones shown here.
Any plans for Ford to make an F150 Powerstroke with GM , Nissan and Ram making smaller diesels?
Do you have Volkswagen amarok in your country
No skidplates?
At this point the colorado/canyon are class leading.
the Tacoma is reliable, but SOOO dated
I love the look of the Tacoma but they really need to up their game.
How many km to a full tank?
I have the 4-cylinder gas engine with manual transmission and 2WD. I can drive more than 900 km on a tank of gas.
They haven’t changed the inside unless they changed it in the 2022
I can't wait to see the new honda ridgeline! Hyundai may have a truck soon too.
The bonnet are unnecessaryly high. How do you drive off roader without seeing the track front of the car.
Step bars come in handy for people under 6 feet but the step is up too high

17.6 L per 100km OMG !!! that sucks
+Slickpete83 im averaging 11 mixed hwy and city
"Z" not "Zed", We're in the USA not the UK
no, we're in canada.
We're in North America then
but canada speaks canadian english, not american english. grammar/vocab/spelling are different.
zedds dead baby...zedds dead
Canadians
No ground clearance :(
If you want more ground clearance, you can remove the air dam and install lift kits.
....and it looks like a Tacoma!
The step up is there for when you lift the truck.! Duh.
The description gave me a stroke
dünyanın en güzel ve donanımlı arabalarına siz amerikaliler biliyorsunuz sonra internette paylaşıyoruz siz Amerikalılari allaha havale ediyorum
Toy car is better than Dad then baby???
I don’t know what that means, but this truck is the size regular pickups used to be.
sizi allaha havale ediyom
Waste of time until the Diesel shows up.
Id buy this garbage if it had a 5.3
Are you trying to be all cultured by saying "zed 71"? Lol..we aren't in Britain. Hell why not just pronounce your "th" with "f"
Because Zack's Canadian...
