8hp gearbox controller comparison

This is an unbiased review of both controllers available at the market right now.
The HTG GCU was my first one and it just didn't work as they promised, more than 1 year trying to tune it, multiple broken Firmwares and a gearbox later I had given up
Now it runs a Turbolamik TCU and it is just amazing, no more laptops where a passenger should be, no tuning necessary, it just works.

Everybody wants to know how to use a mercedes shifter with the turbolamik. No answer yet tho

Interesting… I’m researching putting an 8HP70 behind an OM648 in a W211 and search TH-cam for ‘8HP70 controller’ and this is the first video I watch…. Going to check your other videos now!

How did you get the W210 shifter to work with the turbo lamik? Did you only need to check the pinout/convert to TCU pinout or did you implement a potmeter somewhere to use the analog shifter input TCU accepts? Also doesnt it have a linkage to the gearbox by default? Does it still have the same feel without it?

I been thinking about this swap for my w124 om606 turbo, and what info i have been find about the shifter is i only can use the bmw shifter?, how did you do? I would prefer to use original benz shifter. And can’t find adapter plate for n63 to om606

Really good work. I really wanted an automatic on my OM606 but at the time I did it went with the option of 722.6 and aftermarket tcu but not what I want. Really want the extra few gears especially for long trips, please advise how I can contact you to get some information or help from you.

Actually there isn't an arduino. The shifter is canbased and the turbolamik speaks this way to the shifter

hi , i have a CLK 320 A208 from 1998 and i love it i like it to much to change it i will like to have a 8HP ZF gearbox on it but i dont know if that is posible and how much it will cost thanck you
