I just wanna correct you on something, The Kailh Box Switches aren't in fact copies of Cherry MX's, They use a different mechanism to induce tactility in their clicky and tactile switches. The whites(clicky) use a metal wire(reffered to as a "click bar") which the slider hooks onto and then releases to create tactility while the browns have a pip in the slider to create tactility. This unique to the Kailh Box family of switches as far as I know.

BadSeed Tech Bought the Ducky one 2 mini and the Massdrop CNTRL. They're both amazing in their own ways. People who aren't familiar with coding might not like the Massdrop ALT or CNTRL keyboard as you have to flash the firmware for custom LED modes and macros. Lemme know how you like the ALT.

The way to fix the unplugging every startup is to go into your bios and turn off ERP and that solves that issue!

bought this board in September of last year, and truth be told there were a few bugs with the software, key mapping, and lighting initially. However, as of today (June 2020), everything seems to work seamlessly for me. I love the sturdy quality of the board, the lighting is bright enough for me, and fortunately I dont have any crooked caps. I dont use the BT function all that often, but it is convenient to have and overall im really happy with this purchase

This was a great review! I appreciate that you pointed out some of the rough spots other reviewers glossed-over. Still - I absolutely love this thing - typing on one right now! That arrow key tap layer is the tits.
Switch nerd here; Gaterons and Kail Box switches are both smoother than Cherries in my experience, but the Gats have a little more play / wobble as a trade-off. In my opinion, the Kailh Box switches are better than Cherries in every way being smoother, more stable, and in the case of tactile and clicky switches, more crisp and tactile.
As for the plug / sleep issue; if you set your system not to send power through USB when asleep / off, that should stop it from happening.

Great video and sound quality. My Anne pro 2 is mint and have none of the issues you had. Everything straight no bugs what so ever. Love being able to switch between my PC, Mac and IPhone in Bluetooth mode and go wired when needs be. That was the major reason for not ordering the ducky. Also the quick arrow feature is dope. Might order the white one for my home studio.

The Anne Pro 2 was my first mechanical kbd ever and I love it, I havent had any deal breaking issues yet, but one thing I dislike is the unoptimized software. Yes I understand that Obins is not a huge well known company/brand and I get it but somethings are kinda weird like the translations, functions of the software, and the controls. It's workable but just needs to be polished up! One thing i dislike about the One 2 Mini is the arrow keys, once I discovered the TAP function on the AP2 I didnt hesitate to choose it, ( and yes I know there are tkls with arrow keys but a 60% with rgb, mech switches, arrow keys, bluetooth, and an all around great package is a steal!!)
It really is a total package board....and they seem like they are really trying to get the bugs ironed out. I bet their next release will be very strong.

This board makes most sense if you live in China, Hong Kong or Macao. It costs 55-60 USD in those regions, which is very competitive pricing.
Yh, the AP2 is 400rmb(60 dollars) whilst the ducky one 2 mini costs 949rmb(140 usd)

Great Video! I own the anne pro 2 and use it everyday and i dont have any issues with keys being crooked on any of my keys. I dont really use the bluetooth/wireless mode so i cant comment on if there are any bugs for me. Havent had any issues with having to unplug and plug it back in though. I also use this board for gaming daily and i use brown switches. Personally I like this board over the ducky just because of build quality and the tapping for arrow keys feature :) but the ducky is phenomenal too. Great video i subscribed right away!

I was able to fix the issue with having to plug/unplug the cable on wakeup/powerup by turning on a power saving option on my mobo bios. Basically you have to cut the power to your computer when it's off entirely, instead of letting it have the low voltage that;s usually there when it's "off".
Glad I decided to just order the ducky one 2 mini, instead of rushing out and getting the Anne Pro 2. For what I need the ducky is a much better choice, thanks for another great review :)
Its worth the wait...people don't understand the quality difference. And anyone who says there isn't one, hasn't tried both boards.
@@badseedtech i do own both boards and a fuckload of other boards in 60 and 65% formfactor and well all my keys are in line and not crooked so im thinking u have been abit unlucky , i do agree out of the box the Ducky looks alot better, but Feel,weight,Flex etc id actualy place the anne pro higher, if i close my eyes and use them id pick anne pro 10 out of 10 times, but then again my anne pro looks faar away from stock anymore so its higher visual aswell now...

Collin I got the anne pro 2 White The lighting is really bright and I love the sound of the keys :) and I can put any effect I want
Also have the anne pro for a year now, when i had it at the start it was pretty buggy and firmware update's were a pain to install for some reason, but when the more recent firmware update's installed it has been a great experience without any problems.

Sucks I had the same issues with this board. My first mech keyboard. Didn't know I was signing up to be a beta tester too. I was looking around thinking everyone was mad, it felt like a nose dive compared my previous over a decade old membrane keyboard. Envious of the Ducky. Looking forward to Vortex RGB POK3R to see how it compares.
Did they fix alot of the issues?
@@qluna2791I've been stuck with it 5 months. Bluetooth freezes and crashes devices, so I don't even try that anymore. LEDs color has gotten better though still inconsistent. There is a delay now and again typing when in wired mode. Typing is inconsistent with often double or no recognition of key presses. I contacted the seller and they are sending a replacement. Be a few months before I know if it's all fixed.

@@getreal_2k24 it does to some extend when one keyboard is about 100 dollars more expensive with almost identical features so to say. Mechanical keyboards are a luxurious buy, but there are some things to take a look at from a consumer's POV.

I ended up purchasing this over the ducky keyboard, and let me tell you it is flawless. My best upgrade for my setup in years. I am in love with the white on white and this keyboard! 10/10 recommend :D
Very nice video! I can't believe I'm saying this, especially since I'm an old guy who's used to the full keyboard layout (Still use my IBM Model M from time to time!), but I'm starting to like the 60% keyboards. I've got a Varmilo 60% keyboard that I really like, and Massdrop just delivered my OLKB Preonic Mechanical Keyboard that I need to assemble and test out.
They both have their applications. I can't edit as fast on anything but a fullsize board but i REALLY like to game on the 60%. And NOTHING wrong with that Model M - those things are built like an M1 Abrams

Hello my anne pro 2 came in today! I really like the keyboard, but... when i plug my keyboard in i can’t update the firmware to 1.12.3 and it says “show details” but than the screen stays white. Does anyone has a fix? Thanks
