I liked how quick this one was! I still consider myself a beginner. You’re a great instructor!

Great videos man. Can you do a video on where to place your thumbs? I'm just using some basic MMA-style fingerless gloves and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tuck them under or keep them on the side.

Ayy appreciate it, thank you! To be honest, I don't have any experience with MMA, and don't think I've ever even worn a pair of MMA gloves, but I imagine they are similar to the Fierce Reflex quick wraps I have. But either way, I wouldn't recommend these gloves for Reflex Bag Training 🙁 . It just seems like there would be a way higher change of injury (not connecting cleanly with your bag) and injuring a finger or wrist.
If possible, I'd pick up a pair of boxing gloves, Amazon definitely has some affordable options (and I'm happy to help if you need a recommendation).
If that's not an option, I imagine the thumb rests gently just outside the pointer and middle finger, and I'd focus on connecting with the bag cleanly using the outer most knuckles (but again this is very hard to control early on).
Sorry if this wasn't the ideal answer, but hopefully it helps! Let me know if you have any follow up thoughts/questions 🥊

@@reflexbagworkouts Thanks for the thorough reply! Appreciate it. If you have any recommendations for more affordable Amazon gloves that would be great. I'm really just using my reflex bag to get some cardio in, so I don't want to invest too much. 👍

how well has the Vali Cobra bag hold up for you so far?? i owned the cheaper Max MMA regular reflex bag and after 2 months of light amateur use, the screw at the bottom stripped (it's the tiniest screw and threads ever...). i learned from reviews that this is very common. i also knew that because the screw they use is so frickin small it's bound to rattle loose. MaxMMA was kind enough to send me a replacement part. this time i figured i would reinforce it and put threadlock on the screw. it broke after being used for 2 10 minute sessions.....
long story short: i'm a beginner who really wants to continue boxing as a hobby, but i'm afraid on what reflex bag to buy.... i noticed on a few MaxMMA Cobra reviews they said the bottom screw vibrates loose as well. meaning if you do not frequently check and tighten the screw at the bottom, it will strip. have you noticed this on the Vali model? how long have you been hitting this bag for? i've noticed you've used many different bags in your videos. thank you SO much!!!
