@@reedman0780 without phantom power, the microphone will be quiet and a bit hissy. I aim to be a voice actor so the standards do not qualify to me. If you just plan on using it in school work and talking and such, it is ok, but I highly suggest just get a usb microphone instead since the set-up is too bulky.

when you're changing mic level at the windows interface thingy, try the levels one by one, in my case on 60 the noise get super amplified while on 59 it's barely there, i managed to get my mic to have next to no noise by just fine tuning that setting (Fifine 669)

Thank you for this video! I was able to remove my hiss completely in OBS and S-Labs obs as well and reduce the hiss marginally in discord and regular windows voice recorder. However, my mic levels were different, yours was 70 vol 10 boost, mine was 35 vol and 10 boost and it's perfect. Maybe per person it is different, so it really is just a matter of testing out which mic volumes work the best for you!
I actually found a way to get that microphone boost... It is caused by improper setup. Maybe they managed to detect the mic but it is in the wrong port. If it does not work, you need to go to control panel and find Realtek Audio Manager and enable auto pop up when new audio interface is detected. Then reconnect it. Now when you go to Sound settings, the microphone boost will magically appear! Pin this comment if you think it's helpful!
@@AtleWithAnE if you dont have realtek audio manager, you might have a Realtek Audio Console installed on your computer. It's the same thing, you will have the microphone boost option there
Add to note bro... A lot of BM-800 versions released and a lot of its versions has a double A battery designed inside the mic components. The buyers have to make sure that they are purchasing the mic without the double A battery inside or else they will experience a louder hiss due to the battery inside. I have a purchased with it before way back 2016 and I asked the seller to replace it without the batteries inside.
Kung nakabili na kayo ng v8 soundcard pair it with phantom power nalang. Then wag niyong gamitin yung live 1 Gamitin niyo ang charger port but don't use the cord that comes with v8 (because yung cord sa v8 ay for charging porpuses lang talaga) maghanap kayo ng cord na compatible to transfer files or parang usb siya na nadedetect ng laptop ang v8. i'm really frustrating while face this issue.... i got hiss and static noise while use bm-800... and i cannot fix it... i'm using phantom power with my internal laptop sound card. which means i cannot use voicemeter to monitoring the output devices. but it'd working really well when i did not monitoring the output devices. is there any way to fix it?
I fixed my hiss issue by adding appropiate decoupling caps via soldering on the phantom power supply, also used a clean 5v rail power supply for the phantom power, whilei was at it I found some omitted emi reducing components ont he pcb that i soldered on lol, manufacturers these days

Oh yeah, try to low down your v8 soundcard mic volume and raise the bass/low and treable on your v8 sound card before you raise your computer mic volume input setting,I guess the V8 soundcard mic volume is combine with mid frequency,when you raise your mic vol on v8 means raise the mid frequency,that's why you will have some distortion sound like mid frequency too much after you raise your volume on your computer, tune the best voice before you raise your computer mic volume,the computer volume is the last step for finalize.that's what I know hope can help you
tbh with you if you are making music dont even waste your time either way when you master your vocals and you noise supress you are just dmg'in your vocals then when it comes to the point where u need to EQ Boost the vocals you will come across the same problem if you really want to not have any white noise get a rode audio interface or a scarlett that comes with 48 phantom power only way you can remove your white noise without dmg'in your vocals

Just a note, the Behringer interfaces usually have Midas preamps, Behringer own the company. The 202HD and 204HD do.
