This was amazing. Thank you for sharing! I am loving finding all these old recordings of her. I find her sincere, endearing and totally honest. Not the caricature that was created by others. They did her dirty. Saying she was never honest, always putting on a show. She put on the glam for public appearances but she spoke open and honestly a lot about her upbringing and learning to talk for films and working hard because she wasn’t the best dancer, singer etc. to me she fully embraced who she was but always strived for better. Nothing wrong with that. Really fascinating woman who is totally under appreciated in the media
So true. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. She truly is misunderstood. So glad we have an online platform to now easily share the real Joan Crawford! ❤️
Love you for these videos! Women weren't (aren't?) allowed to be beautiful, powerful and successful. Joan was, and she was (is) a role model for women emerging in beauty and strength.
She's my kind of woman. I always tell everyone be your best because you owe it to yourself. Spend those five ten minutes in the bathroom making yourself look good because you owe it to yourself
I don't know about child abuse but this woman should be celebrated for her work as someone who came from nothing and made herself into a true star. She was a true pioneer for women. She wrote to every fan who wrote her and was a true.profgesiomal
Your videos are wonderfully crafted in word and image.... they are such a worthy tribute to a woman like no other and a professional like no other.... I think Joan Crawford is poised to survive the jealous noise and keep looking better and better as time passes....
My first experience of Joan was when I watched "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" through a crack in my bedroom door. I wasn't allowed to stay up that late, which was when movies like that aired on TV (it was 1967), but my door had a straight-on view of the TV so I became sneaky, lol. I loved that movie The second experience was when I bought "Mommie Dearest" shortly after it was published, and I allowed that to color my opinion of her, even though, as I grew older, I couldn't square what I'd read in MD with what I perceived on the screen and in interviews: a hard-working, dignified, and gracious woman Oh, she could be manipulative and conniving, sure. You had to be in Hollywood, or you'd never survive. She fought fire with fire...🔥 Is this from her audio book? Because now I *really* want to listen to it... Thanks for this snippet! I think Joan would be tickled pink to know her words of wisdom are still reaching people to this day... Subscribed ❤
Thank you for your kind words. 💕 Yes, this is from her audiobook which The Concluding Chapter of Crawford has graciously provided to us for FREE! So many people have wrote it off as “outdated”. Of course some things are, she was born in 1906, but the core beliefs and lessons remain true today. Here is the full book! th-cam.com/video/RXDPQmLit8w/w-d-xo.html
Yes. She had even trained for an operatic career with Rosa Ponselle coach. There was also a vinyl released in 1975 (without her consent) of her songs, featuring unheard recordings. She was a wonderful singer.
This woman was maligned for years. She worked hard. She achieved. She is someone to be admired.
Success makes enemies, especially of people who are unwilling or unable to conceive, perceive, or partake in it.
I didn't know Joan sang . There is just something about her thst is captivating

What a terrific lady. Beautiful, talented, strong and down to earth.
That moment at 6:47 where she laughs and looks down seemed so genuine and sincere! She really didn't take herself too seriously!
JOAN ✨😍🌟💫💐
Another fabulous video! Joan's outlook on life is so inspiring to me. And she was earnest in everything she did. 💜

What she said❤
Three octaves? 😍
Was that "really" JC singing?
