I love Somebody Somewhere so much and I love that Bridget is doing her thing. She created a show that has real characters. Not one person on that show looks fake and plastic and perfect and they don't act that way either. I am so sick and tired of fake everything, SS is such a needed show and I hope that it keeps going for a looooong time.
Bridget’s heart and vulnerability might be painful for her, but it’s her biggest strength. She reminds me of a beautiful golden lion who’s afraid of her lion-ness and is learning how to be it. I am thrilled she is working on her self through Sam. We, the viewers, get to reap the rewards. Great interview. Love you from the minute I first saw you on the screen, Bridget. ❤
This is a skilled interviewer, asks insightful questions, allows for a full answer and with every question takes you in more. Shows like this don’t come along that often and I hope it lasts many more seasons.
Thank you for this wonderful interview. For this Midwestern 68 year old who was a theatre major who still loves to sing, SS is just iconic and beautifully produced and written. The singing lessons this season...I can't even think about them without tearing up.
Somebody Somewhere means a lot to me. my brother passed between seasons 1 and 2 and i thought it would be too hard to keep watching but it's restorative. love you Bridget 💖
Also just want to say as a singer it is SO BEAUTIFUL to see Sam's journey with her singing. When you are full of grief it can be super hard to sing, and that's just a fact....
Singing is emotional because vocal cords are part of your body, you are sharing your actual body and soul with people. That coupled with the use of breath and the emotional nature of the music itself makes singing incredibly personal. I relate to this so much as a singer, when I’m feeling down I just don’t want to sing. Thanks Bridget for bringing these nuanced little moments from life into the conversation
I love this show so much! I am from the Midwest and I completely agree with what Bridget Everett says about leaving a small town in the Midwest and then needing that place when you are older and appreciating it more. Brilliant show with amazing characters.💛💛💛
I've been a fan of Bridget for a while, I always thought people were sleeping on her amizingness, talent and charisma for a little, she deserves a huge success. I'm so happy she has her own show on a major platform. DDHD
I love this show…such a wonderful talented cast….I’m always disappointed that the episode is over….i just want to keep watching. Joel is so funny and warm and charming.
Beautiful interview about this awesome show. Binge-watched it with fascination, came at perfect time for me and really meant a lot. Thrilled I saw a comment says there will be season 2!!
I'm a huge fan of this show and Bridgett. What a fantastic interview! I didn't expect the emotion and depth - and that makes me love Bridgett even more. Season 2 is outstanding and I cannot wait to see what happens in season 3!
What a Wonderful interview! Thanks to Both ladies for Really going deep and putting it out there! I've never seen the show, yet enjoyed and grew from the interview. Going to have to check it out!!! PS, I'm a bit older than the protagonist, so take this as a flash forward: First class reunion I attended was 40th. I have classmates on TV, and successful in business, and One who was recruited from Pew Research by Pres. Biden, no sh...kidding! So framing was going to be important! My talking point: Some people had Careers; Some had Families; I Had Adventures! Without fail, the response: "I wish I'D had adventures!" STAY STRONG, Weirdos and Freaks! The Best Is Yet 2 Come!!!!! (reclaiming this phrase, here and NOW.)
Wow what a treat! I was just talking about the show to friends who haven't seen it. I found it hard to encapsulate what is so special about it. Wish I had seen this interview before our conversation. It has been a joy to see Sam and Joel's friendship unfold. Bravo on an excellent interview, Brittany.
I am watching this show now. I absolutely LOVE IT!! It's funny, heartwarming, emotional, and real! I love Bridgett, she's awesome! The entire cast is awesome as well. The guy who plays Joel (Bill Hillier)? is so friggin funny! I laugh out loud while watching. I love how he and Sam become great buds. I want my partner to watch this show with me. I know she will love it, too. I'm so glad I came across it.
She's incredible. Watching her career the last several years and seeing her really come into her own has been so cool. The show is fantastic and the perfect salve each Sunday after "Barry."
Love the show so much. Hope to hear more singing soon in season 2. I love the diverse cast. The storyline is unique and feels real. Great interview and loved the pause during an emotional moment vs going into comfort mode. Awesome.
I am SO happy for her success! I have loved Bridgette since... forever! She is so funny and man, those opera lessons paid off, what a great singer. She seems like a really cool chick.
Love you Bridget! Love your emotion and humor. You are helping me as I am sure you are helping others. Brittany Luse is a beautiful and thoughtful interviewer
I stumbled upon this show and was unexpectedly touched by the sweet characters. I think my life would be complete if I had a Joel BFF. Who wouldn’t want a fun friend like that?
I love Bridget & Somebody, Somewhere. The show feels cozy with the perfect amount of theater kid flare. It’s simplicity is exactly what I cherish about it. Great job to all involved!
This series is so, so good. It's a breath of fresh air. Just real people dealing with real things. The last episode of Season 2 set in rural Kansas is gorgeous. I'm from Kansas and I felt like I was home again, and then to listen to Kansas in the credits fadeout.. so much nostalgia.
"Love You More" should have been given a chance. "Somebody Somewhere" is brilliant, naughty, and wholesome all at the same time. Bridget Everett embodies humanity and heart. 🌈💛
Watching SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE is like spying on some people going about their daily doings and listening in on their private conversations. It's SO real. Not like acting. I love Jeff Hiller, what a doll. Everybody on that show is amazing and deserves all kinds of accolades.
Add on lyric- It’s been a minute since I lived the life I wanted to- I chose to walk a different path- those that walk with me today are the ones that still make me laugh - Dear Bridget- I hadn’t sung a song in years until I saw Somebody Somewhere- I studied with a former Metropolitan Opera coach and he helped me discover a voice I had hidden and he set me free. When I heard you sing on your show I instinctively knew you were also one that needed and have to sing to release all of your voice and bring better vibrations to the world. I dig your show to the marrow of my bones. You make me cry, laugh, giggle, snort, and feel filled with new possibilities. Thank you dear girl and please thank your outstanding cast. You all are Rock Stars and new Heroes to us all. Keep going! ☮️🌹❤️
Holy cow! Talk about coming to class prepared! The lady conducting this interview is awesome. I love the show and all the actors and it’s so nice to see somebody delve into the series in such a connected way.
I am so so glad Bridget found a vehicle to allow her phenomenal talent to be realized. I am from a family of 6, I was the singing sister, and I was also on the swim team. Plus I love the C word. I am now retired and my sister lives in Burlington Kansas. So many coincidences. My BFF , I haven't seen in years...he has always tried to get me to sing. I haven't seen him, though we communicate...his stage 4 lung cancer and my loss of mobility has made us separate from seeing each other physically. But Bridget! I have followed your career for many years. Your dream sequence from another show, of you singing in a gorgeous pearl encrusted bra still lives in my head, and heart. You deserve everything. ( our family lost a sister too. ) JUST LOVE YOUR PASSION.
I've loved her since the SATC film! Haha. But really, what an amazing show. Refreshing. My boyfriend & I love watching this -- it's real, raw, hilarious. So good to see her with her own show. And shoutout to my favorite duo, The Duplass Brothers, for working on it as well.
I'd never seen Bridget Everett in anything, but I'd seen her on other talk shows as well...& she almost always comes off as brash, crude, & over the top...despite even seemingly holding herself back...but humble & sweet as well. So when I saw the tab to Somebody Somewhere on HBO, I reluctantly decided to record & watch one of the episodes, because I already have too many shows I haven't gotten to. But after it recorded, I thought I should watch the pilot episode first, to familiarize myself with the characters......& I ended up watching EVERY episode of both previous seasons in chronological order, within 2-3 days. It just blew me away! Review: This is an AMAZINGLY well-written & acted show. EVERY single individual associated with it is stellar at what they do: Writing...casting...acting...directing...editing...you name it! But what stands out the most, is this woman's incredibly natural acting ability! She is simply AMAZING! Do NOT miss this show...you'll be extremely glad you didn't. :-)
I love this show so much. The two leads have been interviewed 100+ times since it started but no one has asked the type of brilliant, smart and very insightful questions that Ms Luse asked. We know much more about the development of the show and the characters due to this excellent interview. I can’t wait for season 3. I remain heartbroken over the death of Sam’s voice teacher. Barbara Robertson’s character made a big impact on me in the very few episodes she was in. I really wanted this character to be a regular.
Excellent interview, I love this show and I love the character that Bridget created. Our lives, Sam's Bridget's and mine, share many similarities in some ways, and I totally get what Bridget means about the joy of singing being almost too much. Thanks for this great interview!
I love Somebody Somewhere SO much!! I tell all my friends to watch. I have binged S2 and I cried when Sam and Tricia fought over learning about Holly and again when Joel was trying to get back into Sam’s good graces, and then once more during Fred and Susan’s wedding (spoiler!). Bridget is brilliant on this show! I really hope there is a S3! Who needs to hear that??!!
I love this show. I'm also an unmarried, childfree woman in her 40s. Im psyched to see someone so relatable to my life on TV.
I didn’t know there were others! Lol
So true....
oh me too, don't think i've seen this programme, though
@@ellie-tk4jy definitely check it out. It has a lot of heart.
@@ellie-tk4jy Why are you reading this comment, Ellie? GO WATCH "SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE"! 😉
The show is perfect. Every second, every scene. What a gift and what extraordinary talent. Thank you Bridget, you are amazing.

Agree - I absolutely love the realness.
There are a lot of shows with realistic people. I think the setting and what they do is definitely less flashy and fake.
I'm very happy this show has another season. It is wonderful and real and people need to see it. Joel really shines in this incredibly talented cast.

Bridget is a beautiful genius! So GLAD to see more of her and Somebody Somewhere is gorgeous and hysterical!
If everyone had a bestie like Joel, the world would be a better place. 😎
Somebody Somewhere means a lot to me. my brother passed between seasons 1 and 2 and i thought it would be too hard to keep watching but it's restorative. love you Bridget 💖
Bridget is OUTSTANDING!
Love this show. Love Bridget Everett and Joel Hiller's friendship
This show has completely captured our hearts. And I really have to underline how real the sibling relationship feels.
Also just want to say as a singer it is SO BEAUTIFUL to see Sam's journey with her singing. When you are full of grief it can be super hard to sing, and that's just a fact....
Love Bridget 💜👏 so much! Thank you for sharing your honest emotions and for bringing us Sam
Bridget Everett is a beautiful soul. Her show is a gift. ❤
Bridget, you have a beautiful spirit. Thanks for sharing it!
So glad I came upon this interview. Very conversational. Good interviewer too. Love Bridget. 😊
Bridget is so dope, she's got such a natural funny it's disgusting, in the best way!
Hands down one of the best shows on tv. Expertly captures the small town life .
she is amazing ...... and her HBO show great....
Love her, love the show, love everyone in it.
So enthralled with this show and these artists. It feels so much like life imitating art.
The perfection of this show… is just wow!

Hilarious and relatable. Can't get enough.
show is fantastic. it’s such a relief to watch even when it’s tense.
The show is the perfect antidote for the Sunday scaries. Like a warm hug.. wonderful show
Love this show so much! It is my favorite thing on tv.
Somebody Somewhere reminds me of The Detectorist - a UK show. It is great. Please don't take these characters away too soon! Wonderful.
I love both of those shows but never made a connection. I can kinda of see it. The Detectorists for me is a perfect show.
That's a great comparison. I love Somebody Somewhere and The Detectorists for some of the same reasons.
I love the music in the show…it’s sweet…simple quirky…like the characters.❤
I love her, and the whole cast and show.
The show is like a warm hug!
