not only is this a very haunting unknown song but- Krist is wearing a shirt that Kurt would later wear on the date of their last performance in Germany. 0:53
I swear it's not only the music that still resonates to this day. It's that scream, his scream is the most primal I've ever heard in music. It's so terrifying, soulful, beautiful and painful. All those things are in all of us, and that scream just touches that primal animal that lurks beneath all of us.
kurt good. his scream not technically good, but it’s got own style and soul. but yo, actually there was a guy who screamed more enthusiastically and it’s layne staley
@@Bened1ctoos Kurt was more punk ISH with his screams. They were meant to be harsh as fuck. Layne's were a different style less harsh but more focused on hitting certain notes
@@Bened1ctoosto me Kurt’s is still better even if Layne used more technique. Kurt has the greatest scream in rock music (in my personal opinion, technique wise im fully aware that’s not true). It’s not too screechy like metal and it’s not overdone. He’s just…doing it? It seemed so natural.
It’s a completion album not an LP, only reason it exists is because people kept bootlegging Nirvana and they needed to release something real in-between their official albums. I get the confusion but it’s not “officially” an album (but still amazing, has some of my favorite songs)
Almost every single song is dark by Nirvana lyrically. Just because the sound and vocals SOUND low or upbeat....the lyrics I find are pretty dark( sad or depressing...but very relatable, obviously). Only other two I can say are extremely the same( lyrically).....Korn and Deftones. At least for GenX like myself.
@@shellydavis4399 I know, but tone wise this is way darker than most stuff on In Utero even. Meaning wise, that's completely different. Polly is still one of the darkest songs by the band and it comes from Nevermind. Not saying there's nothing with any disturbing themes from the Nevermind era.
Damn, none of you were actually Nirvana fans was not depressed dark cynical, he was dry hilarious mocking nothing lyrically like Korn or the Deftones relatable either you Gen Z you definitely got lost on social media somewhere with this fake narrative
@@ListedMia-sm4xm I'm talking more about the sound, not the meaning here. Those screams, the bass, and the quality of this whole thing add on to the already haunting tone here.
@@yoyousif935 oh ok yeah that makes sense even that sour guitar and that Pat smear brought into it from the germs which is a total punk rock band that I don’t particularly like, but I do like the sound was looking for in utero and as an adult yeah I know what you were trying to say that makes sense
I don’t know much about any for track demos, ever being recorded at reciprocal… But maybe there’s another different alternative version that I’m unaware of. th-cam.com/video/XihRlAokJVc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uW3t1yjwuHxbqx9H
It’s officially “Vendetagainst”. Help Me I’m Hungry is a bootleg title for the song. “Come on Death” is as well but I thought it fit and this version is unique
the closest they got to that was the earliest version of Vendetagainst that they played on KAOS radio in 1987. it's the only studio quality recording of the song they ever did (to the public's knowledge) th-cam.com/video/_xNWcZMjSnY/w-d-xo.html

That last scream sends a cold shiver down my spine, it sounds like a dinasour roaring really lol.
I wish I listened to the song before reading your comment, when I heard it I just burst out laughing
Really sounds like Godzilla:000
those screams are insane
Kurts screams are unreal.
This channel rocks
Hella
I imagine this being on a fourth album that could've been made
They had 4 albums
@Fernz_Clawz No they didn't, Incesticide is a collection of BBC sessions and outtakes from Bleach
@ it’s still an album

Thanks for this, been looking for an upgrade 🙌
Insane song
Badass vibe
He sounds shattered here , this is a hard listen. Very dark
His vocals are on the top here lol
new favorite nirvana song 2024
Nirvana para siempre!!!!
This song seems way too dark especially for the Nevermind era, i love it regardless those screams are crazier than what he could do on most of Bleach.

This song would fit on unplugged
I don’t think MTV would let us play it
😂😂😂
Does anyone have information about "Escalator to hell" by nirvana in june at reciprical recordings?

Hes singing about Tobi Vail and hes not saying Come on death
Didn't Kurt play this song without a guitar?
That’s not the name of the song
how have i never heard this before??
You didnt download the box sets
thought dat was nettspend in da thumbnail lol

Actually Vendetagainst is the fan title and Help me I'm Hungry is the official title as it is named on with the lights out
no, with the lights out has multiple mislabels
@@rarestnirvana whenever Vendetagainst is looked up, it is no where to be found in Nirvana catalog, but Help me, I'm Hungry is

Sounds like “Again” from Alice In Chains
Not a fan of this take. It's a bit of a waste of Kurts vocal chords tbh
