This guy was my favorite TH-camr during 2016-2020. His videos made me so happy and all the life that was put in to all the characters in his videos like Notch, Bacon Craft, Pink Sheep, Purple Shep, and Failboat. All of that was great and I miss it so much.
Sadly I don’t think purple shep will return as Failboat does other content now Shep did have a lot of solo videos but I know all the memorable ones were with Failboat esp the bendy and the ink machine one

Once of ExplodingTNT's lead actors and Discord admins once told me in mid 2021 that his hiatus wasn't due to his channel not doing as well, but rather some sort of illness his doctors (at least at the time) couldn't diagnose that somehow impeded him from making vids. I'm not sure if it's a chronic condition that's still afflicting him or what. His 2020 hiatus was also largely owed to him wanting to take a break, but Covid coming not too long into it largely made his plans to do things outside TH-cam in that time go awry (as mentioned in his return video). It's possible he wanted to make up for what he missed out on in his first hiatus with his second one. And lastly, in a late 2010s Q&A, he promised to do a voice reveal at 5 million subs and a face reveal at 10 million. While the former happened a while ago, the chances of us the face reveal at this rate rate are quite low. Before Dream came along, he was arguably the most famous Minecraft TH-camr who notably kept anonymous.
I ain't even mad that he quote on quote "Abandoned" us. At some point a legacy must be put down. Honestly, it's nice to know that he's doing Alright instead of some controversy regarding possible Pedophilia or such (Like many *OTHER* Minecraft TH-camrs have gone through). A homie of childhood dreams that ain't gone through such routes is truly a Certified Individual.

Oh man, seeing his store with the wayback machine, that brought me a sudden memory. I was the one who originally designed the "Mouse" Tee Shirt, from the inside joke spread in his videos. He came across my DA upload, loved it, asked me if he could get someone to redraw it for a Tee, and I'd get one of those for myself. The artist behind the redraw was called "BinofTrash" or something like that at the time. Unfortunately, I never got that Tee I was promised. Not mad about it, after all, my concept wasn't completely original, and it's an undebatably better redraw that was sold ( the original being on traditional paper as I was still young and not very experienced in art. ) At another time I sent TNT a world download of a big town I had built in survival on a server and simply saved the chunks locally. He ended up using one of the neighboring homes that were abandoned by their builders way before I settled my town, as one of his filming locations for one episode, during his 2017 peak. If only I knew who originally built that little villa! Now it's just forgotten history.

I remember my friends and I would watch explodingtnt constantly back in 2016. Minecraft machinimas in general, but his channel was easily one of my favorites. Heck I remember waiting for him to upload once I got out of school. It’s funny knowing a lot of other people watched him as much as I did back then. The true sad thing is that after his peak, his fame just vanished. I watched his squid game skit and its still good but doesnt feel like the old days. Its very sad to revisit these old youtubers like tnt and see that they lost nearly a tenth of their fame.
This guy’s audience has probably replaced itself 3 or 4 times by now. In my twenties now and I binged this dude’s videos/frequented his server all the way back in elementary/middle school. Respect to the people who have stayed in the game this long.

TH-cam had made some tweet that was meant to show the top favorite creators of 2022. It had many creators you'd expect and then ExplodingTNT was among them looking out of place. There were many replies confused on what he was doing there since he hadn't been releavant for a long time and his last upload had been over a year ago before the Tweet was made. ExplodingTNT even humorously quoted the Tweet saying: "Very happy to be included in this, worked super hard in 2022!"

he doesn’t have the coder badge - that’s early supporter which means he had discord nitro early a long time ago, and partnered server owners have free nitro so he doesn’t have a subscription on discord though he may still use discord from time to time who knows🫡
Hi! I’m the discord admin in that video that was all over in the announcements channel and can explain!! His discord server is an official partner server, so he gets some benefits for the server that you’d typically get with nitro and he is supposed to get nitro as the owner of the partner server! I hope that clears it up, though it wouldn’t be shocking for him to just buy it outright as nitro is $100 a year. He does respond to most DMs his staff sends him in a timely manner, and he has more recently messaged staff channels. However, TNT isn’t super close with any of his staff so none of us DM him regularly. He’s a good guy though and doing well!

I've been watching Explodingtnt for almost a decade already, watched every new video that pops out and even named my mouse and dog based on him and his pomsky Pluto, respectively. It's really sad that he abandoned the platform without a word, but I understood his situation. He's been making those videos since the age of 14 and because of how long his career was, it felt more like a chore than a passion. He grew out of it wants to live as an ordinary human from now on, away from his identity as TNT. I just wish he's okay, and hope one might see him among the random crowd in Toronto.

Bck in the day after school, I used to watch his videos while eating. I think I'm going to rewatch them one last time, to pay respect and relive the happy memories he brought into my life. Explodingtnt was some of the oldest Minecraft videos I liked, I specifically remember his poop armor video and me instantly clicking on it when I saw the thumbnail
i used to watch explodingtnt and ill continue to be subscribed to him until the end of his account, but i used to play on a server called MCOrigins which was owned by explodingtnt, so maybe you can find some more info there
chances are TNT's subscribers just aren't as active on TH-cam anymore and the TH-cam devs deleted some of those accounts, causing a landslide of subscriber drops. This is not an isolated incident, and I believe what we are seeing is a combination of that and what Yusu mentioned in the vid.
I used to watch ExplodingTNT a lot when I was in middle school, he was my favourite Minecraft TH-camr. I was even online at the same time as him on his old acting server when he made it public for a short period of time. He's probably just out there living his life and pursuing other passions now. He did spend a very long and impressive amount of time as a Minecraft TH-camr, releasing videos very frequently. He most likely got burnt out and then didn't have the same drive to continue making videos after coming back from his break, instead wanting to try something new. Wherever he is now, I'm just glad his videos were a part of my childhood. I had a lot of fun watching them. I also learned about Hytale through his channel, which I'm... still waiting for. Crazy how long that game has been in development for. Notably, before Dream came along, ExplodingTNT may have been the most popular Minecraft TH-camr who hadn't revealed his face. He promised a face reveal at 10 million subs but never reached that goal. Considering everyone's reactions to Dream's face reveal, perhaps he was smart setting the sub goal so high. It looks like his friend Failboat (who he knows irl iirc) still makes videos to this day, although they are mostly not about Minecraft anymore. Anyway this video was certainly a trip down memory lane. Also it was posted on my birthday lol

His discord server is an official partner server, so he gets some benefits for the server that you’d typically get with nitro and he is supposed to get nitro as the owner of the partner server! I hope that clears it up, though it wouldn’t be shocking for him to just buy it outright as nitro is $100 a year.
He does respond to most DMs his staff sends him in a timely manner, and he has more recently messaged staff channels. However, TNT isn’t super close with any of his staff so none of us DM him regularly. He’s a good guy though and doing well!
Explodingtnt, PinkSheep, Magmamusen and that one penguin guy that was making minecraft ww2 videos (I forgot his channel) was my childhood and one of reasons why I started playing minecraft.

ExplodingTnT was part of my childhood too, I used to binge watch his all his videos and rewatch my favorite ones. He's part of the reason for my Minecraft phase. Eventually I outgrew him, and remembered him seeing your video now...
I learnt about Failboat because of him. I really loved his vids.
I've been watching Explodingtnt for almost a decade already, watched every new video that pops out and even named my mouse and dog based on him and his pomsky Pluto, respectively. It's really sad that he abandoned the platform without a word, but I understood his situation. He's been making those videos since the age of 14 and because of how long his career was, it felt more like a chore than a passion. He grew out of it wants to live as an ordinary human from now on, away from his identity as TNT. I just wish he's okay, and hope one might see him among the random crowd in Toronto.

I'm honestly happy he went out like this. While some big final farewell and riding off into the sunset would maybe provide some closure, I'd still much prefer him simply dropping out as opposed to the way other minecraft related youtubers go out. No drama, no allegations, no cringe shitcoin scams, no rapid shifting of content into something alien to what the original viewers subscribed for, just a dude bowing out and living his life in a solemn and respectful manner.

i used to watch explodingtnt and ill continue to be subscribed to him until the end of his account, but i used to play on a server called MCOrigins which was owned by explodingtnt, so maybe you can find some more info there
fun fact: Playing on ExplodingTNT's Minecraft server is what inspired Hypixel to start their server!
chances are TNT's subscribers just aren't as active on TH-cam anymore and the TH-cam devs deleted some of those accounts, causing a landslide of subscriber drops. This is not an isolated incident, and I believe what we are seeing is a combination of that and what Yusu mentioned in the vid.

I used to watch ExplodingTNT a lot when I was in middle school, he was my favourite Minecraft TH-camr. I was even online at the same time as him on his old acting server when he made it public for a short period of time.
He's probably just out there living his life and pursuing other passions now. He did spend a very long and impressive amount of time as a Minecraft TH-camr, releasing videos very frequently. He most likely got burnt out and then didn't have the same drive to continue making videos after coming back from his break, instead wanting to try something new. Wherever he is now, I'm just glad his videos were a part of my childhood. I had a lot of fun watching them. I also learned about Hytale through his channel, which I'm... still waiting for. Crazy how long that game has been in development for.
Notably, before Dream came along, ExplodingTNT may have been the most popular Minecraft TH-camr who hadn't revealed his face. He promised a face reveal at 10 million subs but never reached that goal. Considering everyone's reactions to Dream's face reveal, perhaps he was smart setting the sub goal so high.
It looks like his friend Failboat (who he knows irl iirc) still makes videos to this day, although they are mostly not about Minecraft anymore.
