Many people act like Robert Wadlow is a testament to modern height. He is not. The 1940's isn't modern, and he is not an example of healthy height. His family were not tall. What people overlook is that his height has absolutely "NOTHING" to do with his genetics. His height is due to a tumor, granted its better than a tumor in one of your testicles or ovaries but it still killed him. This is not even something he was born with or could have passed on, he just hit the lottery at a young age, and a particular sunbeam or lead paint chip caused one cell in his pituitary gland, to work improperly. There are 100's of people in the past that were taller than 9 foot and they were healthy. @
