OFFICIALLY the tallest kid in the world, Jase, is a sweet 10-year-old boy who stands at a staggering 6 ft 3” due to a condition called ‘Gigantism.’ This condition means that Jase’s body releases extensive growth hormones in his pituitary gland, causing him to grow at a much quicker rate than an average 10 year old kid. Jase has grown taller by 5 inches each year and will continue to do so, unless he has a surgery to remove the growth in his head that will prevent him from growing further. Though he is resistant towards having surgery, one of the things Jase loves about his condition is how tall he stands above his peers at school, especially during football games, where every child and parent shake at the thought of him playing. Being six times the size of his friend Truman, the gentle giant is not only growing externally but also internally, as his organs and appetite grow to match his frame. Despite his appearance, Jase is a normal, loving 10-year-old boy who embraces being the ‘tallest kid in the world’.

If his life expectancy is only 40 because of the gigantism, obesity is only going to shorten that. Also, they said he plays football and is around 300 lbs when other 10 year olds can be like 60 lbs, I'm really hoping they don't let him tackle because couldn't he seriously injure someone? even if he's not tackling there's like body checking in football. Because it's a contact sport it seems pretty dangerous for the other kids.

    I’m Jases mom.
Thank you to everyone who has shown support for my boy! For those asking and/or too ignorant to do your own research….
Jase eats the same as his siblings. 3 of the 5 are average weight. I, mom, eat very little but gained weight due to medications I’ve taken for years. Also, Jase does cardio 4 times a week on top of football practice 4 days a week. Which I’m sure is more exercise than most of you get. So before you make a comment and bully a 10-year-old child, educate yourself on what you’re about to talk about because you only make yourself look like a fool. Thanks again to the ones commenting and showing their love!

I've read a lot of the comments and I can see how they can be so annoying. Ok, now as I say that, I'm about to say something potentially annoying. He's 6'3 1/2" and 10 years old. There are certainly kids taller than him at that age, so how did he get designated as officially the tallest kid? Maybe I'm not understanding, but just last week, I saw a 6'5" 10 year old kid who's supposed to be this amazing basketball future star. Again, probably my confusion. Have a great day and hopefully he can get that surgery. Good luck!

I have a pituitary tumour too but mine grew on the other side so it effects a whole lot of other things .. my prolactin levels mainly and possibly my vasopressin levels. Plus I'm getting severe migraines.
It's hard because the pituitary gland is only about the size of a pea and so a tumour suddenly growing on it can, obviously, be a lucky dip of (horrible) possibilities of what it's going to impact.

so you don't think a 10 yr old who is "roughly 300lbs" is not life threatening either? his weight isn't because of his gigantism. there is plenty of people who have gigantism and aren't obese. there is plenty of full grown adults who are 6'3 and aren't 300lbs. you should stop trying to be offended about everything especially when the advice you're offended by is actually helpful and from people who are legitimately concerned for his health. obviously you're not concerned about his health if you think people saying he should lose weight is wrong.

Otherwise, the more common drugs that cause weight gain cause only 20 lbs or so, more uncommonly 40 lbs. The mom here is way too big to attribute her size to drugs. Otherwise, why aren't scientists rushing to get these drugs formulated to be given to the 690 million starving-to-death people in developing countries so they can gain life-saving fat?

@@jillwatkins78 I've yet to come upon a MEDICAL explanation for why the surgery must be delayed three or four years for a condition that's ALREADY damaging his organs. Surgery through the nose to remove a pit tumor has already been done on younger patients. Another three years of saturating the organs with growth hormone will cause even MORE irreversible damage. If we're all wrong about some of these comments, then why hasn't the video and articles spent one lousy paragraph giving a MEDICAL reason, rather than "Jayson doesn't want the surgery," for delaying the surgery? Dayum. And yes, I've done my research: I challenge anyone to refute my comments with links to medical literature.
