Gee, I anticipated peal-off of excess black plastic on blue paint would pull plastic off chrome. We didn’t see you score the edges. What causes it to separate?
I'm having a hard time getting the plastidip out of the "D" and the "O"s on the Dual Motor badge...don't want to use anything too sharp but toothpicks aren't pulling up the interior plastidip. How did you get yours out?
Toothpick worked just fine for me. You could maybe upgrade to a pair of tweezers to grab it if you are having trouble with the toothpick. But yeah you’d risk scratching.
Veeery carefully with tweezers and a toothpick lol. You can gently catch and edge with the toothpick and then grab it with the tweezers and pull it off.
Does it stay on with a car wash? I feel like the pressure hose would knock it right off or chip it? Am I wrong? I would love to do this. But also want to black out the stripe! Gonna be hard
I pressure wash mine frequently. Still looks perfect after over a year. Idk about an automatic car wash though. I’d advise against taking your Tesla through those either way lol.
Just a coincidence, I swear lol.
Made that look easy! Great video! I like the performance badge as is.
Glad you like it. Folks will probably give me a hard time about it. But I like it.🤙🏾
Thanks Blake! That is a lot easier now that I see it! Much appreciated!
No problem! Glad I could help.
Nice job
Thank you sir.
awesome video doing it now to mine.
Nice 👍🏾 lemme know how it turns out.
I know the s video is old, you don't need so much tape. Tape once then tape newspaper around. Also wait 10 mins between is fine.
Great thanks lol.
Looks great!
Thank you sir. 🙏🏾
Great video!
Thank you!

I didn't score the edges. That's the beauty of plastdip. You don't need to. Should pull away just like in the video if done correctly.
@@BlakeCheck WOW, very impressive !
I like the spongebob reference 😂
I thought that was a nice touch. 😁

@@BlakeCheck thanks, had to use a sharper toothpick
How did you remove the excess plasti dip from inside the letters D, A, R, and O in the DUAL MOTOR emblem?

How does Plastidip hold up to car wash brush? We don't have any brushless washes in our area.
I’ve never taken it through one. But I’d imagine it’d rip it off. I wouldn’t recommend trying it.
