***** I sure hope so. Although, it's really depressing to know that MLS will never be part of anything as magical as the Champions League. I could be wrong but it doesn't look likely in my life time.
I feel bad for Dempsey. He was such a scapegoat at Tottenham, and then he got replaced by freakin Soldado, who's x10 more expensive, and x20 less effective. Not to mention that Bale, Dempsey, & Defoe were one of the best attacking forces The Spurs have ever had
Nice video but it would have been nice to get some numbers on the players for example, how young was Michael Bradley when moved andhow many goals has Dempsey scored. Just small things but it would have been nice to know. Great video nonethenless
People shouldn't hate on the MLS. It is barely starting out and many young athletes go on to play in different sports. The talent in the U.S is there and once soccer becomes more popular in the states there is no doubt that the MLS will be one of the biggest leagues. An example of the athleticism in the U.S can be seen in the Olympic Games, when the U.S almost always wins the most medals.
***** true in 1966 against the Germans, a World Cup trophy is something any nation and it's people would be proud of, and we are certainly proud of winning it! also our very Own Geoff Hurst is the only man to bag 3 in a wc final. how much I'd pay for that match ball...
edward heppner Didn't make a difference cos we netted a fourth. True if it had ended 3-2 that would have made it a little more controversial. Thank God it didn't go to penalties though!
Some honorable mentions. Oguchi Onyewu, Carlos Bocanegra, Brad Guzan, Aron Jóhannsson, Fabian Johnson, John Brooks, Geoff Cameron, Jonathan Spector, Alejandro Bedoya, and Timothy Chandler. DeAndre Yedlin and Bobby Wood both look promising
The majority of Friedel's Premier League career was at Blackburn, yet you refused to even mention the name Blackburn when discussing him, despite mentioning Villa and Spurs. You even said he scored against Charlton, but not that the goal he scored was for Blackburn. And Blackburn were the only English club he won a major trophy with (the League Cup). The same goes for Jermaine Jones, you said he played with distinction in England rather than just at Blackburn, even though Blackburn was the only club in England he played for. What is your problem with my club? It's not like the name should not be spoken like Voldemort or something.
Friedel, Howard, Keller, Donovan and Dempsey are all legit shouts. Brian McBride always seemed like a movie star signing to me. He was the block body on the end of a diddy man's cross. I think everybody enjoyed the gift that was Fulham football club. QPR are probably the more legit version though as they lack the cravendale goggles.
I have a feeling that people underestimate America in football they played really good in the world cup and Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey played really good plus they had that last minute equalizer with a sub against Portugal that lead them even farther in the world cup I thought they had a shot at winning but then Belgium and Germany came
So this channel started posting videos about 2 years ago. And only in the past 2 WEEKS or so they decided to turn their attention towards and share with their viewers a league/country that isn't within the spotlight of world football. And what do their efforts result in? Nothing but mountains of complaints of droves of haters. Goodness gracious, why not just take the videos as an opportunity to learn even just the slightest of something about a league/country you're not familiar with. If it bothers you that much don't even watch the video in the first place. What a concept. Yeah sure these guys are all based in London but football is played outside of Europe as well. And the last time I checked, this was a channel about football. The game, the community, the passion, etc. etc. All the things that are associated with this sport that we love. And guess what, these things exist outside of Europe as well even in America! Do the levels rival those of Europe? Of course not. But Copa90 felt that it was a prime opportunity to turn the spotlight towards America and the game within these borders if just for a brief moment. I think it's safe to assume that eventually the content will return to a more Euro centric focus wouldn't you agree? So to all you guys getting wound up over absolutely nothing, get over yourselves and realize that not everything centers around your particular tastes.
BP TV You just contradicted your own comment you idiot. You said Mexico has no good goalkeepers except ochoa (which isn't a true statement) and then you say he's shit right after? Wtf m8
I can understand why people hate the MLS (horrifically boring), but the states have a great future ahead of them. Football is getting more popular here, and more talent will arise from the rapidly growing popularity. I don't get why people hate the US when it comes to football (and don't it's because we're bad at football. If that were true, how come you never talk about the Indian national team?).
I don't mind the fact that football is growing in the US. Actually I love it. The one thing that really gets to me though is that they call it Soccer. It isn't Soccer it is Football.
Guzan? You may think I am bias but if he was playing for a top 6 team, he would definitely be named as one of the best GK's in the prem. just as he is playing for Villa he isn't up there with Lloris, De Gea etc...
I would switch number one and two, because the playing field is tougher for a midfielder than it is for a goalie. Also it is better to hold the record for goals than appearances. so dempsey is number 1
Lol what an embarrassment he's an okay player he was average at Tottenham and crap at buyer he plays in a bad MLS league he ain't great Dempsey and Howard are the best
Ok Euro guys we are not the best but we believe no matter what others say we keep playing and we don't have many expectations for our country unlike England were its very high with all the amazing talent they produce In 10 years time We could be a top world for youth and for Country Competitions Yedlin and Julian Green are with Top Euro Clubs if you count Spurs as a top side anymore I hope that Pep teaches Julian how to play at the top level so he could a star at Bayern. All I'm saying is that we will a World Cup and we will be a top 10 country time is everything so just be patient guys #IBelieve
Lol Pep? That dude can't teach shit. He goes for teams that win their respective League titles consistently. I would have loved to seen that fuck take over either Arsenal or Tottenham or Everton but he didn't...
People just mad cuz they know the US grooms the best athletes and as footballs (both of em) popularity grows, so does the talent of our league and our national side
Holy shitt lmao your wrong I am an american who is amaxig at football/soccer and like most kids just suck not everyone in the states is an athlete plus we dont produce the best athletes
Why so much hate for MLS its a top flight football league in NORTH AMERICA NOT JUST THE USA in case nobody notice i just love it progression as a league just missing that promotion/relegation it only getting better and NOT runied by biased refs or uncontrollable violence after or during the game
Guuuuzaaannnn, if Friedel is #1 then Guzan should at least be on the list at least because, as my time a a Villa season ticket holder, I've watched them both play a considerable amount of games and Guzan is far and away the better keeper.

I'm from Germany. Landon Donovan's issues weren't about adopting to the lifestyle but to the level of football played in the Bundesliga and his loan spell at Bayern was far from successful. Probs should have put him at no 10 lol
American supporters bought the most tickets to the 2014 world cup. Lampard and David villa are going to be playing in mls. (2 great euro players). Why sit on youtube (an american made site) and hate on americans? Why complain about americans all over the internet (which was also american made) I've supported futbol for years. european and spanish.
EDU EDU EDU EDU EDU EDU EDU!!!! Multiple league and cup titles with Glasgow Rangers. He may have been in the Europa League final with Rangers. Not sure if he joined the season after that though.
Cleveland Roxx He might have ancestry to the US because after slavery was abolished, the government sent a lot of former indentured servants back to Africa where they had been taken from originally. So he might just be part American.
it is a decade or two away, but if the sport continues to grow more popular in the states, just wait til these billionaires start buying all the euro talent and bringing them here. it will not surprise me at all if the mLs is bigger than bundesliga, la liga, premier, etc in 2030. money talks. people forget how insanely huge the sport was here in the 80's when pele played in NY. i'm not saying its a sure thing, but if the popularity continues, it could happen

Fabian Johnson is a boss at Borussia. so many Americans in the Bundesliga
American 'Soccer' football ( I'm English ) is really growing
Totally agree. If they step up to love it as much as their other sports... Imagine that.
***** I sure hope so. Although, it's really depressing to know that MLS will never be part of anything as magical as the Champions League. I could be wrong but it doesn't look likely in my life time.
Hipsters
NoOnenOoN closest they will get is the FIFA Club World Cup, which they would have to win the CONCACAF Champions League to qualify for
xTekkerZx Fifa Thanks. And thanks for the word soccer too, since you guys came up with it.
People need to realise football is growing way faster in US and I'm a Brit
I feel bad for Dempsey. He was such a scapegoat at Tottenham, and then he got replaced by freakin Soldado, who's x10 more expensive, and x20 less effective. Not to mention that Bale, Dempsey, & Defoe were one of the best attacking forces The Spurs have ever had

A lot of bitter Brits in the comments. Still angry we got past you in the WC I guess.
+Sid P haha remember you passed England, i am British anyway and yeah England played shit in that World Cup and you Americans played well.
***** true in 1966 against the Germans, a World Cup trophy is something any nation and it's people would be proud of, and we are certainly proud of winning it! also our very Own Geoff Hurst is the only man to bag 3 in a wc final. how much I'd pay for that match ball...

Some honorable mentions. Oguchi Onyewu, Carlos Bocanegra, Brad Guzan, Aron Jóhannsson, Fabian Johnson, John Brooks, Geoff Cameron, Jonathan Spector, Alejandro Bedoya, and Timothy Chandler. DeAndre Yedlin and Bobby Wood both look promising
TIM HOWARD
Yep!
Some??

I'm a Blackburn fan too and everyone hates us for no reason. Brad friedel made his name at Blackburn and everyone skips over that.
Edward Smillie Yeah I know. They are probably just annoyed because we won the league despite not having glory supporters.
Blackburn sucks... that's why
Edward Smillie Completely agree. Just look at some of the fifa 15 player ratings for Blackburn players. Shocking.
+Ryan Hyde he did great at spurs though!
How is Tim Howard only in 4th place
I really appreciate this list and putting US players on the map.
--American Outlaw, San Francisco
As a fulham fan its quite good to see how any yanks have actually played for us
+True Gooner they weren't struggling if they went to euro league finals
Friedel, Howard, Keller, Donovan and Dempsey are all legit shouts. Brian McBride always seemed like a movie star signing to me. He was the block body on the end of a diddy man's cross. Well said.
America is one of the best developers of the Goalkeeper, hands down!
So is mexico
+Eric Flores Haha Funny 😂
BP TV What??
BP TV You just contradicted your own comment you idiot. You said Mexico has no good goalkeepers except ochoa (which isn't a true statement) and then you say he's shit right after? Wtf m8
Toño rodriguez, Jesus corona, and Moises munoz are not shit goalkeepers.
Solid list guys!!
Brian McBride!!

horrifically boring? its football. MLS is very competative. I am 120% sure you have never seen an MLS game
I have, and it's boring.
+pl0x1337PwnEpix no you havent, you are definetly a stale fan and a frontrunner. Fuck you
Copa90! We have KickTV for this kind of thing. Stick with what you're good at. European leagues.
I've been to the Brian mcbride bar , I saw the 2010 Europa league final there
Friedel, Keller and Howard, three excellent goalies.
I don't mind the fact that football is growing in the US. Actually I love it. The one thing that really gets to me though is that they call it Soccer. It isn't Soccer it is Football.
Shut the fuck up who cares if they call it soccer like calm down
+Collin Wurtzbacher Did I sound angry? roflmao
who cares what we call it. Football, Soccer, Fútbol. The sport is a universal language that brings people together.
The only reason why we don't call football is because we have American football don't why we call it that they only kick about 5 to 10% of the game
Guzan? You may think I am bias but if he was playing for a top 6 team, he would definitely be named as one of the best GK's in the prem. just as he is playing for Villa he isn't up there with Lloris, De Gea etc...
No I agree , I'm a Spurs fan and I was really surprised to not see Guzan on here he is a solid keeper.
I guess the same can be said for Howard? lol, everyone Ive asked here in the States seems to prefer Howard over Guzan
+benanthonytyla Do you still think that way? Guzan is younger than Howard so will play more for the national team but Howard is still better.
I think Ronaldo or Messi are the best players from the US
Your my favorite troll
+the franchise I totally agree dude, such prolific players playing abroad while keeping true to their American roots.
Dude, stop. You're making it easier for people to believe the "Americans are stupid" stereotype. Set a good example.
its a joke you boring bitch
Brandon Manley mate it's a joke, chill
Having a league is better than no league at all. It shows that some of us Americans like the greatest game ever.
Why can't Americans be respected if they like the sport? Same game just a different name.
Actually the British invented the word Soccer, So don't be afraid to tell the world the British invented the word they get so butt hurt over.
***** aren't there better things for you to do with your dad, pathetic life than talk shit about Americans?
***** Love to your mother, my son.

All of you non-american people can stop complaining now...American football/soccer is growing at a quick pace. Nor are we to be disgraced.
I would switch number one and two, because the playing field is tougher for a midfielder than it is for a goalie. Also it is better to hold the record for goals than appearances. so dempsey is number 1
Woo mcbride, good to see a preston player getting a menchion!
Brad is definitely #1
What's about Steve Potts? The west ham CB

+Matt McGuire Lalas never played for AC Milan
//// besides lalas is a moron, not related just hate him
Guzan?
Why so much hate for MLS its a top flight football league in NORTH AMERICA NOT JUST THE USA in case nobody notice i just love it progression as a league just missing that promotion/relegation it only getting better and NOT runied by biased refs or uncontrollable violence after or during the game
what about Steven gerrard?
I don't get it
Kasey keller looks like the rock
I feel like the mms signs all the oldest but best players
Guuuuzaaannnn, if Friedel is #1 then Guzan should at least be on the list at least because, as my time a a Villa season ticket holder, I've watched them both play a considerable amount of games and Guzan is far and away the better keeper.
Where is onyewu
Do the eurofan
How come their is a load of US players that can play for Germany? (Green, Zelalem, Jones etc) I've never seen the countries linked in recent times so I was just wondering if anyone knew?
The USA stations some of their military in Germany so if they grew up on those bases and stayed for I think four years they can qualify for the German national team and that's also why they end up at the German clubs.
Tino Ramstedt Tino is correct about the bases, but just to clarify it's not necessarily growing up on the base that gives them eligibility, it's because these players have an American parent. So the bases are the main cause there are so many Americans, but it's not necessarily the bases themselves.
Also middle America “Midwest” was always heavy German immigrants you just don’t hear about it because of WWII there’s still judgment that comes with being german I think that’s why german america.
I'm from Germany. Landon Donovan's issues weren't about adopting to the lifestyle but to the level of football played in the Bundesliga and his loan spell at Bayern was far from successful. Probs should have put him at no 10 lol
What about Jay Demerit?
Christian Pulisic will top this list someday
American supporters bought the most tickets to the 2014 world cup. Lampard and David villa are going to be playing in mls. (2 great euro players). Either Howard or Dempsey should be #1
What about gear get whea
Why do people consistently overrated Friedel and Underrated Tim Howard?
+Ryan Herich brad aint overrated cowboy! he awesome!

LoL @ everyone hating in Americans and the MLS, you guys make me laugh
Europeans on America's 4th most popular sport: "MLS sucks! What a shit league!"
Americans on any European country's 4th most popular sport: "Umm, I have no idea what that is, but uh good luck, I guess."

martins?
Calling all Americans "Yanks" is like calling all British people English.
CooManTunes "Yank" is short for "Yankee", and Yankee's are people from New England and the rest of the Northeastern US.
So, you think that whenever somebody from another country calls you a Yankee, they're assuming you're from the northeastern portion of the US??? LMFAO! Brad Guzan?
how is brad guzan not on this list!
Because Aston Villa's struggling right now. I dont know
cobi jones?
Tim ream and Stuart Holden
Holden keeps getting hurt. Ream has to prove himself more
Yep but Jurgen is ignorant to Ream
Howard is #1
MLS will never improve until the players/coaches change their style of play. You can see it with jurgen klinnsman, the national team plays WAY differently than an MLS team.
