Hi there, thank you for your question! It sounds like your computer is stuck in an automatic repair loop.start by unplugging any external devices and attempting to boot up normally. If that doesn't work, try booting into safe mode and using system file check or the Windows Startup Repair tool. If those methods fail, you may need to use a Windows installation disc or USB drive to repair the operating system or reinstall Windows. Keep in mind that reinstalling Windows will erase all personal files and programs, so it's important to back up any important data before attempting this.
This video skips completely over how to even find the blue screen to attempt repair. I see several others in the comments are equally frustrated and cannot get an answer. This is exactly how otherwise well put together productions get dislikes and miss out on subscribers. My time has been wasted here.
Its not working. When i pressed power button and load in it shows up sad face and then directly turn into black screen acer logo and says Preparing for automatic repair
It says “access denied” when I try to do the bootrec /fixboot command. The other commands work just like in the video though. I assume that I can get it to work if I ran the command prompt as an administrator, but I don’t know how to do that here.Y’know I can’t just right click on it and click “run as administrator”.
After the windows automatic repair shows up it goes to black screen and doesn't show anything even after waiting for decades. Is there other ways to go to the safe mode? I really need my computer right now I have online exams and my thesis need to be done.
Could this be a RAM problem? I upgraded my optiplex 745 from 4 to 7 GB and this "preparing to repair..." ------> restart loop started. Took the drive to another optiplex 790 (not 745) and it works there. The 790 has 8 GB
Hi there, thank you for your question! You can try perform a hard reset by powering off your computer and disconnecting unnecessary peripherals. If that doesn't work, boot from a Windows 10 installation media, access the Command Prompt, and run a disk check with "chkdsk /f /r." You can also attempt to restore the registry using specific commands. If you had a system restore point, try using it through the installation media. Another option is to perform an in-place upgrade of Windows 10 to repair the system while preserving your files and settings. Finally, check for hardware issues, as they can sometimes cause boot problems.
Hi, thanks for responding. I cannot boot using installation media as far as I know. Whenever I power on, The screen just says VAIO, and then says Preparing Automatic Repair with a swirl. Eventually it just goes to a black screen, and if I wait, it restarts with VAIO screen & repeats. I literally can't access anything. And the computer was working fine up until this began happening after a restart.@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware

Hi there, thank you for your question! Begin by booting your computer and wait for the Automatic Repair screen. Once it appears, click on the “Advanced Options” button, proceed to “Troubleshoot,” then select “Advanced Options” again. From there, click on “Command Prompt.” Within the Command Prompt window, enter the command 'chkdsk C: /f /r /x' and press Enter. Allow the process to run its course before entering 'sfc /scannow' and pressing Enter. Upon completion, close the Command Prompt window, and restart your computer for the changes to take effect. IF that doesn't work try a system restore to the last time your computer was function correctly.
@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware I've already done this, too. Took me long hours to do this and waiting but it stuck on automatic repair loop. I'm worrying now. Can you suggest more? Thank you.

I get stuck in the preparing auto repair screen loop and have tried pressing f8 and going to bios. I don’t know if I can boot into safe mode in bios and I have tried many solutions but none work. Anyone help please?
Hi there, thank you for your question! It’s possible that your PC is trying to boot to the wrong drive. To check and potentially change it back to the correct one, you need to open your PC’s boot menu and select your C: drive. You can use the Command Prompt to fix the “Preparing Automatic Repair” screen loop issue. Insert a Windows installation media (USB or DVD) and reboot your system. Press any key to boot from the installation media. Choose your keyboard layout and click “Repair your computer” at the Install now screen. Click “Troubleshoot” and then “Advanced options”. Click “Command Prompt”. Type the following commands and press Enter after each one: bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /scanos bootrec /rebuildbcd Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved
@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware i’m not sure this is the issue as it does seem to boot into the right drive. I have the same issue windows is stuck on " preparing auto repair " it does go the menu which allows me to do auto repair . How do I solve this
For these solutions you don't need an extra object like USB right? Just with ur hands your video all good ?
Not sowing advanced options only black screen windows 10
Mine doesn’t show an option for Microsoft safe mode at all.
Same here. What did u do to resolve this later
This video skips completely over how to even find the blue screen to attempt repair. I see several others in the comments are equally frustrated and cannot get an answer. This is exactly how otherwise well put together productions get dislikes and miss out on subscribers. My time has been wasted here.
Is there any chance of losing any data or files through these processes ?
Probably
Its not working. When i pressed power button and load in it shows up sad face and then directly turn into black screen acer logo and says Preparing for automatic repair
It says “access denied” when I try to do the bootrec /fixboot command. The other commands work just like in the video though. I assume that I can get it to work if I ran the command prompt as an administrator, but I don’t know how to do that here.Y’know I can’t just right click on it and click “run as administrator”.
Try to Do bootsect /nz60 sys and the try bootrec /fixboot again
@@masonoderso it still says access denied
@@masonoderso have not tried that yet but thanks for responding
The thing us as soon as i switch on my laptop it shows the acer logo and it automatically sarts preparing automatic repair
I can’t boot into safe mode, I do the command, and it says it was successful, then when I restart the computer I’m just stuck in the loop again
This doesn't help
If you're stuck in the repair loop, you can't get into all that safe mode or options etc
My dudes I need help, I just bought a new ram module and I switch it with one I had before. So now I had 2 different modules combined one 2 gb and the other 4 gb same frequency and my pc keep reatarting and saying preparing automatic rrpair in a loop any help?
i turn on my computer then it goes on automatic repair then black screen forever how do i fix that
Same
I did this but nothing worked. I'm still stuck on automatic repair loop. Any other solution for this??
Thank you.
In my case it was just a loose connector, I found it out by entering bios and checking connected drives in boot option, one of them was missing, so I simply reconected the sata cable of that drive and fixed it.
Hey, thanks for your video. I am having a different issue like, i am getting the message "Automatic Repair Error" and my PC is getting "Shutdown" in 5-10 seconds after the above msg is displayed. Any Solutions for this please ?
Same issue, and I haven't found any solutions
I turned off my PC after automatic repair appeared on my screen and turn it on again but my monitor now is all black...it seems to be my second problem now
Sameee, I pressed the shut down button several times and it suddenly turned black like I can't see the 'preparing automatic repair' anymore and I don't know how to fix it😭. Did you already fix it??
Mine gets past preparing automatic repair, then when i get to choose keyboard language both the mouse and keyboard stop working and i cant select anything.

Continuing to windows and restarting over and over worked for me

I typed in x:sources as shown now I can't get into anything and I can't change it back to my c: prompt
please help, I hope you can answer this question, my computer has the blue screen from the windows10 issue and i have tried many things without yet getting some expert help, the only reason i havent restored it completely is i want to save the files and pictures i have on the computer, will RECOVER IT, from this stage of the computer, recover the files? thank you

@@cameronlamb7806 nothing, it still there.... i was given the advice to get a new hard drive,, thats about it
Nothing shows up like that after it says automatic repair and then goes black screen and cursors I pressed those f8 etc... Nothing works
Is it working now, cause mine is stuck at the Preparing Automatic Repair screen too 😭
My PC need sign in an administration? When blue screen, please tell me to do
I think my pc is dead forever I can’t reinstall windows and no fixes work. If I find a fix somehow I’ll comment it
The blue screen my only options are reset or restart is doesn’t give me command prompt screen
Im getting so angry with this. Every video or blog about this says boot in safe mode or boot from disk etc. HOW THE HELL CAN I DO THIS WHEN THE BLOODY LAPTOP WONT BOOT. ITS STUCK IN THE LOOP. Im soooooo 😡😡😡😡😡😡
I’m having trouble getting into the blue menu screen where it has the troubleshoot options and advanced settings.
Type the following commands and press Enter after each one:
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd
Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved
@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware i’m not sure this is the issue as it does seem to boot into the right drive. My main issue is when I try to press f8 to enter the menu to select safe mode all it says is the drives i can use or “enter setup” which takes me to bios, there is no sign of safe mode anywhere and i can’t access the command prompt.
It didn't work still stuck looping choose an option menu
