    The US have a different VP44 pump, in Australia the gear on the pump shaft has no key slot, the pump has a key slot. so one has to know that this is the case before pulling off the gear.

    I bought a new lift pump from bumper to bumper today... I installed it and put my fuel pressure Guage on the Schrader valve on the pump and it read 11 psi... isn't that kinda low??

    8:15-8:23 does anybody see smoke rolling out from under the IP? Or is it just me? Very helpful video! Bought my injectors, Headstuds, and Airdog 150 from you guys!

    You'll need to get the engine serial number. Once you have that you'll be able to tell exactly what Engine it is.

    If the vp44 is installed 180 out of time will the engine still start?

    I've got a 94 cummins that the previous owner installed a 24 valve into. What are all the ways to identify the year of the engine?

    hi, by any chance do you know, that new injection pump coming in recent year from 2005 or after doesnt require timing to be considered like old injectin pump

    Boy, some parts of the video were nice but some were terrible. Guys, how about getting some LIGHT in there so we can see whats going on? Second, you hop around from place to place, and skip things that should be mentioned. Thanks for the video but it sure can be improved upon!

    When installing the vp44 does it have to be timed like the p7100 on a 12 valve when you install it or does it matter what position the shaft is in as long as the key aligns with the gear? See I’m going to be taking off my front cover and my tappet cover to address some leaks along with a blown head gasket and I’m not familiar with the 24v very much only a 12 valve and I don’t wanna get the pump out of time if it’s possible to even get a vp44 out of time.

      I think the reason for the p0216 code is from lack of fuel from the lifter pump to the vp44 that causes the vp44 to heat up and timing goes out on vp44 thats the only timing issue other then that its all good

    you did not actually do a video of putting the pump back on/ inserting it and showing you actually mounting it. Rename the video "doing stuff before and after installing the pump"
