Nintendo won’t do any massive games that are cross Gen. I even have some slight doubts about Prine 4 being cross Gen. Nintendo knows their software will sell consoles, the Switch 2 needs games built from scratch for it, not upscale Switch games.
The DLSS would also make cross gen redundant. Why build a second version of a game when DSLL will just upscale the original version? Saves time and money and keeps games as exclusives. Cross Gen has almost no positive side to it.

Kinda like the PC mod scene. Now of course there will be games Switch 1 can't handle, but I reckon they will still be as prolific as they are now. In fact, I reckon third parties will develop for Switch 2 and upscale for next gen home consoles. For me, it seems the most economically viable way of working as opposed to having to devote resources to downscale a game to fit and risk sales on the most popular console (which Switch 2 will be!)
You are also forgetting that companies like to rely on cross gen for greedy reasons and to avoid backwards compatibility. With Switch 2 having backwards compatibility, there is no reason to have cross gen. Pokemon Z-A wont be cross gen. I'm locked in on it releasing in January or February. @@Crafty_boy70 I'm well aware of PS5 and XSX, my point stands strong. Both those systems are failing horrendously lol. Cross Gen has not helped them at all, but only hurt them.
@@Crafty_boy70 You can believe the PS5 is doing well all you want, truth is truth. Halfway or more through it's life span, and it has almost no exclusives, and 66% of it's total hardware sales came from bots and scalpers lol. Though Sony's track record shows this is par for the course, every even number system of theirs does better and every odd one does bad. PS1 while not bad, was a decent starting point. PS2 AMAZING success, PS3 total failure and Sony as a company was crippled in those years. PS4 AMAZING! PSP did amazing, then PSVita total failure. Sony always goes UP then falls flat, then goes UP then falls flat. PS6 should be a high point for them if their usual ways continue.
I think cross gen games is very likely because of lack of presence from Sony and Microsoft in Japan. That market will need at least two consoles ( Switch and Switch 2) to have great sales to make up for the blunder PS5 and Xbox Series caused there.
You failed to address that DLSS will be on Switch 2 tittles but scince the account system is the same for switch and switch 2 people will get expansion pass to get more subs. They will put dlss behind expansion pass for switch owners who have not upgraded yet
I don't see any cross gens games happening. That's not Nintendo's way. Yeah they did it twice, but it was only with Zelda, cause Zelda is Nintendo's biggest game (shy of Mario) They only did TP and and BOTW cause the original versions were promised. If the Wii U didn't fail, it would have been a Wii U only game. The Wii had nothing at launch that was a must have, so they relied on bringing TP over from the Gamecube. (Also the Gamecube, like the Wii U wasn't a success) So Nintendo has never done cross gen where the old system was successful, which the Switch was. So logically there is zero reason for any cross gen games on the new system. Nintendo has all the momentum in the industry right now, cross gen does them nothing. Just wastes time and resources.
I think we might get a few, the one I see the most possibility with is Pokemon Legends: ZA, granted we don't know a release date or even window for switch 2, we should be getting the announcement before the end of the calendar year, even thought Nintendo said physical year, I think it will be before that. We could be looking at a release between June 2025 and November 2025, I don't think it will release in 2026, way too out of date for it to be released then. But ZA is projected for Spring 2025, it wouldn't shock me if it's cross gen
Yea its so weird, also 99,99% of the playerbase that played BOTW and TOTK are tired of this Zelda world. Seems like the dumbest most Nintendo-like business decision. I hope they do it and NOBODY buys it so Nintendo starts next Gen with a reality check for their dumb decisions sometimes.

Then in the February Pokemon Presents we will see the Switch 2 Pokemon game for November 2025.
*PS5 would like to know your location*
Ps5, xsx, etc
@@Crafty_boy70 I'm well aware of PS5 and XSX, my point stands strong. Both those systems are failing horrendously lol. Cross Gen has not helped them at all, but only hurt them.
@@ItApproaches "Failing horrendously" is hyperbole of the year, especially with PS5, but yes, cross gen does significantly more harm than good.
That market will need at least two consoles ( Switch and Switch 2) to have great sales to make up for the blunder PS5 and Xbox Series caused there.
there's a full ad placement infomercial mid video, respectfully that's too much.
You failed to address that DLSS will be on Switch 2 tittles but scince the account system is the same for switch and switch 2 people will get expansion pass to get more subs. They will put dlss behind expansion pass for switch owners who have not upgraded yet
That is the what the switch 2 joycons should be and yea Metroid prime 4 is gonna be a switch 2 exclusive
I want a xenoblade 2 definitive edition for switch 2 so bad man.
Plus, it to make the mistake what Sony did throughout the 9th gen with the ps5
I think we might get a few, the one I see the most possibility with is Pokemon Legends: ZA, granted we don't know a release date or even window for switch 2, we should be getting the announcement before the end of the calendar year, even thought Nintendo said physical year, I think it will be before that. We could be looking at a release between June 2025 and November 2025, I don't think it will release in 2026, way too out of date for it to be released then. But ZA is projected for Spring 2025, it wouldn't shock me if it's cross gen
@@sylveonlover9297 You are welcome to your guess. I can't agree with it though.
SP Red for Super Paisano Red
hi AndresRestart
Why make botw on switch 2 if its backward compatible makes no sence
Yea its so weird, also 99,99% of the playerbase that played BOTW and TOTK are tired of this Zelda world.
Seems like the dumbest most Nintendo-like business decision.
I hope they do it and NOBODY buys it so Nintendo starts next Gen with a reality check for their dumb decisions sometimes.
Some good, intelligent analysis here. Really enjoyed, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
9:37 U guys see Pokémon as a game or any other series that’s either good or bad but it’s not that it’s more than that
It’s a culture and a lifestyle a living breathing world with a story and lore and characters
We form parasocial relationships with these fictional animals because we love them so much and they have so much personality and backstory
their dev time is 3-6 actually u just don’t feel it cuz they work on multiple projects simultaneously with the budget of a Disney channel movie around 15-20mil and they have to balance game release with the anime and the cards
Everyone can say pokemon should be like Zelda or xenoblade but those games don’t have an anime and a tcg they have to abide by it’s like jenga
Also they do make decisions dictated by the competitive scene
And they may or may not share resources that part I’m unsure of
Hot take:
the point of Pokémon is to appeal to the widest audience possible and that there’s something for everyone from mainline to the anime to the spin offs
Well maybe if people got into the other avenues of the franchise rather than solely the games u wouldn’t be disappointed
Since the series was designed to be symbiotic with itself and to experience every avenue together for a complete experience
U guys need to reevaluate ur priorities Visuals, frame rate, art style are irrelevant
People are too focused on superficial nonsense
let’s be real u didn’t get into the original games for the graphics
And If u didn’t play games for the graphics as a kid then why would u play them for the graphics now
Sorry u forgot what the point of Pokémon was to begin with
Pokémon is always meant to be an entry level jrpg maybe the people trying to hate on pokemon maybe they just aren’t into jrpgs
If
The lore was good
The writing was good
The music was good
The vibes were good
The messages were good
The character designs were good
That’s all you really need
The series knows what it is and its niche(by niche I mean space) and what it wants to be and there’s nothing wrong with that and it doesn’t have to be anything else
The mainstream audience doesn’t care about graphics or bugs or anything they just like to vibe
People are just trying to make it something that is isn’t
And something that doesn’t fit its style
Maybe u don’t like Pokemon just aren’t into RPGs and that’s fine dont have to use that as an excuse to be toxic
If its not ur thing just move on imo
They’re gonna do their own thing and be their own thing in their own way

Calling pokemon “lazy” is lazy they got more to do than most devs they make two games and have to be symbiotic with the rest of the series and all this other stuff
They can’t delay the game they have a symbiotic release system
The games are leashed to the anime, tcg, etc and the anime, tcg etc is leashed to the games
Tpc is constantly playing a game of jenga trying to balance each of its branches
The games are in development for 3-6 years we just don’t feel it because a lot of times they work on multiple generations at the same time they have two teams the games have a 15-20 million dollar budget
They probably share resources
Maybe about the sharing idk
They have been working on Gen 10 for a few years now
Visuals,frame rate,art style are irrelevant
People are too focused on superficial nonsense
If
The lore was good
The writing was good
The music was good
The vibes were good
The messages were good
The character designs were good
That’s all you really need
Can’t believe people still care about that frame stuff
I’m sorry people got so lost and brainwashed by the superficialities of the industry you forgot what Pokémon was originally about
And I know that the game isn’t perfect and that there’s issues
Pokémon is a franchise where the theme is friendship is magic and meeting cute and cool unique monsters
What the hell does graphics and performance have to do with those things?
Nothing if you wanna criticize a franchise criticize it on whether or not it delivered on the messages and themes it promised
Was friendship magic?
Did you meet cute and cool unique creatures?
Ok then it’s a good game
Those are what’s important to Pokémon
As the og theme said
Pokémon is about
Oh your my best friend in a world we must defend
I will travel across the land searching far and wide each pokemon to understand the power that’s inside
Our hearts so true our courage will pull us through
you teach me and I teach you”
That’s what it is about and that’s what it will always be about and if that’s what it continues to be about until the end
Then that’s a strong enough ending for me
Not sure what graphics and animation and performance has to do with that
Performance graphics those things never Mattered
You have to remember pokemon games have only been 3D since 2013 that’s pretty recent compared to other games like Zelda that have been 3D since the 90s and early 2000s so obviously they’re gonna be behind Mixed with the fact that They can’t delay the game because main console for only 5 years compared to Zelda since n64
The franchise was designed so that every aspect of it has a symbiotic relationship
The games can’t release without the anime the merch and the manga and the manga the merch and the anime can’t release without the games
And it’s about time you all understand that by now
They are doing their best trying to balance the games with the tcg and the anime
The Pokémon franchise is like a game of jenga
If you move one thing it all falls apart
They are doing the best they can sorry I’m the only one who appreciates that
Unless you want them to hypothetically release the Gen 10 anime and then wait till the anime gets to Gen 15 to release the Gen 10 games
they are still learning as they go so y’all gotta be patient and give them time to catch up
Their partnership with take two they’ll apply what they learn back into Pokémon so that’s good
You have to remember gamefreak are inexperienced with developing open world games so of course there will be some trial and error the more they work on and improve the game and do future games the better at it they’ll get
Rome wasn’t built in a day we need to be patient
Assuming we get more open world games
NOT TO MENTION ScarVi’s development was probably screwed up by the pandemic
Probably turned it upside down
And before u say just delay the game
They can’t delay the game
The franchise was designed so that every aspect of it has a symbiotic relationship
The games can’t release without the anime the merch and the manga and the manga the merch and the anime can’t release without the games

Unless you want them to hypothetically release the Gen 10 anime and then wait till the anime gets to Gen 15 to release the Gen 10 games
it’s not outdated it’s rebellious and nonconformist
The games aren’t rushed there is a schedule they abide by for symbiosis
The games and the anime and tcg are all beholden to each other
You can’t move one without ruining the groove
Unless you one gen 10 game to come out years after the gen 10 anime and have it spoiled
There is a symbiosis there
When you watch the anime it makes u wanna play the game and vice versa so they are companion pieces designed to be experienced together for a complete experience
They choose to live in their own bubble and be one of a kind and not imitate what everyone else does and they have my respect for that
the og games bugs are looked back on as charming
Give SV 20 years it’ll be the same
Running shmunning
Sure, Pokémon can have spin offs from the mainline games that further focuses on that demographic. If they can come up with a tooth brushing game for kids, they can come up with a more advanced and serious game for their older audience who supported and played Pokémon since the beginning. I do hope Pokémon knows they have a huge market that they aren’t targeting. Funky Pokémon shirts and ties for grown-ups aren’t good enough.
P.S. please edit your post. Parts repeat multiple times. 😊😊
Legends ZA will be the cross gen title. Keep in mind, Pokémon is a top tier seller. I don’t think Nintendo will risk making Prime 4 a cross gen game.
Here's a few examples.....proceeds to say the literal ONLY two times lol.
The only 2 Nintendo examples 🤣 …for now
@@AndresRestart Yes Nintendo examples, cause Nintendo doesn't do what others do.
I forgot, I was going to add this, not that anyone really cares, but nobody is talking about how Microsoft has revealed the date of their June Presentation. June 9th. (Odd as that's a Sunday?) Sony has yet to reveal the date of their next State Of Play, My guess is next week, between the 3rd and 7th. As they like to go around the same time as Xbox. And Nintendo always goes last, which would be the next week. June 13th to 17th which is what we all guess anyway. Just thought it was odd that NOBODY is talking about Microsoft's showcase date lol.
Nintendo need to make it clear that you need to buy this next console, most of the exclusives will eclipse cross gen titles I'd imagine

There are 140 million Switch consoles for anyone who wants to play Switch games. If you want to play new games, get a Switch 2.
The Switch 2 will be competing against the PS6 for most of its lifespan, so it needs to be better than the PS5 at launch. If it's not better than the PS5, how will it be better than the PS6?
Nope I’m done with switch one let’s move on already
You’re legit insane if you believe there will be a single Nintendo 1st party exclusive to Switch2 before 2028.😂

Stop saying 4k 60, its impossible
