"Don't eat the darts" The intrusive thoughts are winning.
"You're not my dad!!!!!!"
Proceeds to eat the darts......
And then he bites the dart...
impulsive thoughts, intrusive thoughts tend to be darker and go against your own moral compass
The voices…
Every line has its day, strange to think elite is finally gone, but then so was og yellow nstrike
At least you were able to use elite style ammo with the old blasters, try using these darts in an elite blaster
The future is now old man
@@RoundBear-re9kd Dont elite darts suck?
@@meganek0597he said elite style aka 50 cal foam darts
@@meganek0597 yeah but at least you could use waffleheads
I just call it a rotary/chain magazine since its a box magazine which stores ammo with a chain.
I prefer Beltazine
Drac is being so nice to Hasbro in this video. Is it bcause he met the design team for this launch? Nerf should have been making personal connections with the hobby a long time ago.
as a dad who has loaded a lot of darts into magazines, the more darts in the mag the faster the darts are sent out of the barrel... the 8-14 age group typically has not learned good trigger control. my biggest concern is dart cost versus how sturdy/lifespan they have, not factoring common issues like being lost and pet destroyed. I will be interested to see dart breakdowns and reviews.
It's always so satisfying to see niche partitioning in action. Dart zone has moved from bargain brand up to creating performance blasters at a higher quality and price point for an older audience, while nerf has gone back to what works in making blasters for a younger audience.
The one thing that had me excited about this one was the AEB possibility. But not even slam fire. :gulp:
The 3D community will come in clutch. Hopefully with typical short darts. Not these fonky weird s'medium darts
It does have slamfire though?
Yeah it does
@@captainbozo01no it doesn’t what are you talking about
It has awkward, lock-ridden slamfire
Can't wait to see these at Ollie's En Masse
I've come to refer to the Mag on the Infinite as a Tread Mag. Because it literally works like the Treads on a Tank or Tractor
Nerf Dissapointment 3.0
First mod for this is going to be a slam fire conversion. And then a half-dart conversion :P Because with the power and capacity this could be turned into a close-quarters monster.
Edit - though it depends on if it's screwed together or uses the unholy combo of tabs and glue.
Chain + Drum = Chrum
Damn, I can't wait to mod this to take half-darts lol
That huge drum only holds 40x? Whole thing looks cheap. Unless these darts are cheaper or more durable they’re useless. They should have just come out with a better Elite size dart.
It'll be weird to. The darts are slightly thicker the normal, so the drum wont work, they'd fall out. Youd have to make a totally different loading system for them.
@@jasonmullin3522 It would be pretty easy to make inserts for the belt to accommodate the smaller darts.
@@mattorama Might be able to, if you want to. Point becomes, when is it more work to do then to just use something else. You can make most anything do something else if you add or take away or tweak. Do it for the love of the mods if thats something you enjoy, most will just put it down and go to something else
Welcom has done a break down on video and this has 2 large holes so it is made to fire slower on purpose
MODDERS!! MAKE A MODDING TUTORIAL TO GIVE THIS SLAM FIRE, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!
Hmm very interesting! Im def not a fan of Hasbro trying to edge out 3rd party darts with the nub, but it is interesting to see they've decided to up their fps from 70. I also kind of dig the chain drum and i think the shells for this line are cool. Not something im want to buy at full price but give it a year and im sure you'll be able to find a bunch at thrift stores or fb marketplace and then ill have fun tearing it a part lol
They're probably gonna abandon this series just like they did with ultra. Once third parties were able to make off brand ultra darts they got salty
@bigdapramirez6157 I could see them trying to stick this one out! Granted, I think it's a bad idea that won't work for them, but I work in marketing as a product owner. And if their dart sales have taken a big enough hit, they definitely want to pivot to something that will be exclusive so they can make some quick cash but once 3rd parties start making them I'm curious to see what they do. I think the nerf brand isn't used to the competition that xshot and dartzone are bringing so they are reaching for anything to try to keep them up
@@kailebdv my guess is they'll do the same thing they did with ultra: abandon it once their short term revenue is burnt up. As for their poor dart sales they only have themselves to blame. They've continued to sell overpriced elite darts in a world where waffle head and half length darts are the new standard and elites are long obsolete. Hasbro has yet again chosen short term profit over their own reputation which does nothing but make their opposition more appealing to buyers
This is definitely the best looking of the new wave, but not having flywheels or slam fire is odd
Yeah def seems like walcolm got a lemon for his infinite. Yours seems to be performing much better. Very interested to see where the darts AND the blaster end up.
Looks about identical to me. Same chrony numbers, same missing entirely half the time at the range.
Hardly. Drac's darts were vearing all over the place as well.
You saw where ultra ended up. There's quite literally no reason to buy into a new ecosystem of DRM darts. None. If you're new to the hobby, it's a waste of money because you aren't able to scavenge ammo at games and wars and you are stuck with however much ammo you bought. If you are already an established player, there's no reason to because you already have a collection of blasters that most likely all take the same ammo.
Hasbro did this because they were tired of getting one upped by the competition and somehow thought this is the way going forward
> where the darts and blaster end up
Goodwill, most likely.
I think the DRM is going to stop exactly no one, but the low cost, sealed breach (however sloppily) and the box chain magazine are a nice combo overall. I just find the dart choice bizarre on all fronts. The shots are very inconsistent still despite being better than Elite darts.
It's stopping me
@@MasterKydis by the DRM stopping exactly no one I mean we're going to find ways, as a community, to overcome the dart DRM very quickly to permit the use of other ammo types, like half-length darts, just like we did with Ultra.
The Nerf Infinite is a cool blaster for sure, but as far as high capacity non-short dart blasters go I'm not sure it dethrones the Adventure Force Villainator. They're hitting about the same velocity and have the same drum capacity, but from what I'm seeing in the firing footage I can't help but feel like the standard full length Dart Zone waffle head darts fly straighter and further than the new N-Series darts. Plus it's a little difficult to scavenge reload when you're running proprietary darts.
And you can buy separate Villainator drums, making reloading a breeze while the Infinite has no mags available separately and inaccurate ammo.
did drac sell out to hasbro
Every review so far has been weirdly positive for a product not compatible with anything currently out. I'm guessing the reviewers signed something saying they won't trash it as a requirement to do the early review/visit HQ
I'm sorry, but why would I spend 40 on a blaster that I can't use any other ammo type with, when for 20 dollars cheaper I can get a vilinator with the same compacity, better performance, slam fire AND I can use the ammo I already have?
Call me a DZ cultist all you want, but there's literally no reason to buy into an entirely new ecosystem when the dart the ecosystem is built around isn't as good as other options and can only be used within that ecosystem.
You won't, because this line isn't geared towards you.
@@Mainz_1901 Who the hell is this geared to then? Obviously not hobbyists and I wouldn't even say kids because they can't use the darts they already have.
I love all your unboxing videos
Ah, the 40-pump Chump arrives
Best name I've heard for it! This should be pinned!
According to WalcomS7's review the Infinite DOES have slamfire, it just has so many locks and so much mechanical slop that it feels like it's not supposed to have slamfire.
So Nerf saw the AA-12 and went: "Hell yeah"
And then the accountants saw the full-auto function and said "absolutely not."
Ive never seen a magazine with a frunk before
So I have to admit I'm a sucker for high capacity springers, and this definitely has my attention. We'll see if it has my money, I've not been too happy with Hasbro of late across several of their product lines....
I hear by declare these darts as carrot darts
god damn this new line has some interesting looking blasters i really dig the aesthetics
The lower fps and high capacity is Ideal for hvz, it's a shame they haven't gone full send on half darts and that it doesn't have slamfire
Hard pass, give me a DZ Villainator
Looks like super soaker guns
This ones not for me, but would work well with a custom sling....
dragazine? chumag? drain? chum? drag? yes. it's all those things.
First, the quick 16, then the raider, then the rampage, then the mediator, and now the infinite
Strange thing to say, but this could actually use an extra (or instead) a half-capacity mag to keep somewhat more realistic look.
"a drain? Chum?" What about chainozine?
Did Ultra teach them nothing?
It taught them to make a better dart, which they did.
@@Andygriff1975 That works with nothing other than this new line of blasters. Just like Ultra. That line didnt last very long. How is this different?
@@Fousticle I was speaking specifically to your comment about what did Nerf learn regarding Ultra. I believe Nerf has tried to release a more accurate new dart. The weight, size and surface area of the dart leading to better flight in the air. I didn't say it was a good idea. There is a major difference though in Ultra and N Series. Ultra was an expansion beyond the main Elite dart lines. N Series is meant to replace Elite darts. In that regard, N Series may be more disappointing than Ultra ever was because it means the end to new Elite blasters like the Double Punch, Ranger, Trailblazer or MotoBlitz.
@@Andygriff1975 Don't forget Hyper too. I forget that line so hard I had to look it up again. Hyper was there rival replace, but bombed so hard its forgot in the "new line of ammo" talk
Find it werid your ok with this dart drm, but hates the ultra darts. These may be better, but it still mean people not being able to use there old full or half lenght. You showed they where shorter, but i didnt hear anything about the fact there thicker. Only by a few millimeters, but enught that theyll never work with or take other ammo.
These are a marked improvement over elite, that, while less suitable for modding, give children a better play experience. Ultra was marketed as the greatest performance innovation of all time and I just cant stand being lied to so blatantly. I look forward to taking these apart and seeing where they can go. Everything is relative I suppose
@LordDraconical they aren't though. A dart that is only compatible with one type of blaster will never be better than something universal. This feels like a shady corporate level of dishonesty with everyone talking about how "awesome" and "much better" these darts are than elites. They are both still terrible darts, but st least elites gave you scavenge potential at games. This is another failed attempt by hasbro to stay relevant by trying to reinvent something that doesn't need to be reinvented
@@LordDraconical Guess it'll come down to how much better they are. There asking people to forgo everything they already own and most other people have. Unless they market them, support the line heavily and price everything near or below there competitors, I feel that this will fail like ultra and hyper. I work at Walmart, see them most days, and honestly had to look up the hyper series. I forgot them that badly. I nerf from bargain bins and used stores, But the last new ones I've bought have been competitors. Dart Zone Max, Zuru X-shot Lock and Chaos Faze Respawn, Adventure Force Villaniator and Pro's. Even used, never touching an Ultra or Hyper, and unlikely this series either.
But are the new darts compatible with old guns?
How hard is it to add n strike barrel ??
I have not watched drac for a long time now but he seemed to be a salesman vibe now
It's relatively good ....sorta' ....kinda'....maybe !😂
Do the darts taste good?
This thing looks like it was made for Shaq, 😂 Big asf!
I actually has slam fire it is just that it has a ratchet in the pump😅
This review sounds hella paid for ngl. I don't remember you pulling this many punches with Nerf/Hasbro ever. These darts aren't more accurate, faster, or durable than short darts. The blasters are extremely Fine as an upgrade to Elite. And the whole thing only exists to enforce an ecosystem that is inherently anti-consumer, all because they can't face the hobby that they themselves created.
This thing has HvZ written all over it.
can we see the guts for mod potential?
ObsElite.
Of the bat, for only $40, im kind of proud of hasbro for releasing a new thing and ammo, and their flagship is pretty nicely priced
Hi nerf
I want to see someone make a sten gun with these new mags
Its a chain blaster drac
Failed ammo type #4
Boxbelt..?
Battle Belt
Esa nerf cuando sale
What I think? What a let-down. Seriously.
I wonder how much of an impact the performance of the Stryfe X effected Hasbro’s decision to bring forward a new line aimed at that younger consumer bracket. It feels like quickly fell behind in the 14+ market, decided to finally test the waters with a “safe” option in the Stryfe X to see if they should really start investing into that demographic, and then ditched that demographic entirely when they weren’t able to flood the market with an overpriced pre-modded stryfe.
Nerf is like Disney. They are the major force in Blastersand they do the biggest useless crap.
The darts aren't the only thing thats hollow on the inside
i wont be buying in
honestly, I think it looks like hot garbage.
don't like the look either. Line look "toy blaster" and not in a cool way. Less like a flagship and more like the junior nerf line
Another piece of crap. Way to go nerf! We cant wait to see more garbage come out! Thank you for providing us with these awesome new "pro blasters" I bet these are definitely going to change the "Dart" game forever. Really engineered something new that everyone is going to change to for sure. Looks like short darts are going out of business soon because of what awesome engineering you guys did. Thank you for yet overhyping all these low quality blasters once again, just like you have always done the past 2 years. That 70-80 FPS cap isnt gonna cut it for 2024. Bring up your standards Hasbro.
، 1
I get this is in the 8+ category but really hasbro u make a blaster and give enough darts to load the Willy Wonka chain mag 2 times with darts nobody that has any interest as a hobbyist is ever gonna use come on man
NNNNNNNN
I think you are being way too kind to Hasbro. Instead of leaning into half-darts, which is where the rest of the hobby has gone, and is going, they give us this solution that is looking for a problem. I think it just made my complete departure from Hasbro a certainty. I'm done with this crap. This is a money grab, plain and simple, and as far as I'm concerned, it's DOA.
They should've made these things take half lengths instead of another proprietary ammo type.
Hasbro isn't aiming for the hobby with this. Hasbro goes for the large general audience and doesn't "need" this community. Of course it's a money grab, that's the point of a large corporate business lol
@@BobololoThank you, Captain Obvious, for that brilliant assertion. Given the hoards of other blaster brands that currently use elite style darts, as well as the vast majority of Nerf brand blasters that do, I think Hasbro may have just made a huge blunder with this, but only time will tell.
@@IIDASHIIcalling them captain obvious and not the OP who stated an obvious claim as well is crazy. Also it clearly isn't obvious the way the nerf community keeps implying that this line was ever geared towards them lol, that's what the X line is
Really? The amount of plastic to have slamfire is negligible. Probably around what it costs to paint both.... oh yeah its Hasbruh. N(ah) Series.
fucking huge. what wasnthe problem with drum mags?
