Overheating is kind of a problem. In 4k24 10bit 4:2:2 XAVC 140mbits it overheated on me one time with high temp setting, flipped out screen and open battery door, but that was after 30 min of constant recording in a 29°c room. It's always uncomfortably hot tho, when you touch the body. The freezing is actually a problem, it sometimes happened 4-5 times in 4 weeks of ownership. It seems to only happen when closing the screen (with the screen inside), leaving it on and then pressing the shutter button to turn it on before flipping the screen back out. The HDMI Door is just sooo weird, especially when trying to manual focus or when rigging it out with side grips. Even with those issues coming up sometimes, it's kind of the perfect camera for me as a full-time hybrid shooter. Thinking about adding an FX3 to my kit tho, for those longer more video focused sessions

Thanks Aaron! Overheating isnt that common but really for people who shoot long interviews, it's something to look out for! I have managed to do a single 1hr long talking head though at 4k and it didn't overheat!

Didn't get a A7IV yet because I'm using fully equipped BMPCC4k and I'm waiting for a good time to switch to Sony, but these bottlenecks that you mention could really annoy me. On a professional set you have no time for problems like these you mentioned. Love your content man, keep it up

Victor to be honest with you when it comes to the Sony A74 I see it as a Super 35mm camera meets full frame camera with 10 bit and excellent autofocus. That's is how I would use it

@@VictorLaforteza I haven’t really taken the A7IV for any long video shoots yet so I have had no experience with the heating but I have had it freeze up on me once where I had to restart it, kinda a bummer but we work around that
Thanks for a great, unbiased insight into life with the A7IV. Personally I don't think it's as a well built as the A7III. I have experienced the overheating issue and had to change to the A7III but not experienced any glitches or slow EVF. However being a photographer first and videographer second, I would lose doors for the ports and the articulating screen. Those two things make it impossible to add a decent L-Bracket.
a quirk I noticed was when I first shot test shots it shot in 1080p, instead of full resolution, seems like a weird bug. never happen again, but I changed from compressed raw to uncompressed + jpg, it has not happen again. Not sure if I did anything wrong.

I save for 11 months before I could afford this camera. Whatever the case, I am grateful to own something that packs a bigger punch than my A7iii.
a thing I noticed first when I set it to 60P the camera booted slow, but after charming more settings, finishing setup, many reboots, now it does boot slowly with ''running in..... mode'' screen I forgot what it's called. But I don't get that screen anymore. Maybe I fixed it by enabling the display information. I don't know. I don't know which combo of settings or actions made it go away. Maybe it's something to do with battery charge. Seems like I got around the sRGB/RGB bug too, not sure why it works now. But seems to be working.
Mine freezes and the focus (in MF and AF) does not work sometimes.

I find it okay! Just make sure to tuck in those elbows to get a more stable shots with just the grip! If you look at Alen Palander's new photography videos, I shot all of those handheld just the camera and no attachments!

A few of these issues I’ve not encountered with my A7IV
I shot a full wedding day yesterday (12 hours) and I only used 1 and a half batteries and I was shooting 4K 10 bit all day and I recorded 400 clips

Lucky! Yeah my camera is up to date with the latest firmware but I haven’t fully tested it out since. I’ve been using the fx3 a lot lately
Did you used long exposure ? Im my case I get colour banding and posterization image.

Jumping ship to Sony next year. I wanted to try the A7RV before I settle in but my question is on the EVF/LCD. I'm coming from an X-T3 which has around the same dots as the A7IV. Would I be missing out a lot if I don't get the A7RV? Or is it not that big of a difference until you try it out and then you can't go back. $1400 is a lot and I could be getting another lens with that but I can always save up another $1400 I'm not sure I'll buy another body anytime soon. Hey! Do you do more photos or videos? Or about the same? I find the huge price jump for just extra features on the A7RV is too much. I personally haven't tried the A7RV so I can't say much about it but the A7IV EVF on video is laggy it only catches up on 120fps but the LCD is very smooth on every frame rate. The EVF with photo is excellent and have no issues with it. Overall the A7IV has been a true hybrid for me. If you want some speed, the a9 or a1 might be on par but that's a lot more money lol

GH5 / GH6 if you don’t need AF. The ibis is next level and it’s amazing value! You could also look at the a7iii. Honestly, 10 bit is a lot but I’ve shot so many good videos on the a7iii that it’s hard to pass on!

Im in love with my a7iv! The freezing issue for me was only my camera, so thats fine now Lol
I used mine to film a wedding and was worried about overheating. It was over 80° f with a ton of humidity. I didn’t get any overheating. I used the Mieke battery grip though so that may have helped a little. I shot for probably 3 hours with off and on recording and about 20 minutes for the ceremony. Not even a heat symbol.
I've only had mine overheat for an 8 hours shoot under the sun. off and on but at around hour 7 it overheated. The camera gets hot though on normal use even if it doesn't overheat :/

I have A7IV and want a second video camera. Should I go with FX3 or FX30? I also use two APS-C lens on A7IV with super 35 mode enabled.
Both can work! But the fx30 is really a good alternative when you’re in a budget especially if you already have two apsc lenses
If you use Sony V90 card or cfespress type A card, does it eleminate the freezing issue??
Not quite sure. It was switching from video to photo mode that was doing the issue
I have the a7iv and honestly dont experience these issues u have experienced I feel maybe there are a few bad batches
For me it only froze when the high temp mode was off, it shut down the screen and view finder, I guess that can be called freeze, as the camera was rendered useless until reboot, not even switching to photo mode solved it. But turning on high temp mode solved it. I could not handle streaming mode more than about a minute, connected as a webcam, until I turned on high temp mode. never had it freeze otherwise. I have 1.11 firmware. But a quirk I noticed is settings refused to stay set, so had to setup raw settings over again, but once I did it stuck. but for some reason RGB turned into sRGB, so had to set it back to RGB.
But I got mine used fro ma dealer, was a great deal. Nice to shoot on a camera finally after years of smartphone.

I recently got the a7iv as well, and planning to get the new macbook pro 14 too.
Ive read that the arw and video files are not compatible with the OS yet.
If so, have you found a workaround for this?
Arw you won’t get native previews on Mac. Im able to view my video files though. My workaround is simply using my program of choice as a media manager/viewer then straight into edit. That way I have one place to see and manage everything. Hope that helps! Any more questions, feel free to ask :)

So far I have not experienced any temperature issues. I have had the camera for two months and I live in Argentina, (at the moment it is winter). For the first time I had the freezing problem, just a few days after updating the firmware. Do you think they will fix it in a future update?

I had that issue, it's now for repair on sony. They are changing the board.
The freezes are a known defect with this camera. I had lock-ups (and other issues) and finally contacted Sony support. The agreed pretty quickly after I outlined my problems … and my camera is now getting repaired. Here’s the scary part > I have read that others got their camera back with a brand new control board! This is a MAJOR defect. If you have issues, get your camera into the repair center before it hits the one year warranty limit.

The other major problem you might see is failure to ‘recognize’ a lens. The viewfinder+screen are both dark and the aperture will read as ‘-‘. I could only get an image by turning the ISO up to 20,000, so not a good or long-term solution. The fix required taking the lens off, removing the battery, and usually several repeats before it would to work correctly. This even happened with my Sony G-Master lens! So, definitely a camera issue and not the lens.

I’ve never had it serviced but so far I’ve only had one freezing moment again and no more overheating at all even on long recording times (1-2 hours continuous shooting)
A7IV doesn't have temperature control to set high that you can do on a7iii or A7sIII?
Yes, it does but it's not related since it just ups the threshold when the camera needs to turn off for actual overheating. The camera heats up more than usual even when not recording and it makes it uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time.
How many shootings did you have after firmware update to 1.10? Is it stable? Thank you
Haven't updated it yet but happy to say that I haven't encountered any more freezing since this video. Still the camera gets warm but doesn't really overheat.
what did you find for tripod that works best for this camera
ulanzi carbon fibre tripod! or they also have ones around $100 range
Hot camera and won't last through 1 hour talking heads. Definitely have to change the heat tolerance settings from the default , and open up the LCD door to even get over 30 minutes of runtime. I never use the EVF even though I do both stills and video. Haven't had any random freezing issues at all.
My footages also turns portrait mode sometimes.. does it happen to u?
Yes when the gyro thinks you’re shooting vertical it’ll switch… no current setting to turn it off :(
Can't complain about the a7IV since I upgraded from the a6300, except for the heat the a7IV produces (but it didn't overheat on me yet)
Yeah, I've only had it overheat once on long shoot day during a very hot day. Just a warm camera overall! lol weird to get used to it.
Does the camera have front focus issues for photography after 1.1 update?

Yes! It could be a bad batch tbh. Others have similar issues and others don’t.

Hi , I am from India and my A7iv works superb no overheating or lag or glitchy screen issues yet , record time over 1hr with 4k 10bit 4.2.0 in 35-40 degrees here yes camera gets hot but never showed heating sign or shutoff on me, and also i didnt get sd card with the box just the camera with kit and charger and other things. *Heard that sony discontinued sd card due to overheating issues. Maybe previous a7iv batches has problems i guess. Nice video tho bro :)
That’s really good to hear! I’ve only had it over heat once tbh. Long day shooting direct Sun but shooting talking heads are usually 1-2 hrs straight and it can definitely keep up!

@@RensKapoor It works great for me so far , but it also depends on how much you want to shoot in one go (talking about overheating). If you shoot above 30min+ (continuous shooting) its obviously gonna get hot but it won't popup the overheating warning untill atleast above 1hr of shooting. Sure if you can afford it go for it (A7iv) but if you just wanna use for talking head and photography you don't need to upgrade.
I use it for vlogs/shortfilms/photography & its a beast.

Thanks for the video. I bought the mk4 day 1 and it certainly feels lacking refinements. Coming from the A850 (my previous ancient workhorse) and the A73 (borrowed from a friend from time to time), I had high expectations for the A7IV and it fell short in some regards.
I wish they didn't skimp out on some of these stuff! But I guess it keep it at a decent price point they had to make some cutbacks.
i really love the a7IV, the only thing that bothers me is the the crop in the 4k60, but thats not a quirk is more of a "want"

Dang that’s a bummer to hear these problems. I was thinking of picking up the a7iv for video but maybe it’ll be worth it to save up more for the fx3. I was hoping to rig out the a7iv with a battery grip and a full cage with a ninja v. But if the hdmi port door hinges out like that I don’t think putting a cage on it would work😢
Yeah, it's these little nuances that pushes me to shoot client work with the fx3 even more. Less stress during the shoot and focused more on production. The HDMI door still works on A7IV specific cages but it's just ugly looking and easy pushes the hdmi cable (HDMI clamps aren't an option too because of this door hinge....)

My first issue was, when it overheated while browsing menu for around 1 hour, just after I receive it... Then it was better in every way.
My A7iv is 10 months old and it freezes too. I may take 100 pictures in a day and the camera will freeze about 3 times. I have to remove the battery to reset the camera.
There seem to be a bad batch in the beginning. Document all your findings if you can and send it through sony support while its under warranty
Temperature is a rare issue. Even if it is very hot, the camera works smoothly. But it's not nice to have the camera body very hot.🔥

Switching from the lcd to evf is auto but it sometimes doesn't happen or it takes a few seconds..

I have A7R2 and 100% of the time shoot via EVF . Does this camera has worse Evf? A7R2 is great and never lags.
Not quite sure if the a7rii has better EVF I’m thinking the a7iv would have maybe a better one
I expected sony add tap to shot feature on this camera like canon. I can focus on touch screen but it doesn't take a photo ! I still have to press the shutter button🤦🏽♂️

Are any of these fixed as of now? I have a sponsor that wants to buy me a new camera I currently have a Canon T7i which is a beginner camera. I have budget of $2500 and I figured yeah the A7IV should be a huge upgrade from my canon but I want to make sure this is the love. I live in Florida with 90° constant weather and rain. I just want to know if maybe the Sony A7IV is the move or maybe try for the Canon R7
Not really, still gets super warm but it never overheats on me. I've heard some people in the hottest humid weather they still have good performance out of it. The freezing stuff never occurred again fortunately but I've had reports that it relates to switching from photo to video and you just have to take out the battery to restart the camera.
@@VictorLaforteza I’m a photographer all day. I don’t really do video cause it’s not my forte. All the reviews I try to find are always on video rather than photo

Nope! 1080 is a much smaller file to process for the a7iv so it’s all good :)

I think the problem of battery life may not due to the 10bit422, cause even when the camera not shooting, for example when I was setting the menu button(just play with the menu screen), the battery life still running out unbelievable fast!
I totally forgot about that... I do experience that too! I have no idea why this thing heats up even in standby mode...

Amongst all the problems.... I definitely face the Freezing problem a lot more worse than others.. Most of the time its during burst shoots. My camera is unable to write as fast a it needs to be.. And that restarting definitely can lead to missing any important ceremony or rituals🙃

I have experienced some of those issues as well. What I’ve had recently happen was I turn it on and the screen remained black. I toggled power and nothing. I got the info that’s normally on the screen but no actually preview. I popped the battery and nothing. Waited a few mins and it was working like normal. Very weird.
I had a canon r6 before this and the lcd and EVF were insanely better. The a7iv is mainly my b cam to my a7siii now. My Fuji x100f has taken over as a photos camera mostly because I don’t really like what I’m getting out of the Sony plus I don’t have to edit the Fuji pics lol
I sometimes use the R5 for photography and honestly the EVF is just miles ahead of sony lol ya it's really good as a b cam but sometimes there's just reliability issues that you have to worry about in while youre working if you make it as an a cam... Don't get me started with fuji... lol I want to try them out!!

mine isnt recognized by sony's updating softwere, even tho my PC detects it right away, extremely annoying. I just got it, and I didn't really had the chance to shoot with it, but from my limited hands on it's miles ahead of a7III in user experience. I used to shoot on a Nikon Z6, and I loved it, but when I started shooting wedding films, I switched to sony because of the 10x times cheaper cards, and I hated the A7III for the whole year I used it - terrible EVF, terrible screen, terrible menu, terrible ergonomic, way worse IBIS, worse colors (imo), but when I got the IV, I was like "yeah, that one works". Now the only thing I am still missing from the Z6 is the physical button that switches between the EVF and LCD, but I can live without it, and I havent checked if it can be mapped on a custom button yet (a7III couldn't).
I have a7 IV and i haven't experienced overheat (i even recorded some videos in Sahara desert), but yeah camera was HOT.
No freezing yet too.
You can setup EVF resolution and refresh rate in settings if you want, but you can adjust only one of these at once, so you will have better resolution or refresh rate.
RIGHT!!! It gets hot and like come on, its hot out i dont want to hold a heater on my hands while shooting lol could be good in the winter though ;) I have setup the EVF to high and better refresh rate but it just isnt as good as the a7siii's and that is a video centric camera... I think they really just missed the spot on the a7iv lol

Blimey I’m glad I didn’t watch this before buying, I wouldn’t have! Touch wood had none of these problems, I find the EVF fine, the battery fine too. Maybe I don’t push mine as hard as you.
One thing about the evf, you can change resolution if you want high detail or fast refresh rate….
Yes but it’s still not as good as the a7siii’s. Doesn’t make sense that you need a better evf on a video centric camera than a truly hybrid camera.
@@VictorLaforteza buy also one A7s3 or two! I have both the S3 and A4. And compared to the A4 yes the viewfinder on S3 are better.
that and it's not a bad evf it's literally third place. Canon or nikon don't have "better evfs", they're all made by sony. nikon flagship z9 has the same evf as a7iv. The eos r5 and r3 has a bit of a bump from 3.7m dot to 5.7m dot (same evf as sony a7r4). First place is sony a1, siii and a7r5 at 9m dot.
The 1st issue made me sell mine. It just gets warm while changing settings only. Its such a hoooot camera. I couldnt take it. THe a7iii doesnt get hot at all. This one in 5 mins its just hot. Also the battery life was so annoyingly bad. I leave batteries in and it just draings it. I charged my 3 a7iii batteries like once every 2 weeks. This one every 3 days. While not doing much. I sold it and am using my a7iii. User experience is a big thing and I couldnt stand the heat and dying batteries
user experience definitely is a big factor! It's unfortunate but I hope it just gets improved in the next few iterations of it!
It's incredible that we only have to deal with so little negatives. While it can always get better, it is truly a great camera to have.

After asking my client to buy this and shooting with it for 1month I knew it wasn’t the camera for me. I do events and I need my camera to stay on for minimum of 2-3 hours
its definitely not for everyone! especially events!

I guess you are taking it into a monolithic perspective of VIDEO shooting, mind you although it’s a multipurpose camera, it’s main job is to capture stil image than motion. For videography you may face those issues cause the camera is not designed as a primary tool for that purpose.
I use it as a hybrid but I do video more than photos. It’s amazing for photos so why would I include any problem with photos when it doesn’t exist? It’s my b-cam and I still love using it no matter the quirks are and I did mention that.
Yeah the hdmi door is really annoying and also the built in screen’s color are different with the evf

Sony likes to roll out a raw product. this is far from the Sony that we remember from childhood. As for the cameras, that's a whole other story. take a fuji crop and it will just gobble up the love of Sony a6000 series. for convenience, ergonomics, quality of materials and everything else. take a normal mirrorless camera from nikon or canon and you will never want to go back to sony again. Sony is like a Ferrari. on the paper. in fact, all the power that the company claims is leveled by the disgusting build quality, raw software, terrible display and the same viewfinder that cannot be used without tears, terrible ergonomics when you can’t normally take the camera in your hand and your knuckles rest against the lenses. overheating, sun blind (read real forums and reviews, how much there was a cry for this in the same a7mark3) and a bunch of other problems. if you are still thinking about what to buy - take anything but not dormouse I tell you as a person who has used all the cameras. because I wanted to understand "what is the magic of Sony." and Sony's magic is simple - aggressive marketing and PR. buying up all famous bloggers. about sleepyheads you will crack from each iron and in 90% of cases it will be a lick. you will hear almost nothing about the same nikon or canon in the general stream of hype noise. and the newbies are into it. and they take it and then the secondary is filled up with these dormouse. and services too. and people can no longer admit to themselves that they spent a lot of money on a piece of shit, they cannot admit to themselves psychologically. what can I say that they confess to others. if you need a workhorse - take nikon and canon. if you want to be "in trend" and "like everyone else" take Sony. But then don't say I didn't warn you. go to the rental and try it yourself. and you will understand everything yourself.
The EVF is not bad at all, it is great. It shares the same EVF as nikons flagship z9, canon r6, r6mkii. There are only two EVFs better and thats the 5.7m dot evf found in eos r5,r3 and in sony a7r4, and then the 9m dot found in only sony a1, siii and a7r5. Sony makes the evfs so they reserve the best one for themselves.
No idea how you can find the evf laggy, it's 60fps minimum and 120fps optionally. No other evfs besides like the A1 go any higher and realistically once you're at 60 it's smooth.
Also when you say the evf is much better on canon or nikon, which one? R6 has the same/ very similar resolution. R5 is a bit better. Sony A1 and siii have the best evf on the market which is a bit less than 3x the resolution of the a7iv / eos r6.
Nikon z6 z7 z6ii and z7ii all have the same class of EVF as the a7iv and eos r6. (3.7m dot)
So when you say 'if you've had better evf before like canon or nikon' which cameras are you referencing? Eos r3? and the Nikon z9? Actually no I just checked and the nikon flagship, z9 has the same resolution EVF as the a7iv. (3.7m dot)
I mean I suppose it's possible that the actual render resolution on sony cameras is lower in the evf than the evf is capable of? As in like if you have a 4k monitor but you run it at 1080p. But I doubt that.
Sony likely makes all the oled EVF's anyway as they're literally all the exact same resolutions across the market. Canon r5 has the same resolution evf as the a7riv and the mid range cameras all have that 3.69m dot evf.
The main point of it is why would they put a better evf on a video centric camera versus a dedicated hybrid camera? I personally find canon r5 to be a much better evf than the a7iv. You can’t say a 600hp Porsche is the same as a 600hp Chevrolet same as you can’t say a 33mp from canon reacts the same way as a 33mp from Sony. You can have the same 4k monitor but if your cpu is slow, the 60fps playback can be laggy. If we’re only talking about resolution, sure it’s the same as many others but the way it translates is can be different. It can be more responsive or a bit slower.
Coming from an a7iii and siii with a side of r5 and z9, the a7iv just isn’t there. That’s my opinion only. If you have a different experience with it, happy for you. Overall, I still love the a7iv despite the things I personally don’t like about it.

a1 siii and a7r5 have the best evf because they’re Sonys most expensive bodies, they cost double or even more than double that of the a7iv.
It’s feature segmentation though obviously I wish Sony would just put the top EVF in every camera at every price point. The a7iv already does so much of what a1 and siii do, so if it even had the same evf I suppose Sony would feel it’s too good.
Yeah I wish the a7iv had the best evf on the market too, but calling it a bad evf is not fair considering it’s third best. Especially considering you mentioned Nikons being better when Nikons most expensive and best camera shares the exact same Evf.
And no, the evf isn’t laggy on the Sony bodies, it’s the same refresh rate as every other camera.
@@definingslawek4731 I'm not saying it's completely sluggish but I could see a difference. Again, you can have the same refresh rate but if the processor is slow(er), that has an impact to it. The other Sony bodies are good just not the a7iv compared to the best. Preference matters and it's up to everyone else if they want to agree or disagree. I'm not gonna keep comparing specs when I'm only sharing my experience with these cameras. It's not a BAD camera. It's amazing but obviously there are little nuances others aren't fond of.

:O i did encounter that a few times on the ZV-E10. I was changing the settings and boom... frozen. not sure why
No offence to Sony fan boys, but most of the points you mentioned are those making the lumix s5 a success for the buck. I got a body at about £1400, and apart from the autofocus "issue" which is over emplified in my opinion, due to past models, that camera is a real Swiss army knife for both stills and videos.
Honestly, if Lumix has Sony AF it would be taking over the whole market at a great price with great image quality. Sony’s AF is a great tool but definitely not needed by most.
the reason the s5 is so cheap in comparison to canon/nikon/sony rivals is because it lacks autofocus. (phase detect)
if you are willing to work around that which you clearly are, then it presents insane value. The open gate shooting mode is amazing and I wish I had it on my a7iv or that other camera companies offered it in general besides gopro and panasonic.
The camera does not get that hot; you are exaggerating. Mine has never frozen and I use it every week for events. The door is definitely annoying and a bad design. I never use the evf.
I’m not exaggerating, read the other comments. Also every copy of the camera is different. Some warms up real bad, some are okay.

Did you watch the video? I mention that I have an FX3 and I use this as a b cam. I wanted to share to people if they want the a7iv as an a cam then they might experience these issues. You don’t have to be snobbish about it when people want try things and if products can do said things.

How do you buy the wrong camera? 😂 I’m pretty sure it’s the same one for all the a7iv unless they did a recent product change but I highly doubt they changed the manufacturing design. Even the a7siii has the same hdmi door lol

Dude the A7IV looks like such a good camera, every now and then I feel like I shouldn't have got the fx3 and bought some glass with the cash I would save, but this makes me feel better about my decision 😂

i don't understand the point. the sony a7iv is not meant to be a pro video camera ITS A HYBRID! is this what we do now complain and make videos about a CAMERA THAT'S NOT BUILD FOR VIDEOOGRAPHERS
The point is to see if it’s okay for video? You do know that this thing heats up a lot even just on menu? Look at the a7iii, it’s a great hybrid but a lot of people used it as a video camera with almost no flaws. Some people can’t afford to have two bodies so they’re going to look at the a7iv similarly like the a7iii but better. I even touched on the EVF being worse than the a7siii when it’s supposed to be a HYBRID.
So, you skipped like the most obvious weaknesses, that everyone else even referenced to, so let me give you the list:
- Menu, finding things in the menu is cancer
- Screen, the screens resolution is so bad i am considering buying an extra mobile usb-c screen or connecting it to my laptop or phone for professional shoots, hell i cant see shit on y sunny day so i view my pictures through the view finder!
- SD-Card (big impact coming from aps-c cameras), the SD-Cards you need are 150 m/s Write speed, now unfortunately these SD-Cards are incredibly expensive
- Lenses, Sony sells very expensive and quality wise less sophisticated lenses than tamron or sigma, sure you canuse a converter for Sony cameras and just use cheaper lenses, but i find it hard ot believe that Sony hasnt introduced better and more affordable lenses than its competitiors
- Not supported editing programs, so DxO is supporting the a7iv now, but it took half a year for them to do so, thats because Sony varies their models raw-files just a little bit so that software producers need to pay extra for every supported camera model, and some editing software providers took a year to support it...
- Lense dictated Modules in DxO: when i bought my new 600m Sports lense that makes nice pictures, sometimes I need to ramp up the ISO, i need to shoot faster to catch animals, and if it doesnt go so well because heck these thingsm ove so quickly, you would have a lense sharpness tool on DxO, yet depending on the lense you use, this module is not supported. Never had this trouble with other cameras, all lenses from original to tamrom get the same designs and all modules are more or less supported.
Why would I make a video like everyone else’s? I don’t want to reiterate the same problems that people have been complaining about Sony. Menu has always been convoluted and screens are always worse than the competitors it’s just a given at this point.
Canon RF lenses are super expensive as well at least you have good third party options for Sony where canon completely shuts down 3rd party RF AF lenses.
I don’t shoot super telephoto so how would I know? I don’t use dxo so again how would I explain things that I don’t know? It’s always been slow to adapt newer Sony cameras at least from my experience with Lightroom.
Sd card? Yeah the faster and bigger the files you handle you’d need a better media and that will cost you. That’s why I mentioned the upgrade tax, there’s a lot more stuff you need to get to use the camera.
