      Geetsly's my solution to save lower levels of Coruscant would've been relocation for all the lower levels citizens of Coruscant. Possibly move them all to a large enough planet that could house each and every one of them. The Jedi Exploration Corps could find the right inhabitable planet for the citizens to start new lives. Possibly make a society similar to Corellia, Naboo, Lothal or any other type of agricultural world.

      My idea would be a top secret operation without the knowledge of Jedi order or Republic government. I would need several essential things to make this plan a success. Money, transport ships, sustenance, metal, medical supplies, blaster guns, teaching them how to surivive/defend themseles, technology and I need a select group a trustworthy people to spread the word out to those who wish to leave the lower levels of Coruscant forever and start their new lives in a habitable world.

    Imagine if Grievous had been able to smuggle in some commando droids and weapons to the lower levels to train and organize the people. That combined with his assault, if he was able to keep it hidden from Dooku and Sidious, would have given them a massive advantage and possibly won the war right there.

      @@501ststormtrooper9 I mean an organized one to combine with the assault, split the Republic forces up even more and possibly either A get a Separtist victory, though Sidious would usurp the power vacuum, or B get some jedi to see their hypocrisy about being "defenders of the weak" while putting down an uprising of oppressed people making more leave the order which would make Order 66 go with less damage to the Empire's forces. I doubt Sidious would want that though because then he would have to use resources to put down the uprising so better to keep them angry and out of sight but unorganized. If Sidious wasn't playing both sides it would be a good strategy though, both for propaganda and that the Clones weren't as effective against organics because they were more flexible then the droids

    Considering that the Jedi Temple was located on the same planet, but not once have the Jedi help the people of the lower levels. The Jedi were protectors of the Republic and the Citizen of the lower levels were law bidding citizens they had hope the Jedi can help in their situation, but instead they were more focused on the surface of the planet were corrupted Senate used the Jedi on the whims. If anyone hated the Jedi more than the Sith than it was the Underworld citizen, they knew the stories of the Jedi how they saved outer rim from enslavement, but allowed the systematic enslavement from the surface.

Sure they could do a lot of good but they can't fix everything. By numbers alone it's unreasonable to think the Jedi can do it all. Which is part of Sidious's plot on how he uses the galaxies expectations of the Jedi to twist public opinion to the point that the Jedi committing a coup and that Order 66 was necessary seem reasonable. The fact that it even seems to work some of us (the audience) who should see beyond this shows you how good he was.

    I was so glad to see Ahsoka in the newest episode, and it was appropriate, for all reasons mentioned or not, that she kept her Jedi powers and past a secret ("My older brother taught me." lol. Awesome that Ahsoka described Anakin in that way.) As well, this was an interesting video because of the explanations of how garbage and air was regulated for the planet's survivability. However, it would've been a bit more complete if the video also explained how water was regulated/provided for the planet's survivability.

    • @bigmacshake5220
      @bigmacshake5220 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sky Den this wasnt a video on the lower levels of coroscuant it was a video on why the lower levels hated the jedi. So the topic of how they obtained water would be simply irrelevant. Even if he was to include it, it would be overkill and make the video unnecessarily longer.

    • @skyden24195
      @skyden24195 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@bigmacshake5220 The video points out how excessive garbage and low quality/recycled air contribute to the poor quality of life in the lower systems, although these issues are not indicated as why the lower levels hated the Jedi. The Jedi were hated because the lower levels felt ignored by the Jedi. The issues of the air and garbage were pointed out to express why it's difficult enough to live at the lower levels without being ignored. There's likely a lot more issues that could be brought up, such as food, crime, de-valuation of credits, death sticks, etc. However, detailing all these things would likely make the video longer than necessary. I only suggested that the water system be given certain consideration because of how vital water is to survival, probably second only to air.

    I think that Disney could spin-off Star Wars: Clone Wars into a Coruscant: 1313 show. You could have the main character be an Underworld Guard (or whatever they're called), a Jedi hiding from Order 66, or even just a Robin Hood-type character. There are so many possibilities that Disney will probably ignore them in favor of pushing a Social Justice narrative.

    Alderaan also had it's dark side. While they have a 'princess' it isn't actually a monarchy. It's ruled by roughly 100 noble families who every decade elect their most powerful and influential family to be the royals. To help preserve the natural beauty of Alderaan wars are fiercely surpressed and forbidden. But that caused the nobles to resort to backstabbing and assignation to eliminate their rivals.
    Alderani nobles were some of the most dublisidous, ruthless and calculating people in the galaxy. Capable of murdering an entire family and all their servants while keeping their hands absolutely clean. Capturing children and torturing them to force concessions was a routine practice as was framing each other for starting wars.

      Most likely not. The empire was voted into power by the corrupt republic; the empire basically doubled down on the corruption, though made it more centralized to the emperor. Those who opposed the republic like the separatists were treated as traitors and were blamed for the war; all Papatine really did was convince the galaxy to lump the Jedi in with the separatists. Coruscant somehow remembers me of the dark reality of Earth.
    We have the fortune to have grown in families that could feed us, educate us and basically develop with luxuries (that's the reason of why we are here in TH-cam, is not that is a mega premium service, of course not, but for using it you need to have access to internet, therefore a house or mobile data plan and both things need money to be adquired. There is people that even cannot afford a single piece of food in the entire day, so what makes us expect they can afford Wi-Fi?) , but what about those who weren't so fortunate?.
    Depending from country to country, social economical differences may be more accentuated or not. I can tell from my country (Colombia) that social inequality is really a mess, not a mess that can be concealed at least to make it the less evident as possibly.
    I'm not going to say that we live in slums all the time, of course not, but, sometimes I believe our society is ruled more a la feudalism than a la capitalism.
    I have the same feelings towards Coruscant.
    Now, with the topic of the reputation of the Jedi......being ''protectors of peace'' is a very hard job, considering you have to select your position in events carefully, and it doesn't matter what you do, you can't please everyone. You can just make sure to please the most possible quantity as you can.

I can see police holding several ration stations where it was “safe” to collect the rations they would need to survive but if you went to crime ridden levels then you would have to trade your credits to the gangs who could jump up the price at any moment if need be. It’s also possible the water coming from the upper levels may be tainted through filtration based on the age of each level flowing down

If I live on the top floor of a skyscraper, what kind of engineering do I have that 10 floors collapsing 200 floors beneath me does not affect the safety of my luxury flat? If turbolasers or ships are falling from the sky, won't they have the greatest impact on the upper levels?
    The city is too big to provide centralized government services to many lower parts? Have you considered the capacity of the free market which is almost always more efficent at providing goods and services than the government?
    If the city is 100,000 times bigger than the largest city on Earth, it would hardly be shocking to say that there's a slum 10,000 times bigger than the biggest slum on earth, and that would be large enough to have any number of ghetto crime lord stories you wanted but I suspect there were many undercity parts that are more or less self-governing which were very nice.
    Also, have you considered that sunlight might not be a universal desire and there could be many species that prefer to live underground?
    Overall on a planet with over 100 times the population of earth, there would be far too many districts with unique subcultures to many any broad statements that applied to everyone.
    So far as luxury, have you seen the private chambers of individual jedi?
