    Alsome thanks for sharing this tip I’ll try it out as soon as we get good weather where I live .. I bought the superfly nel coil the metal detector is much lighter and it seems like the at max likes this coil i only used the superfly nel coil for a quick hour will see this summer… HAPPY HUNTING 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 agin thank you

    Will that help get rid of the constant crackling noise?

      I will make a great deal of difference if you use this technique. Depends on the levels of mineralisation. Any high-end VLF will be noisier in the goldfields, than a Pulse Induction machine of course. You can also switch to 'Zero' mode in extreme conditions to smooth the threshold. Happy Fossicking!     Aren't you going to end up with just one number for side balancing
    just like you would if you ground balanced by pumping the coil up and down? A single digit number or did Garrett equip the MAX with the capability of a multi range of numbers simultaneously for the ground balance range? The range rover that does the video for Garrett's detectors shows the same method as your video but doesnt explain it. If it is just a single number what advantage can be claimed?
