Great tank!! I am especially impressed by how free of coralline algae growth the bare bottom and back glass are! (how!!) It's awesome to see Nate's tank from a different perspective than from his videos, and it's definitely food for thought to see another beautiful tank that relies just on water changes and keep things simple. 👍 DMV representing!

Im so jealous but I know nothing about keeping a reef tank. And if I were to get a reef tank, I’d want to go 110% all in for the corals and fish.

Fantastic tank! I have a 1 year old 167 gallon sps reef, i hope it will look this good one day! Just curious what you are using for a return pump? you mentioned you like quiet, I have a Sicce SDC 9.0 and the low pitch buzzing noise it makes drives me nuts.
I use a current eflux dc pump, the one that’s rated at 3100 gph but I bought oversized and cranked it down to 30% which ends up being very quiet than a smaller pump running at the same flow rate

@@drum18761 I think any over sized pump dialed back could work. I haven’t compared it to others so might be better options… This one is a ‘budget’ DC pump from a known brand rather than budget from Amazon

@@WorldWideCorals i have that same issue with my ph b/c of allergies and cant open windows much, he got the c02 scrubber, can i just use the media in a mesh bag?
@@danielhizer1228no, co2 media has to be outside the tank dry, and you need to run air into it like thru a skimmer.

Man i wish my tank could run off kalk with good PH but unfortunately My Alk and Calcium jump up way too high, any recommendations to help fix this issue and still run Kalk?
Kalk is going to raise calcium and Alk, so there is no way around that. In your case, I would suggest hooking up a co2 scrubber to the air intake of your protein skimmer.
