Its hard when you grow up poor cos once you start making more money you start to feel like "omg I can finally afford to eat out or buy something from macy's" and it becomes so hard to save money since you're spending on shit you didn't need because you FINALLY have more money than you used to. My advice to young women, (I wish someone told me this when I was young) of the money you usually spend on clothes, shoes, makeup, purses, manicures, hair products- spend only 1/3 of it and save/invest 2/3 of it. You will be very rich in your retirement (you might be able to retire early).
Getting older is awesome if you learn from your experiences and how to treat yourself and others better. I'm 35 and it doesn't suck. I still feel all spunky and excited about life :)
