Squarebody H4 Headlight Conversion Jolly Green gets new Night Eyes.

The old Halogen headlights are very weak in the old Squarebody chevys with dual action bulbs (H6054). Even the Sylvania Silverstars are antiquated. I really don't like the bug eye look of the multi LED replacement bulbs. Finally stumbled across the Hella H4 conversion ( 003427811 ) which gives you 2 glass globes and 2 clip in H4 bulbs. Amazon as of Jan 2024 it was $98. In my research the Rampage and the LMC globes don't project the light in an acceptable pattern down the road. I can vouch for the Hella globes that they do project the light side to side and down the road.
While your installing these new headlights, its a good time to install the LMC headlight relay kit to kill the voltage drain on the headlight switch. LMC 36-3580 for single headlights (200mm). LMC 36-3581 (165mm) for the large quad headlight setup. And LMC 36-3582A (150mm) will fit the custom (LMC version of the globes, with 9005xs bulbs, Outer globe-36-0302 36-0303 Inner globe)
