this Cyclonus makes nearly every other recent Jetformer look like an unpolished mess by comparison with how clean the transformation is.
Truly. The Jets are always my favorite but this guy makes them look like knockoffs

Maybe. If you are referring to Jetformers like the Seekers (Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp e.t.c). I think they could make them cleaner but they don't cause having the Jet Wings on the backpack is iconic and will never change. They would look weird if they didnt have big wings on their back haha
@@craigzilla3420 But then a majority of them either have the legs or the arms or even the chest dangling underneath the jet, seeker or not. toys like CW Silverbolt and SS Jetfire are the worst offenders of this.
I agree PrimeVsPrime, I think this is a perfect Voyager class figure. He’s exactly the shade of purple I thought he would be, he’s ginormous, and both robot and vehicle modes are stunning. No kibble, fully articulated, and he’s got a good amount of paint. Can’t wait for this guy to be out. Thanks for the excellent review PrimeVsPrime!
Yeah, I feel like this is the best a mainline toy is ever going to get.
Cyclonus has the best colour maybe just a tiny bit more blue to be accurate but it’s the best
this cyclonus is PERFECT!!! size, price, transformation, joints all great! I'm very impressed; Hasbro is taking back its crown!
When the nosecone came out, then came out, then came out again I was agog. Cyclonus was one of my very favourite G1 figures and this looks beyond perfect.
I've never had my jaw drop like I did watching that nosecone transformation.

I'm a 47 year old dude who hasn't seriously collected Transformers since the 80s. When I saw this in the store I said to myself "Age be damned, I've wanted this exact thing for 35+ years. Take my money now."

Studio Series 86 Scourge + Kingdom WFC Cyclonus + Kingdom WFC Galvatron + Haslab Unicron = 1986 DECEPTICONS
I have a feeling that he was designed for the Studio Series 86 line, he doesn’t feel like he was made for WFC, very complex engineering
Are you saying that WFC isnt complex?
@@aci6737 no, but that SS86 figures tend to be much more complex than the majority of the WFC figures, as they are directly based upon the film character models and the WFC figures are able to stylises much more freely due to it being an original story

It's actually the othe way around. The figures in the SS86 subline were intended to be in WFC, but they lacked enough slots. In order to solve this, and the lack of movie characters, HasTak came up with the SS86 to take on these characters and to fill up the Studio Series line for 2021, after which the next movie will come out in 2022.
@@Levi_52_336 Actually if Kingdom busts, "as in the maximals and predacons fail". They still got the SS86 and the few G1 figures to make their money back. They put in a few Iconic figures for the Kingdom line including, Ultra Magnus "earth mode", Cyclonus, Warpath and Pipes. While the rest is in the movie line. You cannot seriously be saying that SS86Jaz is in any way or form superb. Also, Voyager Hotrod is damn tiny.

Wow, this figure is definitely a huge step up from the Combiner Wars figure. It looks so cartoon accurate as if you'd think that Cyclonus could not transform as a toy, but he can. And wow, the light piping has returned! Overall, great review, my friend! I cannot wait to get this and review it next year.
1:30 I'm pretty sure it's also an Easter egg to the original Beast Wars packaging, which was similarly styled.
Did you see the ark in the reflection of the eye like he said there was? I didn't see it and I just wanted to see if anybody else did
Yeah it is. The original packaging had that eye but it wasn't a crashing Ark making the iris. So that's a nice easter egg that not only calls back the original BW line but also fits it into the current line.

Probably what I’m most excited for in wave 1, a character I always wanted a proper figure of, I had the RTS version growing up and lost it in a move. This version gives me nostalgia booms because of the attachment I have to Cyclonus when I was young, he was my very first Decepticon and third overall transformer after ROTF huffer and his pack in guy Hotrod
I still have my copy of Reveal the Shield Cyclonus...and I am absosmurfinlutely lookin' forward to gettin' the new Kingdom one!!

First Transformer Figure I ever got was a Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime I've forgotten which one but I was a Young kid who didn't know what the hell I was doing so I wrecked him took him apart and lost all the pieces
closer to present day now I picked up Studio series Blitzwing from the Bumblebee Movie along with Jeep Mode Bumblebee and I love both those Figures then the Year after that I picked up Dark of the moon Megatron with the Hood and Fusion canon
now this last Christmas I obtained this Kingdom Cyclonus my first G1 (Esque?) Figure after watching the 86 Movie for the first time which I cannot believe I put off for so long Man is this figure good and I loved the Card I got with him it had The Ark on it

when they first revealed cyclonus i wasn't to fond of him i thought he was going to be the average QC issues and shelfwarmer figure. but now since you reviewed him i have had a major change in heart for him he looks magnificent he reminds me of the old generations figures when they weren't as dumbed down for children as they are now. epsecially with me starting to be a TF completest he is defenataly worth it in my eyes.

@@HBRice17 im not talking about a shell former, if you knew the difference the you would know a shelfwarmer are figures that take up alot of space on a peg at walmart or target and they don't sell, while on the other hand a shell former is a figure that has the entire alternate mode on its back or as kibble!
This figure obviously wouldn’t shelfwarm because of scourge and Galvatron, collectors are going to be buying all of them because these will be the best mainline representations of the characters.

I'm pretty sure the cards are alternate destinies, showing alternate fates for the characters than what actually happens in the Kingdom story line.
I think there are at least three different destinies possible for each card in Kingdom. Like what they did in POTP.
The Kingdom line does have a very heavy time travel theme.
There are 3 different possible futures for each character. It's a spoiler but you don't know which one is the spoiler.
This is the best designed, well weighted, clean Transformer I have ever owned. Love it.
Beautiful engineering! Great in both modes and shows up so many other figures that don’t work as well in one mode or another. Definitely cleans up nicely and was one of my most anticipated figures!
I had the 1980s version for Christmas as a kid...wow...I might need to buy this. I just bought Scourge and Snarl....reliving my childhood.
It's like they took the Deluxe Cyclonus, made him a Voyager, correcting everything wrong with him. A beautiful figure, and I was pleasantly surprised by the light piping. Hasbro is returning to what made them great.
Wow, this figure looks great. Incredible engineering and he looks fantastic and accurate in both vehicle and robot modes.
Man, how did we go from the lame Prime Wars Trilogy to this? This is amazing! All these figures have been great!
Edit: The ports for his thrusters could be used to put a potential targetmaster in his hand.
@@beyondthemax2623 I was referencing the G1 show. Cyclonus in the show had his weapon turned into a targetmaster(robot that transformed into his gun) named Nightstick. The way targetmasters were used when Japan continued the show was this: the targetmaster transformed into the gun, but attached itself to the end of the larger robot’s arm instead of being held like a gun. The port on Cyclonus’ hand when you flip it around can be used for a potential third party targetmaster for him.
@@beyondthemax2623 Target Masters and Battle Masters are just two types of classification. Or to say, a Target Master is a type of Battle Master.
Battle Masters can transform into various weapons, and Target Masters are Battle Masters that transform into guns.

Agreed, only other recent "actual voyagers" I can think of would be SS-06 Starscream and all of the voyager SS Megatrons
Still my favourite Transformer, it's just so well done.

I can see some similarities to Generations Cyclonus in terms of transformation, but oh wow, what a satisfying update with new twists and turns in the engineering.
Damn. Really in depth review man. I had no plans of picking up Galvatron and his cronies, but this madr me rethink otherwise. Engineered really well, making him look as a MP like said. There goes my budget planning.
This figure has to be my favourite looking transformer of all time. He looks amazing! I'm gonna try and get this figure as soon as I can.

This figure is what makes me believe that the Studio Series 86 line is their way of getting more season 3 characters into the Kingdom line without going over budget for said Kingdom line.
Those 5mm ports for the thrusters are especially delicious. If only we had a version of Nightstick that had an adjustable peg.

I got this figure last weekend, and boy do I freaking love it. Definitely one of the BEST figures I’ve ever gotten

can only recomend this one. hes not beautyfull only on vid. when u get him out of package in ur hands, u will emediatelly fall in love with design and engineering. im pretty confident to say hes one of my prettiest and best made figures so far. (actually total best of my figs)
Cyclonus's arms with the hands tucked in have a real megaman vibe.
Ah, dude.... I was already sold on this guy (got the Target Master version for Christmas back in ‘87 after all) but you’ve literally made me want him twice as bad now with that Mega Man comment.

The golden disc cards show one potential future for a character. They have 3 futures for each character, and 4 characters, Blackarachnia, Prime, the Ark, and Dinobot.

Can't wait for this to drop... It's been on my radar since it got announced, no a huge fan of the Kingdom line up, but this is something else, oh and Huffer looks amazing imo. (Can't believe how big Cyclonus is, will look great next to my Siege Magnus!
This is easily one of my most anticipated 2021 figures, tied with SS Hot Rod and Jazz. I hope he gets remolded as a Beast Machines Jetstorm at some point.
Not my favorite TF continuity, but that Jetstorm figure checked all the boxes- looked great in robot or vehicle mode and had very impressive articulation (missile launchers were cool too!). I hope they'll revisit that design some day, it may have been the all-around best of the whole Beast Machines line.
That raptor eye on the bottom of the box flap is a throwback or homage to the Beast Wars card image of the toys back in the day.
I’m very excited for Galvatron, hopefully we have it and we really need a (non third party) transmetal 3 Megatron (which is probably going to be a Haslab project)
YES! I'm so excited to get Cyclonus. He's the only one I'm getting in wave 1 of Kingdom.
1:51 It was my understanding that because Kingdom is dealing with alternate timelines, these collector's cards depict ALTERNATE fates for the Transformers. In other words the cards depict alternate fates to what we'll be seeing on the Netflix series and are not direct spoilers for the show. The cards may still be indirect spoilers since they might be telling us what WON'T be happening.
This cyclonus is definitely my fav now. But RTS cyclonus is still badass and has just as much of a sexy robot mode and space jet mode as kingdom cyclonus

Just picked this one up yesterday, to our surprise Target had it, easily one do my favorites now. A lot of genius went into the engineering of this one.
I hope we get a galvatron that's as good as this cyclonus

You know? Little Changes to the Ship, we could get quite decent Sideways if we go Cybertron Approach... Change Head and Nosecone, and you're golden.
Simple and elegant design, I am not a fun of Hasbro line, but this is amazing!
Honestly, this Cyclonus looks like they took his Universe toy, which is still fantastic by the way, and then upscaled and refined it with modern engineering. Absolutely fantastic!

Interestingly, only in Russia is the first wave of Earthrise only on sale (and the remnants of Siege)? I have been waiting for Snapdragon since September, but it has not been arrived to local shops. (I am already silent about Kingdom - it will probably arrive to us in 3-4 years)...
bought him just today. awesome figure. clean, transformation is not way too simple and sure is enjoyable, engineering interesting and details in both forms awesome. can only recomend purchase.

that transformation was genius. i was gonna get him anyway as he's one of the grail characters for me that i couldnt get back in the day due to lack of funds. but man they did a great job.
onlly thing i'd change is the shade of purple is too light for my taste. but i can forgive that to unite the unicron trio.

@PrimeVsPrime Considering that you had lots to say about this Cyclonus, it would had been nice to see a comparison with the previous released and recolors of the Universe version of Cyclonus. This one though original on its different transformations, like the ER Starscream who borrows into the Classics (CHUG) Starscream, this one in some parts and transformations also borrows from its Universe predecessor.
Gonna have to grab this one. Probably the best G1 Cyclonus figure

Ok, so Optimus Primal is still my most anticipated kingdom figure, and BW Megatron was in second, and Cyclonus was much lower, but if this figure ends up being better than BW Megatron, Cyclonus will be my second; and right now he is in 2 1/2 in my kingdom wave 1 list
