Thanks for watching, Michelle! Sure....i will film our resupply today....it will be on Day 16 video. This trail passes so many villages everyday so we have been spoiled not having to carry much food supply more than a day's worth. But soon, we will have to carry 3 days of food due to a section with no villages or facilities

Those round structures with the cage like domes were access shafts for taking the spoil and rubble away from the Loch Katrine water tunnels that supply Glasgow with fresh water. The underground water supply was built in 1859 and improved in the early 20th century. Mugdock reservoir in Milngavie is part of that scheme and was built to hold the water.
That is why Glasgow has such good tap water.

The mysterious tunnel vents: At first I thought they would be for an underground railway tunnel but the real purpose is for Glasgow's water supply.
THE Loch Katrine Water Works were officially opened on October 14, 1855 by Queen Victoria. For its time it was a very ambitious scheme to increase and improve Glasgow ‘s water supply, aiming to provide 50 million gallons of water in any one day.

Another fab video! Take note of which portions are your favourite because I will be back for more...(knowing I can skip the canals and Milngavie to Drymen....been there done that!) But might do the border - Edinburgh, or Rob Roy....or....so bear that in mind..."which sections should we suggest Melanie walk" hahahahhaha. I'm looking forward to seeing more hills and mountains...!

What happened to your sleep mat? Did the patch not work? Looked as though you were just sleeping on your zlite mat. Hope it is warm enough

Oh, it's fine now after the patch. I don't set up my sleep mat until I finish eating and getting ready for bed.
