That garden pasta did look really fantastic. Tomatoes is probably one of my favourite round food and they actually come in different sizes; medium, small, large and beef. Beef size is the biggest and as strange as it might sound, they don't actually have and beef in them, just tomato. They're actually probably called beef size because they're the biggest tomato in the world just like cows are the biggest meat or something like that. Fumbs up
Kay.. you are the sweetest and most honest cooking channel I have ever seen. Keep it going because I love how you inspire, try, and you don't give up. Thank you for being you
Love watching you cook, Kay! Just so you know, angel hair pasta is also called capellini. It usually says, "angel hair" as well, but if you don't see it, try looking for capellini. That said, any pasta will do. 😊
Pasta will ALWAYS be bland, unless you add some salt. The oil is to usually prevent the pasta sticking. The sauce could have done with a long simmer to reduce a bit so it would taste better. 👍🏻
Kay's way: Replace fresh cherry tomatoes with canned diced tomatoes in sauce Replace fresh basil leaves with dried Replace crushed red pepper with diced bell pepper Replace 6 cloves of fresh garlic with 2 tablespoons of jarred garlic Replace angel hair pasta with spaghetti
Replace not cooking the "Summer Garden" pasta sauce with boiling the ever loving hell out of it. 😂 Twist, twist, twist, twist, twist annnnd twist. Kay's way! 😉
Long time watcher first time commenter. Have spent many of nights watching your content with friends. Love the channel. Keep up the good work. I wanted to leave a recipe for you to try. Ingredients Instructions 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef 1 small yellow onion chopped 2 Tablespoons taco seasoning 1/4 cup water 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 jar nacho cheese or Queso cheese dip 6 burrito-size flour tortillas 6 tostada shells or corn tortillas* see note 1 cup sour cream 2 cups shredded lettuce 1 tomato diced 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend cooking spray 1. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook and crumble ground beef and onion, until beef is no longer pink. Drain grease. Stir in the taco seasoning mix, water and minced garlic. Continue to cook until it starts to boil. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes. 2. Warm the nacho cheese sauce or queso cheese in a microwave-safe bowl. Place the flour tortillas on a large plate. Microwave for 20 seconds to warm them. 3. Lay one flour tortilla on a flat surface. Spread 1/2 cup of taco meat onto the center of the tortilla. Drizzle a couple Tablespoons of nacho cheese over the meat. Top meat with one tostada shell or crispy corn tortilla *see notes below. Spread a thin layer of sour cream over the tostada shell. Top with lettuce, tomato and shredded Mexican cheese. 4. To fold the crunch wrap, start with the bottom of the flour tortilla and fold the edge up over the center. Continue to work your way around, folding the flour tortilla over the center fillings. There will be a spot left open in the center; cut a piece of another flour tortilla, and tuck it in the center, so it's fully covered. 5. Repeat with all remaining tortillas, tostadas and fillings. You'll have 6 crunch wraps total. 6. Spray a large, non-stick skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium heat. Place one crunchwrap seam-side down onto the skillet. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until golden-brown. Carefully, flip over and cook other side until golden-brown. Repeat process with all crunch wraps. Serve immediately My friends I love these. We hope you enjoy!
Can you make my town's dish, "Geezer Stew"? Spinach, pork chops (cut up), half can of Kestrel, oxo pork gravy cube. Cut up bacon. And last of all, carrots.
To make things go a bit easier, Kay, you can name and put all your ingredients into the bowl like you did with the tomato sauce, and then mix it all up, instead of, 1 mix, stop, add another 1, mix stop, then salt mix, stop, then pepper, mix and stop. Yeah you can add it all in: Salt Pepper Oil And what have you and mix, we can follow along and it will be easier and a bit quicker for you too, give it a try love. Cheers❤
I think it would have been entirley different if you had used chopped fresh tomatos rather than chopped tin tomato's, wouldnt have needed to cook it off first. Tinned tomatos def need to be heated.
First off, oil doesn’t go into the water you’re cooking pasta in. That will prevent the sauce sticking to the pasta. That aside, if you add salt to your pasta water that will add flavor.
Lol tell that to my mother in law .. I never used to use oil in my pasta but then she insisted I did, claiming if I didn't the pasta would stick together too much...oy. 😕
Hi Kay, thanks for yet another mouth watering cooking video😋 Could you possibly do a cooking video on either a Lobster or a large Crab. Thanks and keep them coming👍
Hi Kay thanks so much for the recipe I knew one that was right similar but it used Parmello cheese from italy n all that. i thought you said you loved cheese and so i wanted to know why you didn't add some of the Parmeter cheese like the recipe said it should.
You gotta salt the water for the spaghetti noodles, and a bit of salt in the sauce would have brought out the flavors. It's important to layer salt as you cook, a little salt here a little salt there all adds up and then you don't have to salt the final product. But rice and noodles in particular take quite a bit of salt in the water to get rid of the bland flavor

Ingredients
Instructions
1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
1 small yellow onion
chopped
2 Tablespoons taco seasoning
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 jar nacho cheese
or Queso cheese dip
6 burrito-size flour tortillas
6 tostada shells or corn tortillas* see note
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 tomato

the oil makes sense when you're using fresh tomatoes like you would in the summer from your garden. tinned cold tomatoes does sound gross.

To make things go a bit easier, Kay, you can name and put all your ingredients into the bowl like you did with the tomato sauce, and then mix it all up, instead of, 1 mix, stop, add another 1, mix stop, then salt mix, stop, then pepper, mix and stop. Yeah you can add it all in:

Add salt to the pasta. All the oil does is stop it from sticking together. Salt will season it. :)
