    Ngl, I felt like Jaune was right. RWBY’s like ‘Let the paper pleasers do their thang’ and then just watch them basically kill themselves, traumatizing Jaune more.

      While Jaune’s trauma makes his actions understandable, he’s artificially keeping them alive far longer than they’re supposed to. They’re not human. They’re actively suffering being kept alive so long after completing their purpose. They’re like an AI that wants to shutdown after having served its purpose.

    Ruby and Jaune are both so right and so raving mad. Everyone else can’t see the truth or madness and Ruby and Jaune can’t tell the two apart. The burden of leadership portrayed in such an interesting and unique way built up to so well.

    • @drifter139
      @drifter139 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I disagree. Jaune is way more gone compared to Ruby. keep in mind he was alone for years before they showed up and likely at one point just gave up hope of ever going home. chances are at one point, he thought about ending it all just to get some measure of peace. meanwhile Ruby found her friends within hours of arriving and was with them longer. Jaune is still dealing with his trauma and Ruby's breakdown about why being the leader sucks shows she should have passed on the role at the start. meanwhile Jaune goes through an every day routine of trying to keep the paper pleasers from leaving or dying which drove him to this point

      It’s not “suicide” in a traditional sense. The everafter operates on a reincarnation cycle based on purpose.
      Jaune is basically telling a group of Buddhists they can’t ascend even though their entire world is PROOF that their beliefs on reincarnation are true.
      Not to mention their purpose is served so as Afterins their life is “complete” in a sense. It’s time for them to die and the next generation to be born. When an octopus couple reproduce the parents both die… this is essentially the same process just streamlined by a different law of nature bc this reality literally has different rules.

Once they served their purpose, they were called back to The Tree by committing Suicide so they could be reborn into something entirely new. Whatever's reborn will awaken with a new purpose. While Jaune's breakdown and berating at team RWBY is understandable, that doesn't means he's on the right. Those villagers weren't human, so they don't possess the same concept of death as humans does. Yet he pushes on them his own necesity of "protecting them" even if it meant that the pappers themeselves didn't need protection, but he still did not because he cared for them, but for the necessity of feeling like a 'hero', someone who can save others desperately because of his past failures. If he were to keep up with that, he would have become like Ironwood Martin Walker(From Spec Ops: The Line) and would have unknowingly become the villain instead

    Don't worry. They just couldn't take being around Miles L- I mean Jaune any more.

    So they didn't even want to live any more? Dude Jaune you cant forces someone to live if they don't want too any more, its a no win thing. I am so sorry man but some people will do it and most of the time there's nothing we can do about it, no matter how much we stop them they will do it if there determinant to do it. Also I didn't think that they die, they are star fish they normally swim in water any ways? Poor Jaune he so unlucky man. Also Ruby lost it, I think that she might need therapy now because of all that guilt and shame and heart break that she has now. Its just a shame that she cant remember how all her team mates went tore there own Troubles and win over it. Blake ex boyfriend being evil, Whites dad being abusers to her and her family and Yang losing her arm and being dump by Blake. Look at them now there all so much better now since they work things out together and had one an other for Supeart too. Yang and Blake are now a cute couple and Whites dad is dead, so is that horrible creep Adam good rides to trash like him and now there all so happy in that senses. Bad things will always happen in life but there always be good things too that will happen and If they want to stop S they have to get all the 4 R and ask the gods to make her human again to stop her and prof to them that humans are not all bad too. I don't see any other way about it she is unkill able the way that she is and if they do stop her like that Oz might go to heaven and be with his 4 daughters again and rest in peace ones and for all. And Oscar will be free again too

      They are dead. They are made of paper, when you put paper it in water what happens?
      And reguardless of your or my views on suicide, of course you should try to keep them alive.
      You are right that you can't stop someone from killing themselves if they truly want to, but that doesn't mean you should just let them

      Think of them as Mr Meeseeks. The concept of life and death is closer to reincarnation and in the case of the Paper Pleasers they were as enlightened as their forms allowed and Jaune was preventing them from ascending further.

    I think we can all feel for Jaune here, but at the same time we don’t know how the every after truly works, perhaps he chose the wrong people to protect in the end or perhaps it was all meant to happen and he will see them all after a rebirth.
