I have an evinrude 3 hp 2 flasks e-tec but the noggin button is broken so I used a iron line to it kind of control when starting engine but the engine shuts down when you’re trying to run it on idle

Exactly what happened to me. Got a slight crack on the transom of my dinghy after pushing 2 people 16 mph with a 8hp 2 stroke.

For comparison my Blentec has a 1560 watt motor which is 2.12 HP... this does look like more fun than making a smoothie though!

These engines are very light on fuel. The tank lasts all day for me.
I had a 6hp Evinrude and used it for 6 trips to the lake before I got even close to running out of fuel.

It stops the engine when you pull it out, incase you fall out. Then it won’t run away from you if you’re in the water.
