Thank you posting this video. I wish she had let you complete the repair. The exact same thing is happening to my zero 10. Im thinking controllers also. Mine is opposite, i turn left to get more speed.I live in Hawaii. Lots of humidity. Took it apart. Super dusty. All connections good. Motors both good. Gonna test controllers next. Just a pain in the butt to get to it! Will keep you updated to see if it was the controllers
Oh no! is the scooter still under warranty? I'm pretty sure its controller/s issue. Try switching the controllers over see if the problem switches sides that way you will only have to change one controller not both. Good luck my friend.
Have victory 10. Batteries new. 12.82 and 12.85 volts when get back from 1/2 mile ride. Has no power uphill gage drops 3 green lights until back on level. Do you think might be the motor? Thanks, Dennis
Hi Denis, without seeing and knowing more about the scooter it could well be, but you still can't rule out the batteries especially if the uphill is quite a bit of a climb, It could be one faulty battery. Without a load tester you could use a multimeter on one battery at a time they should hold about 10.5v under significant load 10 or below the battery has bad cells. Also check your battery connections are secured and if possible, remove the front from the rear make sure there the pin connections good (no sign of melting plastic). For a motor/transaxle test take the scooter for a 10 -15 min run at top speed, stop and feel the motor. If the motor is to hot, you could be looking at motor and or transaxle. Hope this helps Ian.
Hi..my scooter doing same 4 beeps. NEVER been left outside..mint condition..never got wet..new batteries...treated like the Priide of ownership that I have...help 😢
Hi, yes if its four beeps on the ZT10, then as far as I got with fully diagnosing this on the ZT10 its to do with one of the controllers but I'm not 100% certain as I never got to fixing the scooter for the customer. You would have to put the diagnostic code scanner on the scooter to determine which controller is failing. Contact the place of purchase see if they can help and I hope you're within your two year warranty 🤞 Good luck, Ian
Hey Clive, yeah I don't like to see new a generation scooter fail just out of warranty that sucks for the customer, but yes it would have been good to see if the controller/s was the problem that way we get to learn something new.
I wish it was that simple. The controllers are well sealed, and I think it's a case of failed chip rather than dirt and debris that's got on to the circuit board. This scooter has long since gone now, but thanks for watching 👍
Worst scooter pride ever put out. 2 motors for absolutely nothing. Have u ever seen the turning radius on a 4 wheel victory or a 4 wheel gogo sport? They turn even better than that piece of junk and only 1 motor 1 controller. Go figure
Are you asking a question or making a statement? It looks like both, so I'll answer for you. You can't compare a smaller go-go sport to the ZT10 that's like comparing an 18ah battery to a 35ah battery. In answer to your questions yes, I've seen and used all three. How about some facts... 4-wheel Victory 10 length 47" (shorter) turning radius 54" (wider) 4-wheel ZT 10 Length 48" (longer) turning radius 43" (shorter) 4-wheel Go-Go Sport Length 43" (way shorter) turning radius 50.5" (way wider) IMHO, the worst scooter Pride ever put out is the first gen iRide P.S I don't work for Pride. Have great day 😉 👍
It’s really quite sad, how some people don’t take very good care of such an expensive, and useful, life altering product! These things benefit the lives of a disabled person so highly, you think they would respect the equipment far more than some of them do! When I get my ZT 10, I’m going to take immaculate care of it, I want it to last me at least five years, and hopefully without a scratch on it! I’m paying almost $4000 for one of these things in Canadian currency! Actually $3745, which, is the best price I could find anywhere in Canada, for a ZT10! Ordered one for a lady friend of mine, as well, in my seniors 55+ apartment building! Also, purchased over $2000 of add-ons for the two of them, and two GB 120 Golden carry-on buzz around scooters, for use in malls, that are many miles away by bus! Have the two carry-ons already and love them, now just waiting a full 9.5 months, before the ZT10s arrive! Can’t wait till these ones get here, gonna ride all over the city, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, all day long, right from the beginning of spring, through summer, till the end of fall, a 7 full months! Going to totally get my moneys worth, and my battery warranties worth out of them! Lol! I just found out the other day when I called Pryde to see how long the scooters were taking to be shipped out, that they have extended the battery warranty from six months to 13 months on the ZT 10s, at least! Yippee! That way if they don’t come till the end of summer and have to be put away all winter, I can still ride them under battery warranty all Of next spring, summer, and fall! Fully covered battery wise, regarding warranty!
I know, these things aren't cheap by any means. Nice one Ryan, you're going to enjoy the ZT10 especially the 40ah batteries as standard. Great scooter for transport needs, suspension, full LED lights, USB charge port and cup holder what more could you want. Thats good of Pride to cover the batteries to 13 months.
Hey Ronald, Pride adapted the motor gearbox setup they use in power wheelchairs and run two controllers' side by side in conjunction with a circuit board that detects the angle of steer. A very Ingenius system. I remember seeing the ZT8 (Jazzy ZT) prototype back in 2015 at MedTrade but never got to test it out.
I was going to tell you I unhooked the electromagnetic parking brake on my little 3-wheeler and made the battery last longer. It still has The motor brake... unhooked resistance, heater, mounted on the end of the motor.. I had to jump the micro switch of course and now I have two wires I can run a light or something
Hey Ronald, that's something I wouldn't recommend to most of my customers lol but here's a thought, I wonder if you could adapt a small disk brake on the end of the motor to a handle bar hand brake??
@@lasvegasscooterslifts no I would not recommend that unless you're someone like myself that does not need one every day and I do know it is not a big deal for me though yeah I wouldn't do it if I was in your business
@@lasvegasscooterslifts absolutely all that is is a parking brake but yeah it's needed but he uses too much battery for my needs. If I want the parking brake on I will just turn it on manually but I wouldn't do that to everyone. I just use mine to ride around sometimes I will leave my hoveround jazzy hooked because they have two and my little 3-wheeler I can experiment with it
The problem is with the controllers. I had my Zero Turn 10 for 4 months and kept it inside. That 4 beep code isn’t common but I’m seeing it in more reviews.
There is a common problem with the proximity sensor in the front of the scooter. Its a complete piece of trash pride has put out. Every one of these I have seen always has problems.
Get in touch with where you purchased the scooter as soon as possible as the controllers should be under warranty (2 years). Pride should send out two new controllers to rectify the problem.
@@lasvegasscooterslifts My scooter was already in the service, from Poland sent to the Netherlands so it took a while, but after about 3 weeks after returning from the service the same error started to appear again and I am again waiting for the service to pick it up. In Poland the warranty only lasts one year.
Wrong, if you are taking about the speed pot, the error only accrues when turning not in straight line driving. A bad speed potentiometer would affect the scooter in all circumstances and also the diagnostic reader says otherwise.
Who would you consider to be the best manufacturer of mobility scooters in terms of durability, reliability, parts availability, and easiest to work on? Thanks.
Good question, durability, reliability, parts availability, and easiest to work on they are all about the same but if I had to choose one, then it has to be Pride then Golden. Pride have it for their innovation and R&D too, all the rest seem to copy.
Unfortunately I have a Pride Celebrity DX Sport its a piece of junk as is most mobility scooters! I am in the process of building my own electric mobility scooter from a wrecked quad, so I can get around when it snows!
You are not a Mobility scooter engineer, Engineers don't guess they test items on the scooter and order the correct part, the thought of you ordering a new controller and saying well if one gone the other be due too is disgraceful, 90% chance if the turn sensor was diconnected the scooter would work properly just not slow down when turning, The sensor is under the front so gets wet and damp so the controller thinks the scooter is turning making it slow down, You're first thing to do was ring Pride and ask for help that is not an engineer and for Pride to guess too says it all, out of all the video's you've put on i've never seen you test a throttle pot, speed pot or motor and brake you just throw parts at them costing customers lots of money that don't need to be spent, hopefully the lady owner took it somewhere else and had it fixed
Well, steven, did you even watch the video or even listen to what was said? I 've just watched the video again as it's been over a year since I posted this video, I'm amazed at your defamatory comments attacking my integrity and morals towards my customers. Just because you can only see what I do on my videos you "ass"-ume I don't test anything? First of all, I have NEVER, once said I'm a scooter engineer and not sure if that is something you "ass"-umed?? I'm scooter dealer and repair tech for scooters and power wheelchairs for the brands we sell. If I was an engineer, do you seriously think I'd need to be running a store and making TH-cam videos to make a living? My diagnostic is free unlike most places that give you the same results but at a cost. Point 1 "You're first thing to do was ring Pride and ask for help that is not an engineer and for Pride to guess too says it all" Again, did you not listen?? I've never worked on any of the ZT technology and my first thing I said and did was inspect the scooter, look for issues then report to pride tech what the problems are. This is their product which their engineers developed and made. Don't you think that is a smart move? or do you expect me to spend hours' worth of my time with thousands of dollars' worth of testing equipment to find out the same results as simply as changing out a suspected faulty part? With that in mind, I took their advice, all though it was wooly to say the least, that could be controller or motor/s issue. If we had only ordered one controller and then found out both controllers were faulty this would be stupid on our part. (cover your customers bases) At least with both controllers we were covered for both situations and this would have reduced the wait time for the customer to only find out we would have to change both controllers which were on back ordered for two weeks. In the time the controller took to arrive the customer wasn't willing to wait any further. With non warranty items WE have to foot the bill for any parts we order so the customer has no expense until the problem is solved. This also, this gives the customer the right diagnostic and also the right to refuse any work. Do you not think that is good ethics? or do you do something different? If all you want to do is come on my channel and insult me, you know what you can do... Move on...
