That Chanel get-up with those bulbous pearls and that classic calfskin, quilted bag reminiscent of the one Elizabeth Taylor famously walked around with in the 1960s spreading the Chanel look everywhere! Coco Chanel was a hardworking and skilled genius of a craftsman and seamstress, she certainly knew how to weave a dress and pull a a few strings to combine glamour with accessibility to the new ages, making comfort and style compatible with one another vice versa.
I love love Joan Collins but Stephanie Beacham came on the show. I was instantly taken be her. She has class with sass. I love both of them. Yet, I rather hear Sable talk all day. She seems like she would be a great friend. She would protect you from haters.
Watching all these clips, and there have been a few that I've watched over the past couple of weeks, makes me want to binge the entire original series. Growing up, we didn't watch Dynasty. My mother's late night soap choices were Dallas and Knots Landing. She said Dynasty was too "nasty". LOL! I feel like I missed out on an important part of television history!
There were some terribly boring and over-the-top storylines, but some Dynasty episodes are among the finest things ever to appear on network television. I was a Dynasty-The Colbys- Falcon Crest watcher.
Alexis is the ALPHA MALE, and it's even better that she's a woman. Sable was awesome, she actually brought down the indelible Alexis. But us lovers of Alexis know that IT NEVER REALLY HAPPENED.
Oh I agree - they have an intriguing and believable chemistry as adversaries. Love watching Joan and Stephanie savour and eat up the writing, acting it out to the hilt. That, along with the music AND the props , all combine to provide a masterclass in evening soap television!
I always did like the character of Sable much- much better than the character of Alexis to me the character of Sable was more classy & elegant that Alexis & both were absoutely great actresses 📺 & 📺

These two are close friends in real life and in interviews over the past few years they laugh about these scenes. Imagine they had much fun. Collins was also right with Diane Carrol and the two said they had fun. Joan wasn't right with Linda sadly so them catty scenes were probably more real then any of us knew at the time
Love these women. Sable was my favorite character in the show and then Alexis. Krystle just had a tendency to be sickeningly wholesome. Sable's voice though, husky yet smooth as silk. Plus, 1:20 to 1:22 needs to be made into a gif

Once someone prevented me from getting to the floor i intended to go to by keep on pushing the button on the outside of the lift, so walked out of the hotel and back to my car while she kept talking to me, expecting me to react angrily (i never do) i got into my car and waited for her to do exactly what i expected, she placed her hand on the door thinking it would keep it open, I pulled it closed with all my might and she lost 2 fingertips. That was fun. Personal cars are personal properties and nobody is allowed to prevent you closing the door of your car or your house, not even the police (without a mandate) and this lady had none. I kept on driving and left her to bleed on the sidewalk, the police came to my house, i shown them the penal and civil code and told them that it was an accident which could have been avoided if she didn't put her finger on the door. She tried to sue and lost so she had her tribunal and medical bills to pay. If someone harass you this way make sure to keep your cool and be kind and gentle, don't even raise your voice and then make sure to take that person to your car or your house and wait for her or him to put his or her hand in the door and then break it. You risk absolutely nothing. Accidents happen. My friend did even better. He had an ex who was bothering him endlessly and always in the most public way, so he decided to redesign his garden right in front of the house and decided to add a Japanese stone lantern. Not the cute little ones which are about 30 t0 50 cm tall, not the large temple one which are 4 meters tall, which are made of 5 pieces put one on top of the other, and had one placed right in front of his door. And then he placed signs all over his front porch warning people of danger and to not enter uninvited. The ex of course came and ignored the signs and from the inside of the house he pulled a rope and the hat of the lantern fell on the woman. Hats of 4 meters stone lanterns weigh about 60kg, and it fell right on her head, needless to say that calling rescue was unnecessary but he did anyway, after getting the rest of the rope out of the house. The warnings were everywhere, it was private property and nobody should have entered without being invited after ringing the bell at the gate. The police didn't bother more than 3 days and the case was closed. And he didn't shoot anyone or even answered the door when the ex came and it is all on camera so he was white as snow. They say the perfect crime doesn't exist but actually people die from accidents all the time and nobody is blamed. Just reproduce the accident and don't be there when it happens.

The Roger Grimes storyline was a bit of a continuity error....In Season 2...it was Roger's Dad that kidnapped little Blake....never once did they say he vanished.... only that Blake beat him up and Roger was wounded....in fact I think he was bought off and left....but then died of natural causes later...this was still entertaining though....but continuity errors suck

The scene I love the most of Sable; is when Jason had just admitted in court that he was indeed Jeff's father and she was waiting for him with a gun, telling him she won't think of a divorce because she loves who mrs Colby is, the clothes she wears, the friends she keeps and so on. Dynasty was real fun 💃
