- Many bicycles do not come with kickstands - so let’s install one! I’ve used this Bell Bracer 300 on five different bikes now and it performs well. I also bought this aftermarket kick stand the silver one it also comes in black and it's good ..I don't have to put my bike down on ground anymore as I also care about my bike paint I always retouch my paint everytime i get a scratch
Thanks for the demo. I bought my granddaughter a 16" girls bike; it did not have a kickstand so we the Concord kickstand (looked identical to Bells). The illustration really helped and the bolt adjusted nicely for the height! Appreciate you! Kay

Good video! Im having trouble fitting a chain stay mounted type kickstand to my mountain bike. Ordered this one from your store.

Good video. I bought my 20" city folder with a fitted kickstand and that was too long, this was straight from the manufacturer!
Thats a major bummer! Maybe you could just grind it off or use a hacksaw to shorten it?
Thanks, @GanderFlight ! My Trek FX the dealer had to add a kickstand and that was back in 2016. I just bought a new Univega 27.5" Weekend Escape 2.0 Step-Thru, and their entire line does not come with kickstands--UGH. It's crazy to think that any owner will not at some point need to park their bike to do nearly any old thing to it which is impossible without one.

my bike mechanic tighten it to the point that made the frame flat, i was there when he installed it, is that normal to tighten it up till the frame become flat?
It was tubular and is now flat...? Sounds like they crushed it to me.

Never heard of the Sataway so I can’t comment on that.
Just cut pole and use the plastic foot it come with, don't need bolt then .
The bolt is more durable and requires no cutting.

What if I am left footed
What if you are? I've never seen a kickstand on the right side of a bike - so youd probably have to make something custom to fit around the gears and chain on the other side.

@@GanderFlight - He might be saying that manufacturers are trying to save on money by not including a kickstand (and some amount of people will buy a kick stand from the same company maybe if they sell them separately).
This doesn't answer why everyone seems to take off their own kickstands, though. I think it's 99% a cool-factor thing, along with "dork-disks" and people not wanting a chainguard that decreases maintenance by a lot.
Then we have the super speedy road bike users who are trying to cut down on weight, either for speed, or for the bike to feel a certain way when riding.
Just reading reddit now... it seems the consensus is that it's kind of pointless for most types of bikes. They lock their bike up to something anyway, or just lean their bike on something or even put it on the ground. Kick stands can scratch paint and they don't want it to tip over, and bla bla.
Because people don't want added weight to their bikes so they come w/o kickstands. Also MTB and BMX bad idea having a kickstand because when you are flying thru the air if it goues to the down position and you land on it you can have serious problems.
I highly doubt weight is the driving factor. I guess the kickstand dropping down could be a factor, but Ive never had an issue with that. Itd be better to come with one that users can take off than needing to add aftermarket.
