The small Firman inverter generators are harder to service than other manufactures . 1 must lift up generator with boards / or jacks high enough to put a drain pan under the generator . 2 Very little room for servicing . Remove 4 screws on side panel for checking the oil and changing oil . don't forget to remove the rubber drain cover on the bottom of the generator . 3 For air filter cleaning remove side and rear access cover and all the screws to get to air filter housing hold down clamps need both outside covers removed , vert tight access ! 4 For replacing the battery need both access covers removed remove air filter box for access and room to lift and tilt the battery out and don't forget the battery hold down bolt ! . Replacing the spark plug is not a problem ., If you try to replace the battery without removing the air filter box here will not be enough room to remove it . Also other manufactures just have a big wing not to remove the Maintenace covers no screws no screw driver needed . I did not have any reliability problems it ran fine , Just hard to service , Also note if the inverter generator is dual fuel the flow regulator must be plunged in and must have a 12 volt source if not you can not run the generator on propane . The other manufactures just require a standard flow regulator after the pressure regulator for non gasoline use for propane or natural gas use so it does not need a 12 volt source . from the other brand generators .
@@FirmanPowerEquipmentthat is a link to your website, however if you type “oil” into the search bar it does not pull up the firman oil, etc. Just some feedback that it would probably be wise to have these maintenance items easier to find / purchase, particularly on your own website. My point was to have a link to specifically your oil, have a link to the items you’re recommending we use, not just a generic link to your website which seems to not have much of what you recommend.
@@FirmanPowerEquipment Sure, that is a link to your main website. When I type "oil" into your website it's not there. I was saying you should provide a link the items you're recommending we use, such as your oil, which one would assume could be purchased on your website.
This oil can be used anytime for your generator. We send it so you don't have to purchase oil for the break in period but it's not just meant for that.
Would not buy any of these compact models as they are a royal PIA if you have to perform any maintenance on them, which will always be the case at some point. Changing oil was not easy, battery replacement was a challenge. Now I'm trying to clean my carburetor and see that I have to take all of the generator housing off before I can first remove the whole carb before I can then access the bolt that holds the bowl in place. My first encounter with Firman support was lousy as well - a person on their chat that ghosted me, my phone call answered by someone who barely spoke English and never e-mailed me the document that he said that he would, and I've received no response to my on-line submission.
Nice tutorial..
Thank you
You're welcome.

A link to purchase all of these items on your website would’ve been a good idea
The second link on the video description is where you can purchase these items on our website: www.firmanpowerequipment.com
