Wow that's some really bad advice. 100 hours of runtime in between oil changes?! You guys really don't want your machines to last at all huh? The first 5-6 hrs of runtime to allow the wearing process to happen, change out that oil, and then every 25 hours of runtime maybe 50hrs if conditions are ideal using synthetic oil. 100 hours... that engine will be blown up for sure, or heavily worn to the point it's burning massive amounts of oil.

Hello, I bought one a few years ago and after assembling it i set it aside and about a month ago i added oil then started it but after testing it the air cleaner cover didn't stay snapped shut si i checked further and the air cleaner metal plate was bent and its bent in the areas where the screws go. Are there replacement parts since its out of warrenty even though its like new. Also after setting running theres bolts and nuts falling off. Looks to me they could be engine mount bolts.

Great video,I wish they had a amp draw display just like the hrs/hz/voltage that gives someone some kind of how much of load you have drawing on output of the outlet, How about making it less noisy maybe to 60 dbs and Also why not make a Inverter generator so the hz won't hurt critical equipment that needs the hz stable.

I don't think I will buy the brand again because of the difficulty of removing and replacing the battery on Firman Inverter generators. There needs to be an access door just for the battery. I have 3 Firman generators. 1 is gas and propane, the other 2 are gas only.

can you make a vid showing how to troubleshoot the 1200 model, last time i used it, it worked fine, 8 months later we lost power the other night and i tried to run it to power the tv for the wife and me, and it would only light up a led rope light, nothing else - when i metered it on voltmeter was getting 13.5 to 18.5 v on both outlets, i opened the cover and there is no visible avr on the 1200 model, so hopefully will be more simple to diagnose and hopefully fix as i cant afford a new one anytime soon and we have been losing power almost every other week. - many thanks in advance ! hoping its something in-expensive like the voltage regulator

sad thing is that you mention that we can call to get carb parts, when I called to inquire about the float valve spring, I was told I had to buy the whole carb as firman didn't have internal parts.

These generators are junk. I have two and receptacles don't hold cords plugged in any more, and the generator is just 2 years old. Can't use my power tools because cords won't stay plugged in.

It was a great presentation, but missed a lot of key points. Kinda like the instruction manual.

Looks very well made. But didn’t start on the first pull start up. Runs very nice. I’m happy so far. The instructions really need some work. Like points of interest. Most of the instructions look like they were done by a 3rd grader. More pictures with no instructions. Like simple brake in time on engine. Or when to change the oil. Or how to read the digital display. Or when to turn on off switches on or off when starting. All done in pictures. It’s like Firman put all of their money into making a great product and then skimmed on the instruction manual. One would think,you would get more for $1000 unit.

Just bought this!! My first generation here in NC after hurricane Helene. Any recommendations for this generator is appreciated. Plugs, extension cords, oil, ect.

I love my Firman generator. I bought 2 & would recommend Firman to others.

Biggest problem for T07571 is there is no shut off. So carbs will get gunk up all the time. I’ll have to add one on mine.

Would not buy any of these compact models as they are a royal PIA if you have to perform any maintenance on them, which will always be the case at some point. Changing oil was not easy, battery replacement was a challenge. Now I'm trying to clean my carburetor and see that I have to take all of the generator housing off before I can first remove the whole carb before I can then access the bolt that holds the bowl in place. My first encounter with Firman support was lousy as well - a person on their chat that ghosted me, my phone call answered by someone who barely spoke English and never e-mailed me the document that he said that he would, and I've received no response to my on-line submission.
